"I would highly recommend this company. They're a small company who's been in business for a very, very long time. hey are personable, no matter what size your job is. They" were quick to give me an estimate (very reasonable) for the whole house, but we elected to do partial wall-to-wall and some area rugs to match. Because of the time crunch for a wedding shower, they even took the carpet pieces for the rugs in and had them bound. So the day of the install, everything was done. No cleanup needed on our part. We could concentrate on the wedding shower! We love the carpet!

"We remodeled our kitchen and living room into a kitchen and great room. We removed a wall. Carpet was removed and new hardwood floor was installed. It had to be laced into the existing" hardwood floor.
was very conscientious about the stain color and made sure the color and finish was just what i had imagined for my new kitchen/great room. He performed the work as scheduled. There were no surprises.

"Their price was competitive, the installers were on time and completed the job as promised. They were professional and cleaned up after the job was completed.

Wood floor alternatives

Consumers have many choices beyond traditional hardwood floors, including wood laminate and renewable sources such as bamboo, cork and even leather. Some alternatives look virtually the same as hardwoods.

From the wall street journal online:

"Etiquette and tipping experts agree that tipping a contractor and his employees isn't expected because contractors offer to do a job for you at a specific price. Any extra money they would want would be built into their bid. Also, it's a business relationship rather than one where they are performing a personal service for you like a waiter or a maid. But if the employees do extra jobs around the house, then experts say it is appropriate to tip a cash amount equivalent to the task; "tip gifts" such as cookies and drinks can count. "The key to tipping is whether or not it was outside the scope of what was normally expected," says Mark Brenner, author of "Tipping for Success!"

My opinion is that a little bit of courtesy (snacks, drinks, expression of appreciation etc.) goes a long way and upon completion of their work you feel compelled by a job well done to offer a little extra in the form of a tip - go for it, but do not feel obligated.
Agreed.  If you have existing cracking in porcelain you need to know the cause first.  I don't know of any reputable contractor that would dare install tile over existing tile.  Also, any manufacturer warranties for defects would be null due to improper installation.  Did the contractor offer this solution or did you ask for it?  The mear fact that he is agreeing to or offering it tells me you need to leave this guy for someone who knows what they are talking about before he does only half the job which will have to be redone in the near future, costing you more in the long run.

I get so many calls from customers that were talked into a "cheaper" way to do something only to find the work very sub-par.  The sad part is they are out the money they spent in the first place along with the additional amount I have to charge just to undo what the first contractor did before I can do it right.  This floor could end up costing you double what it should if it's not done right.

showed up on time the morning after I spoke with him, tools and materials in hand. He worked for a couple days straight to rip out the old parquet flooring in the sun room that didn't match the rest of the house. He was referred to me from my realtor and I was impressed by his ability to start work so soon and the competitive pricing. I checked in on the work daily and was impressed by the progress. While doing the parquet flooring he was not able to bring up the baseboard in one piece but he replaced it with new baseboard instead and installed it. Overall the floors looked like new and I am happy with the results. If there was anything I would say that I would do differently next time would be to include in the quote all new baseboards and shoe molding since there are spaces between my floor and the wall, but that is just how the house is. Also I would plastic off the kitchen as there was quite a bit of dust, but it was alright since I didn't move into the house yet.
Please note I did not put the pricing out of respect for

I'm very satisfied with the quality of the materials and the professionalism of the installers. I'm disappointed with the poor communication between the store and the installers. For example the workman arrived at the house with carpet for the stairs that was the wrong color. A few months later we moved forward with carpeting the bedrooms and replacing the vinyl in the kitchen. When the installers arrived they did not have the vinyl for the kitchen. One more area of poor commination was in replacing a piece of trim between the hallway and the kitchen. The repair was originally scheduled for Monday but did not get completed until Friday. All of these issues were corrected and the job eventually completed to our satisfaction. I would consider this store for future projects but the communication between the store and the installers needs improvement.

We were very gunshy after a horrible experience with the original contractor we hired to do this work in April 2012 (see my reviews for backstory), but we were immediately at ease with

. They really seemed to know their stuff! During the demo they ran into some "issues" left over by the previous contractor but they took care of them without question. The quality of the tile work is excellent - and it is a night and day difference between that of the previous installer. They used all the proper materials, the correct type of grout, they kept the work area clean and neat, and moved right along on the job without any issues. We had a few special requests, which were all accommodated eagerly. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone, and we would definitely use them for future projects. Can't say enough good about them!

is very good at communication. Always making sure he knows exactly what you want. He had to move our whole landing in our front door area do accomodate ceramic tile. He did a very good job with that. He made suggestions that we hadn't thought of for our bathroom remodel and we LOVE how it turned out. His estimate is exactly what he billed - no surprises. The only thing that isn't estimatable is the parts he needs to complete the job but we feel it was reasonable.

My husband and I could not be more pleased with

Kansas City Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
was on time, polite, and incredibly knowledgable. He took the time to listen to what we wanted, answered our many questions, and walked us through the job from start to finish. Most importantly, there were ZERO surprises (a first for us)-The work was impeccable, on schedule, and on budget! We close on our new house in about a month, and we will absolutely be using

came out to measure and gave estimates. He was very professional and punctual. We worked with
Kansas City Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
Flooring off and on for almost a year, not sure of exact time, bringing home numerous samples and grout color choices. We never really found the tile we wanted to use with them, primarily because we have a difficult color situation in our kitchen. Our cabinets have a pickled finish that have yellowed with age. The only complaint I have with this company is that their tile selection is on the small side. I know father of the man who came out to measure was concerned with us not being able to choose a tile in the length of time we had been looking with them. The last time I was at their showroom he suggested I go directly to the tile supplier to make sure the dye lot of the tile we chose was going to work so there were no surprises. I guess I am very picky as I don't understand why that wouldn't be suggested to every customer that walks in the door. Isn't color and dye lot important to every customer? Maybe it isn't. Anyway, the father and son were always very kind and patient. And the woman that worked there on Saturdays,
