Kansas City Exterior Painters Reviews

"They were on time and professional. After a wind storm some of the lights blew off and they came back to secure them to the house. A few lights went out over the holidays but I didn't bother asking them to replace. I made note to tell them when they took them down so they can be repaired for next holiday season.

"The painters were neat and worked with care. They did not get as much done as I had been told they could get done in the time they were to be here under the deal so I paid for an extra hour for two painters as I recall. They also were to repaint a small area of new siding that had had one coat that I put on earlier. That did not get doen as far as could see from the differences in color. It may just be that the job became more than the man who estimated what they could do for the deal had planned.

"They came out and installed the lights when promised. Weather conditions blew the lights off the roof in a few spots which they came out to fix. A few lights went out during the holidays. We didn't call to have them replaced but made note when they picked them up. Very responsive and professional. Quality of lights weren't as bright as we had hoped. We will work with the team regarding lights for the upcoming holiday season.

"We needed to do a significant amount of repair work on the exterior of our house and have it painted. I thought I would probably need to hire a carpenter for the repairs, a painting crew to paint and then a gutter company to finish it off. I saw
Kansas City Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
working in my neighborhood and decided to give them a call.
Kansas City Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
looked at my house and assured me that he and his crew(s ) could take care of everything I needed to have done. We decided to go with
Kansas City Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
are thrilled with the results.
The crews were on time, worked hard, were friendly, (not just with us but even with each other,) answered any questions we had and seemed to actually enjoy what they were doing. When it came time for the more involved wood repair work
Kansas City Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
brought in a professional carpenter to insure that everything was done properly. Likewise, the guttering was done by specialists to insure proper materials and installation.
While the job was underway we had neighbors commenting on how hard the crews were working and how extensive the prep work was. The entire house was primed and then given a heavy finish coat. It looks great!
Kansas City Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
provided us with all in one service on for our house restoration/painting needs. We received quality work done in a timely fashion, as described, with no surprises. A real value.
I would recommend them to anyone with no reservations.

"Everyone at
Kansas City Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
was a pleasure to work with.
Kansas City Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
came by my house for the initial bid and came out a second time to evaluate some comments from another painter, and was able to suggest a better (and cheaper) solution. His bid was right in line with my expectation (perhaps a bit under), and communication was great throughout.
Kansas City Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
even suggested a contractor for a couple small interior construction projects, which has worked out great.
The team was prompt, courteous, professional, and clean. Aside from a couple closets, they painted every interior wall in my home. They were very flexible throughout the process, as I changed the color on a few walls after I didn't like the look of what I had initially chosen. They were very fair in pricing the additional work.
Everyone was very attentive to detail and made sure the finish was excellent.
Kansas City Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
, especially, picked out many areas for touch up that I would have accepted as-is, so I felt very comfortable pointing out even the smallest of details. It's clear that their goal is to get it right.
As a normal DIY'er that actually enjoys painting, I am very pleased that I chose
Kansas City Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
and would absolutely recommend them. I am planning to have them back in the spring to bid the exterior of my home.

"When undertaking a large home improvement project, it is important to supervise its progress from start to finish. This can only go well if the service provider is knowledgeable and responsive, and that's why working with
Kansas City Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
(Who *is*
Kansas City Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
) is such a positive experience, and will lead to a positive result. He is exceptionally willing to work with the homeowner to achieve the desired result, and if something goes wrong, he will put it right. My 55-year-old home has never looked better.
Kansas City Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
uses only premium materials, and applies the paint generously. The result is a rich, silky finish that gets nothing but very positive comments

"Overall our paint looks great and I'm satisfied with the outcome of our paint job. We chose
Kansas City Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
because they use their own crew rather than subs, touted their lead safe approach and seemed to be more sensitive to the carpentry needs of an old old house.
That said, there were some hiccups along the way. The first day the prep crew removed the gutters, did the carpentry, glazing, removed the storm windows, caulked the house, scraped paint and power-washed the house.
Our contract explicitly stated "
Kansas City Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
is an RRP EPA Certified Firm, We will establish containment prior to the start of prep work, Scraping/ Sanding will be done over heavy plastic/ contained/ and properly disposed of NO paint chips or debris will be left behind. Work area will be properly cleaned." but unfortunately drop cloths were not put down around portions of the house leading to extensive amounts of paint chips ending up on the ground.
Additionally the crew left trash around the yard, broke a window well cover, trampled some garden plants, one of the rafter tails is crooked and some windows were not even glazed.
When we informed
Kansas City Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
of this, he came out and did a walk around of the property with us. He agreed that the paint chips were a problem and was very apologetic. He sent some crew over to clean it up (with vacuums--not sure that's the best way to pick up lead paint?)--but once there are paint chips in your yard, it's pretty impossible to get them up. The glazing was also corrected by a crew member he sent over prior to the painting--this crew member was also supposed to do some work on the crooked rafter tail and a stucco patch but just disappeared without a word before completing that work.
When it came time for painting, the paint crew was night and day better, friendlier and more professional than the prep crew. They had a lead guy who would communicate with us regularly about the progress of the painting and anything else we needed to know.
Ultimately, the paint looks great and we're happy to have it done but it was stressful to have to push to get the prep crews problems fixed and paint chips remain around our house.

"I hired
Kansas City Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
for repairs and staining of two decks at rental units of mine. Our contract called out specific repairs (shown below) that were to be included in this job. Despite our contractual agreement, these repairs were never made.

- 12 2x6x10 boards to be replaced on flooring of 7705 deck
- 4x4x2 post on 7705 deck to be replaced and set on concrete footing
- 4x4x3 post on 7707 deck to be replaced, installed on concrete footing and secured by post
Kansas City Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked

- Replace 2 2x4 posts on 7707 staircase with 4x4 posts and install on concrete footing
In addition to not completing all the contracted work, it took them 34 days before they claimed the work was completed. When bidding this job, the quote from
Kansas City Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
was nearly $400 more than the cheapest quote. The only reason I chose them was because their representative committed to completing the work in three days by August 1st. The work that was actually completed was not finished until September 2nd. So not only did they fail to complete all contracted work, they also failed to deliver on their timeline commitment.
To make matters worse, I paid half the cost upfront using my credit card. Without my authorization,
Kansas City Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
charged the remaining balance to this same credit card immediately after claiming to have completed the work. In fact, I received an email on Labor Day saying the work was complete. My credit card was billed less than 24 hours after sending this email. I did not have a
Kansas City Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
to review the work or was never able to speak to someone to complain about all the delays before my credit card had been billed. I requested that this final credit card transaction be cancelled and my request was ignored. After having a
Kansas City Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
to review the work, I sent an email to
Kansas City Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
complaining about the delays and the contracted work they did not complete. The response I received said that the repairs listed in our contract could not be completed within budget and I would need to pay more to get those repairs made. This was the first I had heard that the repairs
Kansas City Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
committed to making were not going to be completed.

Throughout this entire process, there was very little communication regarding the status of the work. Despite leaving at least four voice messages and sending at least one email, I only received one phone call and one email in response. Both responses claimed weather was causing the delays. Using historical weather data from www.weather.com anyone can see that 23 days in August were without precipitation and the last 19 days of the month were dry so weather was not the cause of the delays.
Dealing with
Kansas City Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
has been a completely negative experience for both me and the tenants at my rental units. Given their complete failure to deliver on their commitments, I find it hard to believe that anyone would have a good experience with
Kansas City Exterior Painters Provider Name Locked
and I am scratching my head wondering how a company like this can stay in business.
