"I had called Able because of their low charge ($9.95) for a service call and the recommended rating from Angie's List. Was able to set up an evening appointment during the week which was a major plus. Tech arrived about 30 minutes late (no call, I called to confirm he was still coming) and made diagnosis within minutes accompanied with a quote for repair. Had part on truck and finished job in about 35 minutes from arrival. I had an expired coupon that he allowed me to still use.
I was quite happy with the with the overall experience and would not hesitate to call Able for any other problems I might have in the future."

"Initially she asked if I would be home the next morning, but when I stated it was an emergency said she would try to get someone that afternoon. She called back and said 
would be coming that afternoon. then called to say he would be there in a few hours. called again when he was on his way. When he came, he said the good news would be a bad relay. The bad news would be the compressor, which would be more expensive than a new unit. He put the relay on and thought for a moment it had worked. When it didn't, he gave me advice on what brand to buy and where to buy it. Then he did not charge for either relay or service call."

" came 1 hour after my phone call, pulled out the refrig.but found no leak. He then looked into the inside of the box and found behind the back of the freezer wall a thick ice encasement of the coil which he melted away. The thermostat which controls icing was malfunctioning . He replaced it with a new one from his truck. He found nothing more so he left. The next morning the floor was wet once more and came right out. This time he found a small crack in the dual water/ice control valve , removed it and replaced it with a new one from his truck. After that we found that the water flow to the ice maker and ice water tap had almost doubled. This time he never had to come back and we were very faithful for that."

"I used to fix our refridgerator, which was quite ancient.
Although we lived in a rural area, about 15 miles away, they did not hesitate or complain about this issue.
The owner came out on time, took his time to properly analyse the problem. He ordered the proper part, which took a great deal of searching as internet was not as useful then.
He installed the motor, standing by the estimate, and even called back one week later to assure all was working properly.
Used again 2 years later to charge up our AC unit. Was cost effective and fixed promptly.
Will use again in a heartbeat!"

"Our seven year old dryer quit drying. The drum would turn and it blew air, just not warm air. I suspected the heating element was out. Called and set an appointment. I work evenings, so they needed to be out in the morning. came out first thing in the morning and within half an hour he had the problem diagnosed and the bad element replaced, as well as cleaning out lint that had been there for 7 years and checking the vent connections and the air flow to the vent. He was very professional and explained what he was doing. It's nice to know there is still someone that takes pride in their work and does an excellet job. "

"My washer was leaking and I had NO idea what to do. After looking on Angie's List I called this company. They were wanting to send someone out that same day; unfortunately I couldn't get off work. So we made the appointment for the next day. The serviceman phoned to confirm his arrival and was prompt. He was very patient while I explained in 's terms the problem. He was extremely courteous and answered all of my questions, even those that after thinking about what I had asked, didn't sound too intelligent. While we were waiting for my washer to fill with water (so he could test it), we made small talk and he explained the differences in washer types to me. That was very interesting and helpful. He didn't have to visit with me, but he did - a great example of constituent relationship management. I will definitely use them again! Oh, and the status of my washer? I overfilled it with clothes. :)"

"I had a free 20 minute or so phone conversation regarding my Calypso as I'm somewhat experienced with it and it's difficulties, and he as very respectful and informative and offered all this information without even coming out, as the likelihood for it to be repaired was low. I took the gamble anyway and he spent over an hour here on it and then even hooked up a dryer for me. Also repaired a broken baffle in it without me even asking! So nice and so trustworthy. If all repair people were like this (cars, plumbers, etc.) we'd all be better off! Highly recommend them."

"The serviceman showed up on time and was very professional. He knew what the problem was right away and priced it out for me. I was told the part would have to be ordered and I would have to pay a deposit for that part (which I didn't like, but I do understand why). After paying the deposit I went on-line to see how much I could buy the part for and found that it was less than half of what I was getting charged. The part came in and the repairman did a great job but I am still trying to find out why I was charged so much for the part. I understand making a profit on purchased parts, but 120% profit on a part seems outrageous to me. Management is supposed to call me back and I'll report if we resolve this. This is my only complaint, otherwise they did a great job, and so far so good with my fridge."

"The office told me a service call cost only $45 but failed to mention it was $45 for each appliance examined. The technician told his office they should make the upfront charges clearer in the future. The service charges were both waived as I chose to have the work completed (as I am on crutches). I believe the charges, however, are structured on the assumption that only one appliance is being fixed on any call; so when 2 or more are fixed, the company is raking in something like a windfall profit. I understand this is apparently common practice in the industry. The tech, very nice guy, was understanding of my lament on paying $388 for less than an hour's work, but of course could not or would not do anything."

"Called in the morning, and they were out by afternoon. Replaced fan motor, cleaned up the dust from under the refrigerator an finished within a half hour. The also gave advice on models of dishwashers they would recommend. "
