"The staff at were phenomenal. These people are very caring and offer support above and beyond through the whole process...start to finish." I have seen funeral directors (For people) that didn't care as much as these people. They have nice options for urns also. They bubble wrapped the urn to protect it on the way home and had it in a nice cloth bag, as well as some other things in the bag. We had forgot our towels that we had our cat wrapped in. washed the towels and had them in the bag. I can not say enough good things about these people...They were awesome!

"Summary: Dogs went in for pre-dental screening/evaluation, blood work, and dental cleaning. The vet, Dr. Banks, said only 2-4 teeth needed" to be extracted during the eval, then removed 14 teeth from the dogs on the operating table, without notifying me. They charged me almost double the estimated cost. When I couldn't pay in full, they REFUSED to provide any medication or prescriptions, including pain pills and antibiotics, knowing the dogs would have insufficient medication to prevent infection. They attempted to withhold copies of the medical record and after conceding, discharged me as a client for "refusing" to pay, even though arrangements had been made to pay the following Friday. The vet refused to speak to me and I was mistreated by two staff members for not having more money. MALPRACTICE. Details: I brought my dogs in for a dental cleaning. Before they could get the cleaning, they had to get up to date on their shots, check for worms, and have their blood drawn. The shots and worm check were over $120. Dr. Banks performed a "thorough" tooth inspection, stating that 2-4 teeth needed to be removed between both dogs and quoted us $310 for dental, which included the pre-anesthesia blood work (at $45/dog) and tooth cleaning ($100/dog plus the 2-4 extractions at $10-25/each tooth). In reliance on that price, we scheduled the dental cleaning and budgeted accordingly. When I brought them in for their blood work, I was asked to sign a so-called "contract" allowing for extractions, though which extractions were not defined. It should have been the ones discussed at the pre-dental screening when the vet conducted her "thorough" exam....That was my understanding and no one on staff said anything contrary prior to the surgery. I dropped them off in the morning for surgery and called about noon to find out how the dogs were doing. I was told they were recovering well. Nothing more. When I picked them up that afternoon the guy at the front, , handed me their bag of medication, including antibiotics and pain pills, to keep them out of pain and stop infection. I was then informed--THEY RIPPED 14 TEETH OUT OF MY DOGS' MOUTHS! NOT ONE PHONE CALL. NOT ONE INQUIRY to find out if this was alright?!? It's NOT alright! I was presented with a bill for $395, for JUST the tooth cleaning and extractions. That was nearly $200 MORE than I was quoted, and when I asked about it, he pointed to the alleged "contract" and basically said I agreed to pay ANY price because I agreed to "extractions"! WHAT?!? I only had $245 set aside for the dental (since I had already paid $90 of the $310, the quoted price). I couldn't pay the full balance. I even pulled from my gas and grocery money to give them more ($50), to try and pay it down. So, after shaming me for not being more financially prepared, he went and spoke to Dr (this IS a VERY low-cost clinic, btw, so who expects a nearly $200 increase in the price??). He returned and very grimly said to make sure I "pay by close of business Friday." Though, what happens if I don't, I didn't know...But I agreed to pay on Friday, regardless. Then, HE TOOK THE BAG OF MEDICATION AWAY FROM ME. I was refused the antibiotics and pain pills after they ripped the teeth from my dogs' mouth, causing them irreparable harm. My boy dog has ZERO front teeth on his . But, according to them, they could have justified ripping every single tooth out and then charged me for it, based upon the "contract." That's a LIE; it's unethical, and illegal--it's malpractice. I got my dogs back and brought them home to recover; I could see they were in pain. I returned to the clinic with my mother the next day to try and resolve the conflict and get a prescription for the meds to take elsewhere, so my dogs didn't get sick and could get pain pills. I asked for copies of the medical records to review and was initially denied for "non-payment." I was asked again to pay the balance. I explained I had already made arrangements to pay Friday when my husband got his check. I didn't have the money to pay today. I was told no medical records until I pay...(that's also illegal, btw). When I insisted, I asked to speak to Dr and waited 30 minutes to do so. After 30 minutes, I was given an "original copy" of my medical records. However, new notes had been added: I had been "discharged" as a client, so they would no longer be responsible for any patient/provider requirements. WHAT?!? They said I refused to pay, which is also untrue! Dr refused to speak with me. Apparently, since I had been discharged, she was no longer required to do so. I asked for help in obtaining the meds or the scripts so my dogs didn't get sick. The vet assistant, , came out a few minutes later with a smug smile across her face that already told me what was to come. I explained my dogs were in pain, they needed their medication, and they could get an infection because your office took out 14 TEETH. She treated me like a piece of $&%T deadbeat, because I "didn't pay." I reminded her that her office created the harm and it's unethical and MALPRACTICE to refuse to give me medication or provide scripts. "Well, you should have paid the bill." I argued with her about that to no avail. All the while she placidly grinned, eager to refuse my requests. She also told me the 2-days of antibiotics my dogs were given on the operating table would "have to do," even though she admitted that would not be enough to prevent an infection. She BLATANTLY REFUSED any aid, despite knowing my dogs were suffering and COULD GET WORSE because of clinic's misconduct! A script costs them NOTHING! It was more manipulation, more abuse, and more punishment for not having the money to pay for their heinous rip-off ... When I argued about being "discharged" she said since I've been discharged, she's "legally not allowed to provide medical care." I left, furious. My mother spoke to her as well, and she was condescending, rude, and disrespectful to my mother, too. So, first Dr severely underestimates the cost of the dental surgery. Is there something more going on here? Do they hook you on the low price at the beginning, then rope you into a vague, open-ended "contract" that would essentially permit them to rip out ALL of your dogs teeth and then charge you for it with a smile on their faces? Does Dr not know what she's doing and was unable to give an accurate estimate of the status of their teeth? Either one means she surely should not be performing dental surgery. If she cannot accurately assess teeth by touch and feel and looking at them (like any good doctor or dentist, or PROFESSIONAL), then she couldn't know whether they needed to be removed on the operating table. How do you go from 2 teeth in the initial exam to 14 teeth on the operating table without someone having made unprofessional decisions? Truly egregious behavior! Please note, my dogs had their teeth cleaned 2 years ago with zero extractions at another vet in town. So, in two years in very healthy dogs on a very healthy diet, they had 14 teeth that went sour? Umm....possible, but highly unlikely! This ordeal makes me think they are ripping out extra teeth to up the price. $10-25/tooth is a hefty sum...and when, according to two members on staff, they can charge you any amount, remove ANY number of teeth, and you have to pay for it, or they withhold medication... What recourse do you have after the is done? It's not like they can put the teeth back... They exceeded their estimate to me by 45%, without notice or informed consent. Anywhere else, that would be illegal and a client wouldn't be expected to pay. I think most people, if they had it, would just PAY the inflated bill on the spot, for (1) fear of having issue with their dog being returned and (2) being refused medication that will help their injured pet! It's ABUSE and shouldn't be allowed to continue! I used to LOVE this clinic. Everyone there was helpful and seemed to have a genuine concern for the well-being of my pets. Now I know its all a facade. I brought my animals there for over 2 years. Then, in one fell swoop, they destroyed my TRUST, harmed my dogs, treated me with tremendous disrespect and abuse, and threw me away as a client because I couldn't pay their egregious bill. , I TRUSTED YOU WITH MY PRECIOUS DOGS! HOW DARE YOU?!?!? Dr , do you know what's going on at your Clinic??? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take your dog somewhere else! It's just not worth the price. Furthermore, if you do get a dog-dental ANYWHERE, tell them NO extractions except those you have explicitly authorized. I don't want you or your pets to go through what my family has been put through! And I really want your dogs to be able to chew hard food again, because they were able to keep their teeth! *Please note these are my opinions based upon my experiences and direct observations. I expressly revoke any permissions, consent, prior agreements, or documentation within the scope of my relationship with and its staff.

Angie's Answers

?

Hi

The first answer is pretty thorough but I would like to add a few points.

First.. the type of food you are feeding your dog may be the key.  If you are using a food that is grain, rice or corn based in the first three ingredients, please change to a food that is meat or chicken based.  Many dogs are allergic to grain, rice, wheat and corn and these things are used as primary ingredients in many well known, name brand dog foods.  Secondly, all treats that have these ingredients should be cut out.  It takes weeks to months before a food change can show results so you must be patient.  Jumping from one food to another will be counter-productive.

Some dogs are so allergic to flea or other insect bites that one or two bites can cause a severe reaction.  Once the itching/scratching cycle begins, it is hard to stop it.  Benadryl is good but I suggest liquid form.  You can get it inexpensively at one of the dollar stores.  The pills take time to break down in the digestive system so you get better and faster results with the liquid. One tsp= 5cc and most dogs of average size can tolerate that much and more if the dog is a larger breed.

Allergy testing is very expensive and most dogs will test positive to some things.  That does not mean that the itching is coming from those things as many things in the environment can trigger positive test results.  Breaking the cycle of itching is primary and that can be done with prednisone ( short term and last resort after benadryl and bathing), allergy shots( same deal, last resort after easier methods).   This spring and summer have been particularly hard, weather-wise.

Good luck!

After you search for the company, you should get the "no results" page. Scroll down just a little bit, and you'll see a button and a link that say "Add this provider." Click on that to add them to the List! Thanks for the great question.
?
I'm really sorry! It looks like we made some site changes I hadn't noticed before and it made things just a little more confusing (for me, too!). We'll have to look into this to make it easier.
In the meantime, here's what you do:
1) Look for the Submit a Report button. It's yellow and on the right-hand side of the page.
2) Search for the animal cancer care clinic you're looking for. The search box should be inside a yellow bar.
3) You should see a list of potential matches, but on top of those, there should be "add a provider to the List" text in blue, which is where you'll click to get to the add page.

Let me know if you have any trouble. Sorry, again, for this being so confusing.

Our little parrot was treated with loving care and has been in all the 15 years we have been taking her here. They know she is the nervous type and always give her extra love to try to keep her calm. They have also boarded her in the past as well as performed all her physicals. We love the atmosphere, the cleanliness, and their ...More obvious love for birds! Dr is especially gentle and even remembers from when she was a baby. (By the way, we thought was a he until SHE laid and egg 2 years ago!)

No greeting from the receptionist(obviously did not want to be there)Waited approx. 10 min - no problem - ushered into examination room - doctor arrived quickly - she asked two questions (flea meds/heartworm meds) and administered the shot and left. No introduction( Hi-I'm doctor so/so-how are you?) no interaction with client, no interest in pet ...More or owner- just" pay at the front desk". Guess I didn't spend enough money to warrant that human touch. Usually doctors are much more proficient at feigning interest in their clients/patients-not so in this encounter.

I used to use MRAH for my cats wellness checks and vaccinations for many years. They are very good with general services. The staff is very friendly and all really care about animals. Had two very sad episodes with two different cats during the years I used this vet service. One cat (Pumkin) had heart problems the vet did not find during wellness ...More checks and he had a stroke one night at home and died at the emergency vet clinic. The other cat (Scooby) turned out to have a brain tumor that was not detected until he went blind one day and he eventually died of that. MRAH referred Scooby to specialists, but they couldn't help either. don't really believe MRAH did anything wrong, but feel sad about it anyway. My main issue for changing vets was that MRAH changed their hours and are only open some Saturdays, which is inconvenient for me. When I was adopting a new cat I needed a vet on Saturday to check him over before bringing him home and that was a weekend they were closed. Have also found it very expensive to have to use the emergency vet clinic after hours or on the weekend so found a vet that is open longer hours and also on the weekend, which works better for me. If MRAH expands their practice and were open more on the weekend and later hours during the week I would consider going back there again as it is closer to my house and their staff and vet are very nice people.

Ever since his diagnosis and treatment my pooch has been doing much better. This last visit his foot looked to be infected, but come to find out it was his allergies. He was given two shots, and provided us with a solution to clean his foot with for the next 10 days.

My cat was sick and it was impossible to get her to the Vet. Dr and staff came and found the reason my cat was sick. She also gave her her shots.
Then my dog decided the car was too much for her so again called Dr for routine exam, shots and nails. What a wonderful service ...More for those who work or can't drive for them to come to your house. I really did not find the cost anymore then the regular vet I have been going to. I highly recommend them!!!!!
