From what I can see in a picture of the item, there does not appear to be anything special about the glass. unless it has an Ikea emplem on it or special etching or something, any normal window glass replacement company like Speedy Glass or such should be able to cut and install replacement glass - probably about $100-300 depending on whether a pane or entire door-sized panel of glass, depending on which style you have.
?
Just about every sliding door I have installed is put in in sections. If it is a brand name you may be able to purchase a replacement panel from a lumber yard or call a glass company to replace just the glass. I have seen some windows and doors that have a "welded" plastic frame that is next to impossible to replace just the glass. I hate to give estimated costs on labor or material since they very by manufacturer and regional prices but I would think you are in the $250-350 range in labor plus cost of glass or panel.
?

Could be held on with concealed mirror fasteners (usually a clip or notched "button" design, with very litle showing outside the mirror, or none showing if has trim around it, or with large dabs or swipes of mirror adhesive or liquid nails. The former leaves minimal damage when removed - no more than a heavy duty picture hanger, the latter leaves divots in drywall, as you surmised, and holes in the drywall if a piece of plywood is not used as a prypoint when prying it off.

If you want to try to save the mirrors, then a glass and mirror installer is needed - they can remove them from the hangers, or cut the adhesive with wire saw - though that will add probably 2-3 hours labor per room. Then you would need a painter who also does minor drywall repairs.

If not saving the mirrors, then I suspect you could get a Handyman to pop them off, repair the divots, and repaint. Otherwise, a Painter would probably be glad to do it and repair the damage and repaint - just be prepared for a hefty charge for duct tape - like $100-200, because that is the best way to do this - duct tape the surface completely, pry the mirrors off (commonly breaking them), then cut through the tape to make pieces of glass manageable and of a size to fit in garbage can or box for hauling out. Be sure to emphasize PLYWOOD protection for floors, overlain by canvas or plastic, when removing the mirrors - drop a good sized piece and you have significant flooring damage.

Here is a prior response for a similar situation, including the same suggestions about removal, but also a bunch of ideas of how to leave the mirrors and cover or integrate them - which can be a LOT cheaper than paying a two-man crew for a day to remove mirrors, depending on solution you choose.

 http://answers.angieslist.com/Need-rid-wall-mirrors--q67621.aspx

this is probably a quarter to full days job to remove depending on how fastened and if saving or not, so about $200-800 range. Drywall repair and painting probably about another $150-250 range, so ballpark numbers - pushing $300-400 if mirrors come off easy (bracketed) or can be scrapped, more like a thousand $ if saving mirrors.

Your Search the List category is Glass and Mirrors - the Speedy Glass type company that does home and auto glass replacement.

If the glass is held in with window putty (a doughy tan or white putty) or by a wood trim piece all around it pinching it in place, then you can probably fix it yourself for about $15 piece of glass at a glass replacement place or somehome improvement/lumberyards.

If the glass is multiple-pane, or encased in a metal frame, then not easy to do yourself, though in some situations with single-pane you could remove the glass mounting frame entirely, use larger glass, and install with window putty. Double or triple pane you need then to fabricate a new "glazing unit" for you - the glass layers all enclosed in the metal encasing unit.If you are going to pay for that, might as well have them put it in too.

We have a very odd master bathroom that needed some help. A large frosted glass partition was installed which helped to give the

It started out just fine. An appointment was made for Friday at 1 PM to complete a pre-paid repair for a real estate closing. Then all went south. The installer called me twice before 9 AM on Friday to see if he could come early.
I told him I was on my way to an appointment the first time he called. And the second. No means no.
1 PM came and went. No installer. He called at 1:25 to cancel the appointment and reschedule for Saturday at noon.
At 12:20 on Saturday I called to find out where he was. He was "on his way". He arrived at 12:45 without an apology or a word and got the job finished quickly. I have also just finished cleaning up after him. He tracked dirt and leaves into the house on his three trips to the truck. The front door was left wide open as was the window he was working on as he trekked in and out. Because I have a pet this is not something I want to happen. Window parts were left lying on the floor and dirt and debris from fixing the window were left on the windowsill. I took photos.

The contact was a little shaky, and a little slow. But they did great work, were pleasant, and the price was right. There was a problem with a supplier, which accounted for some, though not all, of the slow communication. But they absolutely went way out of their way to set it right in the end. I've used a few glass people in Jacksonville, and these have been the best.

I've used him before. He's cut mirrors for me and glass frames. They're prompt and give you exactly what you want, at a reasonable price. The frame he's done for me fit perfectly. He's just one guy out there in Orange Park. They're a good little company.

Be very careful using this company. They assume you are an expert on showers and know exactly what you need to say. I had a door installed by them, great door at a great price, only to find out that instead of installing at the
Jacksonville Glass Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
of my shower lip, which is where I wanted it because my shower is a little tight to begin with, they did it right right in the middle, taking away precious inches from a smaller size shower. I call and discuss it with
Jacksonville Glass Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
, who pretty much tells me that I should have known to ask that and they just install the doors the standard way. I don't know about anyone else, but I am not an industry expert on shower doors, which is obviously why I purchased from a company, so I had no idea that I needed to ask to have my shower door be installed a certain way. I had assumed if I needed to ask it to be installed a certain, the industry experts that were installing it would have asked me. Now, because I was stupid and didn't think to ask I question I had no knowledge of asking, I have my shower door installed not the way I wanted it AND there is no way to fix it without having holes in my brand new, very expensive tile! I guess the old saying goes, "buyer beware". If the price is too good, there's a reason for it sadly. Oh and ON TOP OF ALL THAT, I had paid extra money to have 2 towel bars on the doors only to find out that the, again, "standard" way of installing the doors was having one of the towel bars right
Jacksonville Glass Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
dab next to my toilet!! So now on top of having a smaller shower, I get to hang my towels right next to where I pee. Again, as
Jacksonville Glass Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
explained, unbeknownst to me, mainly because the picture he sent was VERY misleading, that's the standard way they have to install the doors and there's nothing they can do. "Buyer beware" or to put it another way, don't expect that you don't have to do your own homework but because you're paying hundreds of dollars to a company expecting they would handle it.

As far as the estimate and measuring , it went without a hitch. The installation was excellent. They arrived on time and were out in minimal time. The doors look great and the installers were curteous and very helpful with telling me about different option I could get Really, the only complaint I have with this company is the way they do their appointment setting. I called on three different occaisions to get an estimate visit set up, and didn't get a call back until the third try. Almost gave up on them. Glad I didn't, they did a great job.

Never received phone call, no one came to my home. Apparently, Mr.

It has been several months since the work was performed. I waited this long before writing a review so that I could be as objective as possible. First, let me be clear that this review is of the company that installed the windows, not the windows themselves. Secondly, a bit of history. I have owned three houses in Jacksonville. I purchased replacement windows for each of them. On the first house, I used Window World, and had one of their subcontractors install them. On the second house, I also used Window World products, but installed them myself. On my current house, I used
Jacksonville Glass Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
(referred to as AWP for the rest of this review) and had their in-house crew complete the installation. For an installation to go smoothly, a great deal rides on the ability of the salesman to measure and apply his construction knowledge to the particulars of the home, and have the attention to detail necessary to properly order the windows from the manufacturer. The salesman from AWP did a generally good job of doing this. There are over thirty windows in the house, so it is a lot to put on paper. Upon installation, there were two windows that did not fit like they should have. One had to be coaxed into the opening by force, and the other had a larger than intended gap at the bottom, which the installer attempted to hide by placing a strip of vinyl across the gap (the only window that was given this treatment on the interior). The remaining windows were within the range of fitment that AWP likes to see, with approximately 1/4" gaps around the edges, and more or less the same at the bottom. Some of the widows had 3/8" gaps on the sides, which I think is a bit excessive, but I was told by the installation foreman that this is typical for this particular company, and I am sure that is the case. Overall, though I am happy with the way the windows fit, and once I finish trimming out the interior, they will all look great, and the window that fits tight appears to work perfectly, so no harm there. I guess the opening was square enough not to affect it. By comparison, the Window World windows (branded as Comfort World) in my last two houses fit the openings with 1/8" gaps or less. Those windows had a foam strip along the edges, and when the windows were placed into the openings, they held themselves in there and I just had to screw them in and trim them out. I credit this to the salesman who obviously had years of experience measuring and receiving feedback on the fit. That part is a salesman to salesman comparison, which can change at any time, and will vary based on what this one particular person thinks is an adequate or necessary gap or fitment. The problem with a wider gap is that is creates more work for me later on to properly seal it and trim it, and it would have been much more difficult to install them myself. However, a narrow gaps leaves less leeway for out-of-square window openings. I do not think one way is better than the other, just different. Let me make an observation on work crews at this point. I went with AWP this time thinking that their in-house installation crew might have a more vested interest in the installation and do a better job than a subcontractor. I know now that this is not necessarily the case. When I used Window World on my first house, their subcontracted crew did a decent job. The AWP crew did about the same in terms of quality. The part of their installation efforts that is visible is the caulk on the exterior. There is not quite enough space for me to trim this, so AWP installed a bead of caulk, which had to be rather large due to the particular way the house window openings were made, and the larger gap that AWP likes to specify. The caulking job could be better. It looks OK in most places, and I will admit it was difficult to apply under the circumstances, but from an in-house crew, I expected better. I will say that the caulk they used appears to be excellent for the application. Overall, though, the crew was about what you get with most construction crews anywhere you go. No one will build, install, paint, clean, or whatever as well as you would do with your own home. If you want a job done right....... . After I saw the caulk job on the exterior, I decided to finish out the interior myself. Some of the windows on the inside have a gap too large to caulk and have it look good, so I am trimming them in with quarter-round. AWP was very responsive to problems that arose after the initial installation. The building inspector noted that not enough screws were used in the installation and that tempered glass was inadvertently not specified to the manufacturer for those windows that required it. Both issues were fixed in a reasonable manner and time period. The installation crews were reasonably neat and treated the house well, though I am still picking up random caulk tube caps and vinyl trimmings from the yard. I think AWP did a solid job for the price, and I am happy with the result. My overall rating is a B, which I consider to be above average. An A would be tough to get in the construction/renovation field.
