was very professional and answered all my questions about wells and pumps. It's hard to find someone to work on wells and pumps. Most plumbers don't know how to deal with them. I would call
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
again in a heartbeat to help me. He was at my house quickly and was available by phone to answer questions.
The best part was that
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
recommended a handyman who has really come in handy for me. As a single

Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
saying he didn't know how to help me further but recommended someone who could.

"I called
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
Well Pump on the 24th of December because i had a problem with my water pressure. He was recommended by a friend of mine who is a plummer. He told me that he does good work and is an honest person. So i called
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
and he told me that he would try to get my problem resolved asap. Maybe even the same day even though it was probably after 2:00 p.m. then, plus it was his wife's birthday. I felt very lucky to find someone that would come out this close to Christmas and considering the time of day. He said he couldn't leave me with no water?
A little later
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
and a helper came out and diagnosed my problem, which was a line ruptured that supplies water to the house from the well pump. He dug the line up and repaired it before he would leave, even though it was getting dark.
I am very happy with their service from the first call to the very end. His price was very reasonably also. I would highly recommend

Well Pump Service.
Good honest people. I will use you again. Thanks!!!!!!!!

"At roughly 11:30pm on a Saturday night I discovered that our sump pump had become overwhelmed and the sump pit was backing up a bit. The back up alarm was going off so I went to the basement to reset it. When I knelt down to do so, I heard a
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
coming from the PVC pipe that was attached to both the sump pump and the drain line leading out of the house. After just a couple second of this hissing sound, the pipe fell off completely almost as if it were saying, "Forget this, I give up! No more water flowing through me!"
After the pipe fell to the floor water immediately began shooting up like a fountain from the pump and at the same time water was cascading down to the basement floor from the drain pipe that exited the house through the basement wall. I say cascade, but it was more like a fire hose opened up from the wall shooting water on the basement floor Niagra-style.
I called the first three advertising plumbers I saw on Angie's List- not because they were offering a coupon but because I know they are only allowed to advertise if they are one of the best of the best in the first place.
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
was the third of my three calls and the first to respond after others gave me arrival times anywhere from 10-18 hours later.
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
was the individual who responded to my call. He said he lived just a few minutes away and would arrive directly, in about 15 minutes. True to his word, he showed up exactly 15 minutes later just as my indoor basement swimming pool was beginning to fill quite nicely and very rapidly.
There were a couple of significant roadblocks that
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
encountered along the way that required what I would refer to as on-the-fly-expert-plumbing-engineering but ultimately
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
did everything he said he would. He showed up when he said he would, he did all he could to remedy the situation, he answered questions, provided me insight as to what to expect over the next several hours, and provided me with assurance that not only would all be well but that if it wasn't he would ensure that whatever remaining problems there might be that he would fix those as well.
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
estimated that there was roughly 3200 gallons of water in my basement and that the water line in the worst spots was nearly 6 inches and that in others it was as low as 2 inches; yes, our low water line was 2 inches high 50 feet away from the sump pit. After
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
left at 2:30am, I went to bed only to wake at 8am that same morning. When I checked on the basement, all standing water was gone, the pump was operating properly, and the new piping and seal were holding just as expected. Sure, the floor is still soaked but thankfully our unfinished basement is used primarily for storage and our minimal losses are mitigated by this fact.
Needless to say, this was an emergency plumbing situation and
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
treated it as such going above and beyond every feasible notion of professionalism, urgency, and attention.

" The problems with my well began in
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
2013 when the well water began to have a strange odor. I decided to have the well water tested. The lab returned the bacteria test results and reported that the well was contaminated with E-coli. I called
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
Well and Pump and they responded immediately. The first thing
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
had to do was to locate the well. (I had purchased the house about a year previously, and the previous owners did not know the exact location of the well. All they knew was that it was near a corner of the house’s foundation and beneath the gravel driveway.)
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
brought in a small backhoe and the operator (
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
) scooped out the gravel, then piled it in a mound. He next carefully dug out the dirt until he located the wellhead. He placed the dirt in a mound separate from the gravel. He located the wellhead. They opened the well and pulled the interior pipe out of the well. They replaced the pipe and raised the wellhead above ground level so that it would not be as likely to be contaminated from ground contact. At this time, I had them replace the existing well pump, which was located in an exterior well house with a new pump which was submerged inside the well casing.
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
, the backhoe driver, replaced the dirt around the well then replace the gravel on top of the dirt so I didn’t have a mudhole in the driveway.
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
then chlorinated the well to
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
the E-coli. I was very, very pleased with their work. I recommend
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
without reservation. They know what they are doing. They communicated and explained what needed to be done so I understood and knew what to expect. I most definitely will use them again.

Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
came out to diagnose a problem with our back up sump pump system. The back up system had been beeping and figured it would be a
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
fix (replace back up battery, system reset, etc.). He came in and looked at our system for 5 minutes and immediately said our computer module was defective and we would need to replace the entire system and replace the main pump and back up pump. Total cost: $2,500 - $3,000 big ones.
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
did not give any other options or alternatives. Although a significantly steep cost,
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
wanted to do the work immediately. My wife asked him if it was his home, would he perform the work that he was suggesting and he said, "yes, it is a risk not to do the work but it's our basement." Stunned by the cost, we needed to think about it and possibly get another estimate. For that diagnosis: $89.
We called
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
's Plumbing Supply in Carmel to see how much parts would be to replace the system we had. The pumps
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
suggested we needed were less than 1/4 the cost he was charging.
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
's suggested we call
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
Plumbing. My wife called
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
and were told the system we had was a top of the line system and to not give it to anyone. She told us the computer more than likely only needed to be repaired ($100) or the battery needed to be replaced ($219). Furthermore, if the whole system needed to be replaced the cost would only be $1,300, a fraction of what
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
quoted us at ARS ($2,500-3,000). We scheduled an appointment for them to come out on Wednesday, November 13th and sure enough, there was nothing wrong with our system, just needed a new battery. Total cost for service call and replacement battery: $404.
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
was not honest and not only tried to over charge us but tried to replace equipment that was not defective or needed replacing, the oldest trick in the book. Shame on you
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
. Shame on YOU ARS if this is the kind of business practices you condone and promote. We will never be using them again and have already been spreading the word of our experience to our neighbors, family and friends.
One last thing, when paying for the dishonest diagnosis from
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
, I paid for the 'estimate' with our bank card. I gave him the card and he proceeded to write out my card numbers on his receipt, a clear violation. No one should EVER write down your credit card numbers on paper. I complained about it and he went out to his truck and properly ran the card on his machine. He was too lazy to go get his machine and perform the transaction legally and properly. Not cool.

"We were experiencing low water pressure. We had two plumbing companies look at our system. Both said that we needed a new pump and holding tank for a cost of anywhere from $5,000 to $6,000.
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
said that we just needed a stronger well pump and higher pressure gauge for half the cost. He was able to make the repairs the same day that he did the inspection. The work was completed on time and we now have great water pressure.

"We were so disappointed after having just moved into our house to end up with a wet basement. I called Augsta to see if improved drainage was a possible alternative to installing a new pricey waterproofing system. They were really great to work with.
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
came out to do the estimate and was really informative and patient with my questions. Really, one of the best experiences I have had with a service provider. They did the work in two days and we haven't had any leakage since (it's been 7 months).
My across the street neighbor ended up using him as well, and was also very pleased. Really, one of the best experiences I have had with a service provider.

"Very good. We were losing pressure on our pump. They diagnosed the problem & told us the problem & the cost. They we're prompt & professional. After the pump was replaced, he checked all our taps & toilets & replaced the aerators on our faucets. Great service.

Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
seemed extremely trustworthy to me when he was going over everything at my house. His colleague played the sales closer role and, though he repeatedly said they didn't do the hard sell, it felt like a hard sell to a great extent. He reviewed the work that
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
recommended and what each part would cost. I wish that
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
had been able to stay for the review of the proposal, because he seems to really be the expert on the work that is done, and the sales person wasn't as familiar with the product and solutions.

The recommended work came to a total of about $20,000; so at this point I am seeking an inspection from a structural engineer to get a professional opinion from somebody who does not have a stake in selling me the solutions. I explained this to
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
in a follow up conversation and he was very understanding and told me he thought this was a smart thing to do.

The one thing that I didn't care for during my experience was when
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
's colleague pulled out a card from a hail damage repair company for which he also worked. I thought this was inappropriate and unprofessional. I explained the situation to
Indianapolis Water Pump Services Provider Name Locked
in our follow up conversation, and he was very apologetic and said he would speak to his colleague about the situation.

Update post consultation with structural engineer:

I paid $350 for a consultation with a structural engineer. His assessment was that there was nothing structurally wrong with my house that would require the use of foundation piers (ARW was recommending 8 piers at $1,000 each). He said that none of the cracks that he observed both inside (diagonal cracks in the plaster at the corner of a couple of my doorways) and outside (stair step cracks in the mortar between the bricks on the back side of my house) were that serious and were just natural for a house built in 1948. ARW had also recommend some support brackets inside my basement for one of the walls that was bowing. The engineer did concur that there was some bowing but that it was slight and there was no need for the brackets. We discussed options for improving the drainage of water away from my house (putting covers over the wells on my basement windows, re-configuring the drain pipes connected to my gutter downspouts so that the piping goes straight out of the ground instead of turning up in a U shape that is currently very clogged, and possibly adding an awning over the stairwell leading to my back door that has a drain and could be a point of collecting water). He said that it might be wise to consider a sump pump set up if I wanted absolutely no water in my basement.

It's a bit bewildering to have two such differing opinions. But at this point I am not going to go with ARW. I have an appointment with another waterproofing company to discuss drainage solutions.
