On the day of our appointment, we received NO phone call to let us know
After 3 days of not hearing anything, I called the office back on Thursday asking if the part had come in and if we could reschedule our appointment. The man who answered had no idea about a part and went ahead and scheduled another appointment for Monday between 10-12. After NO phone call and NO one showing up, I called at 12:40. No one answered the office phone (nor does anyone ever answer it!). I called

The day of our appointment on Friday, I called at 8am and left a message (since no one ever answers) to confirm our appointment between 11-1. Of course, at 1:15 still NO one showed up! I called the office, and no one answered, so I called
However, it doesn't end. A week later, our water softener is leaking again and now it had leaked into the next room. Our guest bedroom floor is now soaked. I call our home warranty people back. I requested a new business; however, the representative told us they need to have the same business come back.. They called it an emergency claim and said if the business doesn't call back to schedule an appointment within 2 hours, that we could use a different company. Of course, no response after 2 hours, so we are now waiting for a new company to fix our water softener.
They were very professional in introducing themselves and then assessed the situation. He quickly obtained authorization from the home warranty company to replace far less pipe than the other contractor. They went to work (even neatly rearranging the boxes in my basement so they could better work) and were finished at around 11:00 am! They advised me to call the gas company about 20 minutes before they left so that I could get the person here to inspect the lines as soon as possible since the temperature in my house had dropped to around 50 degrees. They cleaned up and left the area very neat.
When the gas man arrived, he was impressed with the well done work and the fact that they used metal pipe. The work passed inspection and I now have a warm and cozy home again. The gas man asked the name of the company to share because he was pleased with the quality as well and the fact that they did not try to fix more than was broken.
I would definitely use FPP again because I feel they are trustworthy as well as highly skilled. The job was difficult because the pipes were so old and they were required to cut the old pipe out without causing fractures in the remainder of the old pipe. Their skill was important and they did it with confidence that none of the other contractors exhibited.
After waiting over six hours (and making three calls to them, beginning at noon on Saturday), was finally called by the service tech who stated he had never gotten my request for service.
He said he was not busy all through the afternoon, and would have been available if he had gotten the request for service when I initially made it at noon, but he now had several service requests.
So this is not a case of the tech being busy.
This is a case of the dispatch system having failed.
Frankly, in my business, if someone whose job it was to bring in income by taking requests for my services couldn't deliver those requests in a competent manner, they would find work elsewhere.
