Indianapolis Physical Rehabilitation Services Reviews

"I have been very pleased with Dr. Charbel's chiropractic services and treatment plan.

Dr. Charbel didn't simply "crack my back" or give me a list of exercises to do at home. He took the first visit to examine and diagnose my pain/health problems, listen to my issues, and form a plan for specific treatment. In the second and forthcoming visits, he demonstrated several exercises specific to my treatment plan, discussed with me when/how I would implement them in my daily routine, and made sure I understood how to do them correctly (in consecutive visits). While he does a great job realigning my back & neck, he goes beyond that in each visit by evaluating my progress, reviewing the treatment plan, gauging my body's improvement, ensuring I'm comfortable with the exercises, and working out ofthe muscle pain. During his consultations, Dr. Charbel is very professional, positive, and patient.

After having initially searched Angie's List for several weeks and read over dozens of chiropractors' listings, I kept coming back to Dr. Charbel's posts, particularly after viewing his website and noting his educated, progressive treatment style. I have appreciated his research and expertise. I strongly recommend him to anyone looking for a chiropractor who won't simply schedule you for your next appointment.
"Dr. Charbel had me do a few short stretches to loosen some chronic tension in my neck and shoulders. He then seemed to untie the knots of muscles in my back. The Dr. intuitively knew and pinpoint every area of pain and tightness and concentrated on those areas most with soft tissue therapy. It felt terrific to finally get those muscles to unbind. The Dr. then used chiropractic techniques which made me feel as loose as a teenager.

After my first visit, I felt 80% pain free. After the second, 99%. His treatment for my pain was nothing short of amazing. Since the initial 2 visits, I have had NO pain in my shoulders, neck, and back. It's been a month. My tension headaches have disappeared, I have a lot more energy and

, and I've noticed that my recovery time for work related soreness has shortened significantly. The Dr. also got rid of the sharp pain shooting from my elbows to the center of my hands.

Dr. Charbel has a true gift and genuine nature. I feel like he honestly wants to cure my conditions and not just patch it like other doctors I've been to.

I highly recommend him for any muscular and joint pain and neck injuries as I had.
"I was in pain. Increasingly sharp and debilitating pain. My left arm would be numb by the end of the day, and that might be the only relief from the constant throbbing

. I was anticipating surgery until I was directed to Dr.

He was able to diagnose and treat me with such care and attention that within five visits I was nearly pain free. After seven visits I felt like a kid again. I regained complete mobility without any pain or numbness. He used his thorough knowledge and experience along with a genuinely caring attitude. He combined massage and manipulation with acupuncture and rehabilitation exercises .

Six months after my course of treatment I am feeling great. The work that was done while in his care, and the work that I do following his directions and inspiration have made all the difference.

A few days after I began to see Dr.

he actually took the time to call me to find out how I was doing, if I was working on the exercises and if there was anything else he might do. His patience in expaining everything carefully was amazing. He cared enough to be concerned for my total health and well being, providing advice on practices to continue improving.

I could not have anticipated any better experience. I know, as in any profession, there are good doctors and not so good doctors. Dr.

is a great doctor.
"Do be specific about the pain you are experiencing-all of it. If you have a tingle in your foot and a spasm in your arm, let Dr.
Indianapolis Physical Rehabilitation Services Provider Name Locked
know. You'd be amazed at how well his recommendations work. I didn't realize that my headaches were actually caused by tension in my neck.

Do be patient. It may take several adjustments to get serious relief.

Do check with your insurance about chiropractic coverage. This is a confusing area. Some are willing to cover the massage as physical therapy, but others won't. Some carriers will cover more than the typical 12 per year if done in conjunction with the onsite physical therapy. Call ahead.

Do your homework. When

gives you stretches to do at home, do them. the physical therapy helps keep things in place and strengthen the weak areas so the adjustments last longer.

Do get a message before your adjustment. It loosens everything up and makes for a more effective adjustment.

Now is a good time to get started. You've probably met your deductibles for the year. Make use of the 12 (depending on your plan) appointments before the end of the year.
"All of my life my right ankle has turned out. Despite years of corrective shoes and orthotics, my ankle still twists and I end up on the ground with another bruised knee. After the last adjustment on my right orthotic, my orthopedist suggested Dr. Charbel. I was a little leery of going to a chiropractor for a foot problem I must admit. I imagined that I would just be plopped face down while the doc cracked my back until my insurance ran out. But I decided to give it a try any way. I was pleasantly surprised at my first visit. They were able to work my in the very same day. Dr. Charbel did a thorough evaluation, and by my next visit he had a treatment plan laid out for me! Each visit our work changes as the strength in my ankle builds. Dr. Charbel is friendly, polite and professional. He is always encouraging me and praising my progress. I don't walk out of the office feeling like something is wrong with you, but, instead, that I am a work in progress. He keeps me focused on my treatment by giving me "homework." I admit I enjoy my visits! I am near the end of my treatment, and I have noticed considerably how much my ankle has strengthened. I have gained more confidence in my ability to move freely. I have even broken some bad habits without any conscious effort. I am no stranger to physical therapists, but must admit, I've not had much luck with them. I've finally struck gold! My orthopedist told me he has heard from other patients how Dr. Charbel had changed their lives. Next time I see my orthopedist, I will tell him the same."
"friendly and helpful staff worked with me to regain function and reduce pain in my shoulder after an auto accident. Obtained an appointment immediately and started very quickly. Worked around my schedule to make sure I had several sessions per week. Instructed me on exercises I could do at home to continue therapy. Gave me the tools I need to maintain the gains and progress."
"My experience at this office was GREAT! The staff was always friendly, and I never had to wait longer than 5-10 minutes. The staff even started remembering my name, since I had to come back several times, which made me feel very comfortable. They were always very informative and accommodating, even when I would call and have questions. I would definitely choose this office in the future, if I needed to return for any orthopedic need. "
"He takes a very personalized interest. I don't believe it is just for me; I think he treats all of his patients that way. He knows what works and what doesn't work with pain management. I believe he works with other people with different diagnosis. He is my go-to guy on any physical problem I encounter. He can diagnose me the minute he walks through the door, from fractures to muscle spasms to anything that has gone wrong with me. He diagnosed a spinal fracture that other doctors missed. His office staff is outstanding. If I have to wait on him, I know he is giving personalized service to the person ahead of me and I appreciate that. His communication and effectiveness of treatment are outstanding and I recommend him to everybody."
"My 70-year old father required rehab services after shattering his femur in a fall. After surgery to repair the leg, we had to choose a rehab facility for him. We considered a nursing home closer to his home, but decided to try the RHI after hearing good comments from family/friends. This is also an acute rehab facility which means the patient will get up to 4 hours per day of intensive rehab. We understand most nursing home/rehab facilities only provide 2 hours per day. RHI is also licensed as a hospital so it's services are billed as such - they also have doctors on site/on-staff just as a hospital would. Nursing and physical therapy staff were tremendous. Dad was at RHI for less than 10 days and was able to go home with a walker/wheelchair to complete his rehab via out-patient care. I am convinced now that this was the best way to go for his care and he agrees as well. Hopefully we won't require services of RHI again, but if the situation arises where such rehab is needed, they will be the first place our family chooses."
"He specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation. I have a disease called RSD. It took many doctors and many years before this doctor finally gave me a diagnosis for the problem. He got me on the right medication. Anytime I have a problem, I go to him. He is consistent with his proper diagnosis. He is very personable and friendly. He listens to my individual needs. My insurance covers the cost."
