Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Reviews

"I needed both a HVAC and plumbing repair on my humidifier that is attached to my furnace. The humidifier was not shutting itself off and the water was running continuously into my humidifier. I tried to shut off the water up at the pipe, but I could not turn it off. The shut-off valve was starting to leak when I was trying to turn off the water and I got concerned that this might turn into a bigger problem if left unchecked overnight. Of course I noticed this problem after hours, but phoned
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
and got connected to the after hours emergency line and left a message. My call was returned within 20 mins. Service tech
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
was very personable on the phone and went over the whole problem with me. He diagnosed the problem immediately and even had a ballpark repair cost as he had recently had worked on a similar repair. He assured me that as long as the water was flowing down my floor drain, there was no need for me to have an after-hours call that would be very expensive with both a HVAC and plumbing repairman coming to the house.
I spoke to the office the next day to schedule a repair appointment and also asked for a diagnosis and estimate on fixing my low hot water pressure in all the faucets. That same morning, plumber
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
came out and replaced my shut-off valve within 30 mins. He was very thorough tracking down the water pressure issues in the home. He cleaned out the pipes attached to my water heater and found a problem in my shower/tub faucet and that was replaced. That helped the hot water pressure greatly, but I will also need to eventually get my old galvanized pipes replaced and I received an emailed estimate on that in one day's time.
HVAC tech
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
was also sent out that day to replace the cylinder valve thingy on the humidifier and replace the filter pad. His work was very swift and he had it up and running again in no time at all.
Overall, I was pleased with the prompt response, professionalism in all areas and general pleasant personality and attitude of the two service techs that I had in my home.

"At my request we had to reschedule once and this was no problem with the vendor, and then on the day of the new appointment the weather was bitterly cold and I communicated with the inspector that I couldn't send my furry children outside and if he could stand the barking and chaos then we could, as well. The inspector was a dog-lover, too, and made friends with our three dogs quickly on the porch before coming inside to work. All was well with the dogs and the stranger and I attribute this to his gentle and kind approach to the animals.

"Today I am reviewing
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
plumbing for work they did for me on two days in February 2014. The repair visits were 8 days apart. I called
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
due to their A rating on Angie’s List in pricing and cost. My first call was to diagnose a plumbing issue that was causing water to leak from my upstairs through the drywall in the ceiling. After some time, the plumber was able to diagnose the problem as a clogged drain pipe. The plumber attempted to clear the line with the tools in his truck but was unable to do so. After leaving my residence to get a different drain cleaning tool from the shop, he was apparently able to clear the line. The charge for the service performed was nearly $500. During the billing, I was incorrectly billed an additional $79, even though I specifically asked the plumber about the charge. Two weeks later, the $79 charge has yet to be refunded.
After paying the plumber, he did not clean up any of the mess he made around the house from removing my toilet or using a shop-vac to dry up some excess water that had leaked onto my carpet due to diagnosing the plumbing problem. Surprisingly, when I asked the plumber if he was going to shop-vac the leaked water, he told me he had a shop-vac but it didn’t work so he wouldn’t be able to clean up. He never even offered to clean up the mess he made in my bathroom.
One week later, the drain line from my house was backing up into the overflow drain in my garage. The overflowing drain caused 8 linear feet of carpeting in my house to become soaked. After calling
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
again, a subcontractor hired by
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
came to my home and discovered that there was still a clog in the drain line. While speaking with the gentleman doing the drain work, he told me the plumber who performed the initial drain cleaning probably just knocked the clog further down the line. The subcontractor was able to clear the drain line. The charge for this service was $325.
After asking
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
to review the second drain cleaning charge, I was told that since the original plumber and the subcontractor used different drain cleaning tools, both charges stand. You read that correctly. Even though the second plumbing call was for the exact same repair as the first plumbing call,
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
is charging me fully for both visits because the plumbers used different tools. I find this absolutely ridiculous. The original plumbing repair was to clear a drain line. Due to a lack of attention to detail, the drain line was not entirely cleared and resulted in a second call for the same problem a week later.
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
does not bill fairly and the plumbers they employ do not show the attention to detail that results in a job being completed properly the first time.
This is not a plumbing company I am going to use in the future and I do not recommend them to any other Angie’s List members.

"After they showed me, I believe they have fixed the problem, although it will take another winter like this one to really test it. They were very responsive to my calls and very professional. Other than this problem, the furnace has been very reliable.
Other than the first trip, they provided the labor and trips as part of the warranty. I was
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
pleased with that.

"The guys from
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
called ahead of time, showed up closer to the front end of their 2-hour window (beats the heck out of a 4-hour) and worked quickly and efficiently. They answered the few questions I had, paid particular attention to a potential trouble spot and put my mind at ease, and made sure I had the model number of a humidifier unit so I could swap out a filter myself. Added bonus: they were clearly comfortable with and affectionate towards our puppies who are fairly well behaved for their age, but extremely friendly and enthusiastic. I just got a great vibe off of these guys and would totally use them again. "

"Two fellows came and did their job cleaning the vent which goes under the house through the crawl space and out. They were professional, speedy, and efficient and I did not feel pressured into any other work or upgrade.

"When the weather was at its coldest (-15) our home furnace was blowing warmish air, not hot. I called
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
&
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
thinking I might get an appointment in the next few days but they got to us the same morning. The repair was minor -- a chimney condensation drain wasn't draining -- but it was enough to keep the furnace from functioning. I've used A&M for 15+ years and they've never let me down.

"Our sewage pump went out on the evening of 02/07 while doing laundry and it flooded our laundry room and nearby bathroom. After checking on Angie's List my husband called
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
on Saturday morning. They said a technician would be out Monday morning at 8:00. The technician was prompt, friendly and checked out the problem. He said our pump needed to be replaced which we already kind of knew since it was close to 25 years old. He gave us the option of installing a pump which he would supply which would cost close to $1200.00 or we could go out and purchase one and he would still install it. My husband chose to go out and he purchased one from a home improvement store, brought it home, and the technician installed it. We thought it was great the the technician gave us this option because it did save us some money. He also installed a quiet check valve on the pump which was very different from the old one because it was very loud. Together the installation and the pump cost us about $700.00. We would definitely call
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
for any other future problems.

"He came over at the beginning of the quoted time and seemed rushed but nice. Immediately he tightened the garbage disposal because I thought that was the issue. He did not inspect it further. Then he took off the faucet and saw that the o-ring inside had cracked and needed to be replaced. He said he didn't have the part so he had to go to the warehouse. Before he left, he asked what Big Deal I had purchased and what the details were. He took the faucet with him and left for 40 minutes or so.
It was a
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
o-ring- something that should be carried in a plumber's truck. When he came back he had already written up the receipt for what "services he had performed." He supposedly cleaned the screen on the front of the faucet and replaced the o-ring. All of that for $180? A
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
o-ring, "tightening the garbage disposal" and "cleaning the screen" on the front of the faucet. Yes, the faucet no longer leaks, but I feel taken advantage of.
I appreciate the promptness of the service call and the man was pleasant, but they charged me way too much, added services that I could not witness be performed and left my house "to go to a warehouse" for a basic faucet o-ring. Disappointed. We were going to have their electrical department come look at some electrical issues- but we will not be contacting this company again after the experience with our kitchen sink.
