From beginning to end, getting our a/c replaced with
was a great experience. All this thanks to
G, our super salesman! He explained things in an intelligent but easy to understand way, didn't try to sell me beyond what I asked for/needed, and followed up both on his own and when I had questions during the decision making process. The price and warranty were good, in-line with quotes from other reputable companies. The install happened quickly, and the installers were clean and professional. We had one major concern with the install, but it was dealt with quickly and therefore will be omitted.
G called while "out of town" (I suspect he was on vacation) to deal with my concern. He handled it quickly and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy, and we are! Overall great, and I truly believe
made all the difference!

Tech came out on the 1st of
to perform service call since AC was not working; discovered that previous homeowner (self-described "contractor") had installed an overlarge system and failed to install a filter, causing the 1 year old unit to seize. He recommended complete replacement due to installation concerns, and got us a $600 discount on a
unit installed the next day. Expensive, but not through any fault of
's. we've used them in the past and will continue to do so based on this experience.

I was told the first day 7/16, that an estimator would call me. 24 hours later I had no call and called back and was told they were all busy, given no timetable and hung up on. I subsequently sent them an email about this. They have a strong reputation and based on Angies List research I decided to call them but after this treatment would never use them.

Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
came out in Oct and assessed our home for everything necessary and advised us our house was a good fit for the geothermal system. After our heat pump went out in
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
. we decided to go for it. We signed paperwork in March. The winter and wet spring put them extremely behind for the drilling so we had to wait for about 9 weeks to get the project going. I might have marked them down for that, but it was completely understandable given the winter we had. Anyway, it took a few hours one day to go through the house and plan all the changes in the ductwork along with the new installation. So before the installation happened I had spent about 5 or 6 hours with
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
just planning the whole thing. The installation took 5 days if I remember right. They even came out on Saturday so they could get the job wrapped up before my parents came to visit. I had to leave town at the end of the job, but
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
had already charmed my Great
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
so I felt confident about them working back in my bedroom, where her favorite dog bed is. Beyond all the quality work they did on the which I had contracted for, they noted that a breaker in the breaker box was not the correct one and could be a fire hazard. They told me what to get and I picked it up at Lowe's for them to install that afternoon. Then when they got to the back of the house, they discovered a pipe that hadn't been installed correctly and had leaked about 1/2
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
of water into the crawl space. I wasn't happy with the job that plumber did in the first place and now I was really peeved. But
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
offered to go to Lowe's to get the parts to fix it - he said it was a
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
fix. I insisted on going to get the materials myself. They could easily have told me to go call a plumber, but were happy to fix it. Above and beyond. Really nice guys all around. You can't go wrong using this company.
In the end, we have moved from two hvac systems that never got the dining room or kitchen cool or warm, to one geothermal system that had the entire house cooler than ever before. The planning and installation was fantastic and we are so happy!

I called
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
to help me with a homeowner who needed a professional plumber to take a look at some work that a previous company had performed on her home. The homeowner is Chinese and speaks very little English. She had been taken advantage of and treated poorly by another company who had repaired her home initially.
I initially spoke with Barb, their customer service rep in the office. She was wonderful and understanding and very helpful in scheduling one of their best to meet me at the homeowner's residence. I also followed up with her and she was extremely compassionate and sweet and happy to help.
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
, the gentleman that showed up, was very polite, professional, compassionate, and patient. He was happy to help and give his professional opinion, even though the work wasn't guaranteed to go to his company. The language
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
was tough to overcome and he handled it beautifully.
I will call
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
in the future for ALL of my plumbing needs and to help service any of my clients!

We have used
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
’s company previously to install a
full new geo-thermal system which we are very pleased with. Last week we had
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
and Cooling come
out to do a Home Performance Assessment ($99).
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
and
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
did a detailed duct pressure testing, and they thoroughly
inspected our attic and our crawl space. They also used an infrared camera to
let us see through the walls to locate “hot spots” where we were losing
energy.
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
was very thorough about
explaining all the details of the testing process, analyzing the data and
educating us about various causes for our heat loss and possible solutions for
those problems. He proposed 3 possible things we could do including duct
sealing with Aeroseal, a crawl space encapsulation, and removal of our old
attic insulation to allow for the sealing of can lights and vents and then replacement
of insulation in the attic. After much
discussion and a night to “sleep on it”, we decided to first do the Duct
sealing.
The duct sealing is a very interesting and involved process!
I had watched some video clips on their
website and understood the process. They
completely blocked off all the vents and air returns in the house, hand sealed
any obvious leaking sites then pressurized the system and released the
Aeroseal to move throughout the system sealing
up any places that air was leaking in or out of the entire system. (Best analogy
is that this process is like using “seal
a flat” for your tires!) Their computer analysis showed that before we started
we had total air leakage equivalent to a
33 square inch hole and when we finished, we now have leakage equivalent to a 1
inch square hole!
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
and
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked

arrived this morning at 8:30 and did not leave until 4:30. They arrived on time, worked hard all day,
were courteous & professional, and cleaned up completely. We are very pleased with the work and we will
watch to see the differences we will experience in the house and with our electric
bills! We have also decided to get our crawl space encapsulated next week
because we have a ¾ basement that has a direct opening to our 400 square foot
crawl space. The dampness and air contaminants from that area need to be blocked
from entering the entire house. We will
update you later with how that process goes!!

This is interesting because I had TCS out to my house before and they were prompt, informative, well priced, and performed their services well. This Spring and Summer I have tried to call them to come service my A/C unit. My wife and I have tried to call them 7-8 times now to try to get someone to schedule an appointment. I have yet to be called back. Desperately needing servicing, I have moved on to another company.
So my ranking is a mix of when I was able to get them out to my house and this years experience.

Initial contact was prompt and scheduling was set on the date I wanted. Initial visit was positive and they quickly identified a couple issues with my AC unit. No estimate provide on initial visit. I had to contact them to get an estimate. Their estimate of $562 was more than I expected for the service and I was not confident that would resolve all issues. So I contacted a second service provider for a second opinion. I decided to go with another company to perform the service.

Service technician did not arrive on the date of scheduled appointment. No call from
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
to let me know a service technican was not coming to service my AC. I waited until midnight in hopes the service technican would arrive. I even called after the scheduled time frame and was told Yes a service technican would be at my home. The appointment was honored the next day only due to a cancellation of another service call.
2 Service call fee was 74.00 to inspect my AC unit. The 74.00 fee was supposed to be applied as a credit towards the purchase of a new system.
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
failed to apply the credit. Only after I questioned why the credit was not applied to my invoice was the credit applied back to my account.
3. Bait and Switch sales tactic.
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
Comfort Air sold me a new furnace, heat pump and new refrigerant lines. After installation began I was informed the refrigerant lines could not be replaced and the existing refrigerant lines would be cleaned out. When purchasing a new system other professional installers recommend new lines verses cleaning out the existing lines ans
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
sales consultant also recommended new refrigerant lines. My invoice was not adjusted due to the refrigerant lines not being replaced. This is a 1/2 day job to replace the refrigerant lines.
4. The contract said
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
would remove and recycle the old equitptment. Half of my old furnace was left in my garage. I had to call
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
and request they come back to remove the old equiptment.
5. Unresponssive Customer Service. I sent an Email to
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
Customer Advocate requesting a call to discuss my concerns. I was happy to see her testimonial on their web site read "She strongly believes that…“
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
is a company based on trust and customer service” which is why she is a client advocate first and foremost. “A company must do what it takes to earn a client’s trust” and
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
is willing to do just that. She has a passion for customer service and loves seeing the impact that a good client experience can have on an individual, a home and a business." I felt some comfort in her testimonial that she would quickly resolve my concerns. Unfortunatly
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
has not responded to emails requesting answers.

Hope your training session was successful. I trust
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
has kept you posted on my concerns?
Unfortunately, I have another failure to report. This make a total of 7 failures with my experience with
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
. I was expecting a follow up call from
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
to address my concerns. I have not received a follow up call from
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
.
Failure #1 and #2 addressed - service technician did not arrive on the date and time scheduled.
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
addressed this failure and apologized. Do you have a service level percentage of appointments cancelled that you can share with me? I would like to add that information to my posting/review/report for other potential customers.
Failure #3 addressed - A customer service representative failed to call me to let me know a service technician was not going to honor the appointment date even though I called to check if I was still on the schedule and was told yes. I stayed up until midnight waiting.
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
apologized the appointment was cancelled without notification. For the record, Is it customary to contact a customer if a service technician is not able to keep an appointment? What steps will you be taking to make sure customers are contacted when cancelling an appointment? Does
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
have a system that alerts a Customer service representative that an appointment is still pending when the scheduled time has elapsed? This information will be for my post/review/report.
Failure #4 addressed - I did not receive a credit of $74.00 on my invoice for the new furnace and heat pump as I was told I would receive.
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
said she would refund my account and I received a confirmation email on Tuesday that $74.00 had been credited to my account. Thank you for the credit. Can you tell me how
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
fails to pass on this type of credit? What process can
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
implement to make sure the customer receives this type of credit as promised?
Failure #5 addressed -
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
failed to remove a portion of my furnace when the job was completed.
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
arranged for a serviceperson to contact me and have the furnace part removed from my garage. The item was picked up on Wednesday. Can you share with me the steps
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
installers take to insure the job site is cleaned up and all equipment is removed to be recycled as promised? How was this step missed during my visit?
Failure #6 not addressed - New refrigerant lines were not installed.
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
suggested I replace the refrigerant lines verses cleaning them out. This would require a new line to be ran through my garage wall to the heat pump outside. I was very hesitant about doing this as it would require them to go through the side of my house.
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
assured me that it would be fine and they would hide the pipe with something like a gutter cover. I selected
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
because they were the only company that provided a quote for a new system with new refrigerant lines. The quotes I received from other companies had the lines being cleaned out verses new. The competitors said the refrigerant lines could not be replaced because of where they were originally placed. My research on refrigerant lines for a new system supported
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
’s recommendation to replace with new lines. The only reason I selected
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
was because they were going to replace the refrigerant lines. Had I known the lines were not going to be replaced I would have selected another company that quoted a higher seer rating and a better price. .
I trusted
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
’s professional integrity and experience to recommend the best total package for my home. Because I did not receive new refrigerant lines, I did not get the best system. Can you tell me if my Consultant is properly trained to recommend a system that is the best fit for a home and that the system he recommends can actually be installed by your employees? I also would like to know how many other customers were quoted a price to replace the refrigerant lines only to be told the refrigerant lines could not be installed because the sales Consultant failed to thoroughly inspect the location of the new system. Is this perhaps a bait and switch sales tactic to give
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
an upper hand on the competitor? Is it customary to begin installing a system prior to checking if everything can be installed?
Failure #7 -
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
has not followed up with me as she said she would. Did she keep you posted on my concerns and resolution? If so, did you find it acceptable that a follow up call had not been made after 4 days?I trusted
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
to recommend the best system for my home. When that didn't happened I trusted someone would take my concerns seriously and do what it takes to earn a customers trust.
I am requesting you call me on Monday at 10:00 a.m. if you are not available to contact me then I am requesting you ask the President of
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
to contact me. I am also requesting this email to be forwarded to The President of
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
for review.
Thank you,

Our air conditioner line froze and had ice chunks bursting out of the foam insulating cover. Another company that we have been pleased with came and did not manage to solve our problem. The line refroze. They could not make a return visit for 4 days and we had house guests, so we called
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
. They came the same day. The service man was pleasant and informative to deal with. Most importantly he was able to find the problem. On an earlier routine maintenance visit, the other company had reduced the fan speed by altering the setting in the computerized controls. This caused the line to freeze as not enough air was coming across. (Sorry I am not good on technical details) The problem has not returned.
We were very pleased in every way with
Indianapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
. Also their service contract for routine yearly equipment checks seems to cost much less than that of our former company, so we will be trying that as well.
