"I had some screening done and
was suppose to pay for all of it. They are calling the work I got done "diagnostic" but it is not. Now they are wanting" me to pay $1600 for the work I had done. The doctor that did the work even called the work he did to me "screening". I am not going to pay for this.

" See aboove- insurance company denies coverage 8 months after requested certification when needed treatment on emergent basis. State covered radiation "investigational"" even though has been commonly used for over a decade and is the best way to treat someone who is getting central radiation. It spares radiation damage to internal organs that are in path of radiation. I had had general radiation to chest 5 years prior and already had some damage to my lungs, This specialized form of radiation minimized exposure to my heart, lungs, bowel and bladder ( neded it in two areas). Many people had to endure the rest of their lives with damage due to radiaition ( colostomies for bowel or multiple er and hospital admisssion/ heart and
visits that could be prevented if had paid extra money to protect instead of hedging bet and figuring if die anyway won't have to cover later damage that runs into $100,000 plus). Should cover- other companies cover, they have covered in past, multiple studies to show benifit and accepted standard of practice. That aside they denied this 8 months later- taking 8 months to decide if will cover in "emergent situation" is unacceptable

Hi,

This is Leah B. in Member Services, happy to help!

I may need more clarification in order to accurately answer your question. It sounds like you may be trying to locate or review health insurance brokers or agents. You may also be referring to Navigators hired by state and federal government to help people choose an Affordable Care Act plan prior to the sign-up deadline of March 31. In any case, we do not have a category to rate ACA Navigators at this time. If you want to review or locate an insurance provider, a specialist would be happy to help at 888-944-5478, or memberservices@angieslist.com.

They told me that I had to go to the chiropractor six times before they would authorize the visits. I find that to be very inconvenient, and do not understand why I would have to accumulate six visits worth of bills before they will decide to pay. I think they should be called Disadvantage because of their unfair practices.

The prices have more than doubled since I started. With my $2000.00 deductible I pay almost all of my yearly health care costs. When I get old enough to actually need this insurance, I won't be able to afford it anymore. THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD CONTROL HEALTH CARE INSURANCE AND HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS OR PROVIDE FREE HEALTH CARE FOR EVERYONE. If you disagree, you must be one of the lucky ones who have access to affordable health care in this country.

I have been using Anthem medical insurance for a few years now. My service is provided through my employer. I haven't had any issues with the service they provide. I like being able to view my account online through their website to check the status of claims.

I verified all charges month by month throughout this account period. For 5 annual quarters covering 1999 and beyond, monthly statements reported that my account was charged for inhalation services not received. Each month I telephoned anthem to report the discrepancies. Each month I was assured that these charges would be removed from my account and would not recur. Yet each mo. The charges appeared anew. I telephoned, wrote, and went in personally monthly to have my account corrected. I was told repeatedly that my account had been corrected but I was never provided with a corrected statement of my charges. When I received no satisfaction from anthem, I reported this issue to the indiana dept of insurance. I reached the conclusion that the only way these fraudulent charges could be removed from my account was by severing relations with anthem. I assume that when I no longer had a account with anthem, this issue had to be resolved in some other way than by charging my account.
