I loved that the salesman did not pressure me to get the most expensive option available. He showed me a range of options and was very up front about how we could save money and still get a good quality product. We ended up going for an expensive adjustable mattress only because we could. The delivery was scheduled quickly and they were prompt.

NEVER has the term "caveat emptor" been more applicable than when dealing with
of Carmel! Let the buyer BEWARE. Please check ALL prices with other designers BEFORE ordering.
PRICE: Wallpaper that should have been priced at $140 a yard was INTENTIONALLY written for $190 a yard. A $1,284 overcharge (w/tax). Speaking of tax, they will attempt to charge you Sales tax on labor and shipping and handling! When I pointed the error out to Luxe, believing that 9 had mistakenly been written when a 4 was meant, I was informed that the higher price was the "Luxe" price, and I had signed the order form.
RESPONSIVENESS: The original designer we made an appointment with at their store actually "blew us off" with NO explanation. We were helped by the next up salesperson/designer. From the beginning Luxe was reluctant to put communications in writing.....preferring the telephone where little verification is offered.
PUNCTUALITY: Nothing was delivered within the stated time frame. Shipping and handling of $190 for a roll of wallpaper was for standard delivery. You would think at that price the shipment might be expedited a little.
PROFESSIONALISM: Error prone. Once Luxe gets their tenticles into your wallet--they don't let go. They are relentless and will nickel and dime you to death.
HONESTY: Although
was listed as the vendor on our order form we found out, on the day the wallpaper was delivered, "Luxe does not purchase directly through
." (A quote from
.) If Luxe had written the true vendor on the order form this whole problem could have been avoided.
We were bamboozled and failed to check with Angie's List before we ordered anything.....A BIG MISTAKE. I urge you to beware of the adversarial atmosphere that develops as the transaction progress and conclude.

The dresser is fine. Unfortunately, in the course of carrying the dresser to the room, the workmen seriously scratched our hardwood floor in several places. The most maddening part of the experience is that the lead workman, who was surely aware of the damage they had caused, asked me to sign a document saying that they did no harm.
The customer service people were very nice. They offered to refund the delivery fee, and pay the cost of repair. That puts us back to the position we were in before the scratches, but doesn't capture the inconvenience and annoyance this has caused us. Everything would have been much simpler if the workmen has simply pointed out the damage and said "don't worry, we'll take care of it," instead of hoping that no one would notice.

All was delivered. We had the dining table delivered first and then the leather and a table and another table/console. Then in early March the chair and ottoman and sectional was delivered. All was fine until
Indianapolis Designer Furniture Provider Name Locked
called from
Indianapolis Designer Furniture Provider Name Locked
saying that I still owed for the dining table that had been delivered in October. I had a receipt that in handwriting said "Paid in full". Why would they deliver something in October and then in April be asking for money. I paid for it and now they are calling me multiple times asking for over $1600. This is unacceptable. I have never bought furniture and had it delivered unless it is paid for, let alone wait until 5 months later and ask for the money. I will never deal with them agaIN.

The sales representative,
Indianapolis Designer Furniture Provider Name Locked
was very helpful. The in-store experience was over very great. However, since the purchase there were issues. When the pieces of furniture was delivered; the ottoman appeared to be warped. The delivery representatives refused to take the piece of furniture back. When I called them regarding this, they said would place an order for a replacement leg so it does not appear warped. The leg still has not been delivered. (it has been about 3 weeks) I called today to check on it and they said they were backlogged. They still won't replace my ottoman because they are on back order for those as well. Then, I tried to ask for some credit towards the overall price they said they would have to check with their supervisor. I feel like I am getting the run around and this is not fair to me.

It was time to buy a new bedroom suite and I didn't want to spend a TON of cash to do it. After searching for what I was looking for in the furniture stores of Indianapolis, I was fed up with not being able to see what I would spend before I went into the store. It finally dawned on me that
Indianapolis Designer Furniture Provider Name Locked
would be the perfect solution! So I went to their website and found exactly what I was searching for and I knew how much it was going to cost me! We drove the hour and half to Cincinnati from Indianapolis, which is WELL worth the drive for what we purchased. My old bedroom furniture was tired and well used, so was the mattress. I purchased the BRIMNES series: a bed frame with four drawers (black), a headboard with storage (black), two nightstands (white), two three drawer chests (black),a four drawer chest (white), a four drawer dresser (black), a queen

FIDJETUN foam mattress, the

LUROY slat set, and various decoration pieces. ALL of this was less than $2,000, including several incidental decoration pieces for the kitchen, living room, and dining room. It took almost the whole weekend to put it all together but for all that I got for the money I think it was a wise investment that will last for years to come!

We purchased a mattress, bed and dining table with chairs, the sales person and store, whom we have used before and even with the bad reviews had good service, however this time was different. The furniture purchase was smooth, no stress sales and
Indianapolis Designer Furniture Provider Name Locked
is knowledgeable, however the delivery was not on time but 1 1/2 hours and with no calls, I had to call them. 1/2 the bed is missing and no concern by the distribution center or effort was made, this was Wednesday night, on Thursday morning by 9:30 still no call from anyone, I call and they say we are working on it, by 11:30 still no call and again I call, still just working on it. The issue is why is the consumer the one following up, even if there is no resolution no news you NEVER let a consumer sit and boil, you call tell them that you are their first priority and that you are working on it, no call means you don't care. Finally have nasty

to corporate I got someone to do something for me. The issue is the actual thought I would still pay the delivery fee,
Indianapolis Designer Furniture Provider Name Locked
no, How do you put a consumer thru all of this and not offer them something? I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT IF YOU PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY YOU DO NOT EVER PAY FOR THE DELIVERY AND THAT YOU PICK IT UP YOURSELF!!!!! BETTER YET WE WILL NOT BE BACK TO SAY THE LEAST. At the end of the day all I wanted for them to do was come pick the furniture up and forget the whole thing and I will take my monies else where because they sure did not care about my business.

We did our rounds with the furniture stores in Indy and ultimately ordered from
Indianapolis Designer Furniture Provider Name Locked
in Castleton. WORST DECISION EVER!!! In short, it has taken more than 3 months to get our furniture, the quality was poor with crooked dresser knobs. I had to keep calling to get an update on when the furniture would be in - MULTIPLE TIMES. They never once called to say "Hey, giving you a courtesy call to let you know your furniture is back - no sense of courtesy or customer service after they got paid. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE. Purchasing was fine ,
Indianapolis Designer Furniture Provider Name Locked
provided a catalog for us to order a coffee table from since we didn't see a set we liked in store. She advised it could be several weeks before the order was ready. After more than a month I finally called them to get an update and they say "Well your dresser chest and night stands are in but the table is still back ordered." Well it would have been nice to know at least SOMETHING was in but no, I had to call to find out. So they set up delivery for the nightstands and dresser ($70 delivery fee). Several more weeks go by and nothing... I finally call again ask about the remainder of our order (coffee table, end table, and stool). "We show the stool was delivered with the night stands and the vendor's site is down so I don't know what's going on with your tables." COMPLETELY CLUELESS. The stool was never delivered to us but they showed it was, they were showing things were at the warehouse when they weren't. NO PROGRESS. Several more weeks go by and I call again. "Well the end table is in but the coffee table isn't" AGAIN THEY COULD HAVE LET ME KNOW SOMETHING IS IN, it's not like we have existing furniture we're replacing, we just bought the house and have nothing. We went to this box store thinking it wouldn't be THAT difficult to get decent furniture at a good price in a reasonable amount of time... WRONG. It's not like we're ordering custom handmade furniture here. So the end table gets delivered and someone comes to look at the knobs on the night stands. I lost track of what happened but essentially told them it had been so long that I don't even remember the stool and I don't want it anymore and after hoops and looping back with managers, they finally agreed to refund the stool at the sticker price, not the price we paid. Nice. This is now the end of May and I call
Indianapolis Designer Furniture Provider Name Locked
again about the coffee table - she doesn't know anything but says she'll call me back. I went out of town but today it's 6/15 and she never called me back - I called her, she says she'll call me back but no, I get a call from
Indianapolis Designer Furniture Provider Name Locked
in the warehouse. She informs me the truck they were supposed to get today from this manufacturer isn't coming but it will be here the end of next week. I AM EMBARRASSED FOR THIS BUSINESS. THEIR TRACKING AND ORGANIZATION IS TERRIBLE AS WELL AS THEIR COMMITMENT TO FOLLOWING UP WHEN THEIR SERVICE IS FAILING. I understand things come up and back orders happen but there was NEVER ONE INSTANCE of updates or communication from them. This is sad and very disappointing. 3 months after a $1350 furniture purchase and I'm still short a coffee table. In store,
Indianapolis Designer Furniture Provider Name Locked
was helpful and wonderful to work with. Everything after that point has been absolutely unacceptable and I will advise anyone looking for new furniture to avoid

I brought an antique library table, writing desk, chair and brass bed to
Indianapolis Designer Furniture Provider Name Locked
after these items failed to sell in my moving sale on Saturday. I had them priced from $250 to $400. I called
Indianapolis Designer Furniture Provider Name Locked
and asked if they would be interested in seeing them and the gentleman told me I could bring the pieces by for them to look at on Sunday, a drop off day for
Indianapolis Designer Furniture Provider Name Locked
. The same gentleman looked at the pieces, accepted the table, desk and chair. He said they could not take the bed because they already had one that they could not sell. I took the bed back with me.

We signed the contract for the three pieces which said
Indianapolis Designer Furniture Provider Name Locked
agreed to accept and sell them but he could not tell me what they would be priced at because their "antique person" was not in on Sunday. I said no problem and then spent $247 on a mirror.

On Monday morning the "antique person" called me and started off by saying how dare I bring this "garage sale leftover junk" into her store! I told her I paid $285 for the desk at an antique store and that many people like their antiques to be unrestored looking, original and charming. She said she might be able to sell the library table but the desk and chair where going in the trash unless I came back to get it! I let her know that I no longer had the U Haul truck that I used to bring the furniture to the store yesterday. I reminded her that her representative accepted the furniture and she became even more rude and abusive. I told her she was being incredibly rude and that this was an internal issue with her people and that they should be better trained on her standards. I then reminded her that I had a contract that said she would sell my furniture. Her response was she would sell it for $5.00!!!

I would like to remind
Indianapolis Designer Furniture Provider Name Locked
that I signed their contract in good faith that they would sell my furniture at a fair price and they are potentially in BREACH OF THEIR CONTRACT. FELLOW CONSIGNORS PLEASE BEWARE BEFORE YOU CONSIDER LEAVING ANYTHING AT

I recently purchased a bedroom set from Value City Furniture.(I made my final payment in December) Approximately two weeks ago, my bed frame completely collapsed under me while sleeping. The supportive features of the bed are made from a very cheap, non-durable layered wood that completely splintered apart from the bed frame. The vertical support beams broke off from the rest of the bed when the screws stripped out of this wood. My receipt said that if the parts couldn't be repaired, they would be replaced with comparable merchandise OR if unable to be replaced, an in-store credit would be provided. Since the bed was still under warranty, I called
Indianapolis Designer Furniture Provider Name Locked
Furniture for assistance in proceeding with replacement/repair of the damaged parts. After attempting twelve calls to the service department without success, I called into the main part of the store. The individual I spoke with was unable to provide a clear idea of what steps I needed to take, other than to bring my entire bed into the store, and said a manager was not available to speak with me. This individual told me I should call the service department, which I had been unsuccessfully trying to do all day. I do not own a truck, so tearing down an entire bed and trying to get it to the store for repair wasn't an easy task, and I wanted to know ahead of time exactly what was needed. That is when I decided to drive to the store and speak to someone in management exactly what I needed to bring in to the service department. A few days later, I brought in my damaged pieces of the bed to be viewed by a service technician, so that they knew that my bed was, in fact, damaged. This individual said that they had one of the vertical support beams available for replacement, but that the rest would have to be repaired in the shop. I was told that my particular bed was already discontinued(!!!!), and that new replacement pieces could not be provided or ordered. The next day I picked up my "repaired" parts and couldn't believe my eyes. The portion of the bed frame they took to repair was scratched and dented beyond repair, was covered in apoxy glue they used to put the pieces back together, and was told the remaining pieces couldn't be replaced because they didn't have any in stock. I went inside immediately and asked to speak to a manager. I have never met a more unprofessional manager or leader of a business. She looked messy, seemed genuinely annoyed that I was speaking to her, made little eye contact, and I was made to feel like an inconvenience. She first tried to blow me off by saying I needed to talk to the service department if I had issues. After I persisted, she went to check with the service department manager. I was told I could take my pieces back to them again, but that none of my pieces would be replaced or taken care of and that they had provided the necessary services. I will now quote her parting words. "You shouldn't jump on your bed." And that was it. She walked away and never said another word. I did go back to the service department and the individual I spoke with this time was much more respectful and professional, even apologetic, about the state of my bed. He was unable to help me either though, so I left the store with a damaged bed frame and not enough pieces to put my bed back together. I was given a poor quality product, and the warranty was not honored. I was refused an in-store credit, replacement or acceptable repair. I am out $1100 and they could not care less.

I will NEVER use
Indianapolis Designer Furniture Provider Name Locked
Furniture for my furniture needs in the future and will spread my message to everyone I know. This was unacceptable.
