"The workers arrived on time, completed work as ordered and explained care and maintenance of new granite top. There were no issues with entire process from initial" ordering, measuring and install; everyone was professional and helpful

-Margaret A.

"Outstanding. By this point in our addition project and kitchen remodel, we decided to start to get other options from what our contractor was providing. A friend" we knew recommended
and the owner were outstanding.
recommended a much lower priced granite we were looking at, that looked about 99% like the extremely expensive one we had selected. This saved almost 4,000 dollars on this project. Installation folks were good. The kitchen countertops look beautiful The process worked as I wish all construction business transactions should. We received good service, product was delivered on time, product was good quality, installed correctly, and we paid the vendor as promised.

Artificial (quartz) is cheaper, more uniform, has fewer voids to collect dirt, and is almost as abrasion and chip resistant.

Granite is more expensive, stains and collects dirt a little easier as a rule, and is slighly more chip resistant as a rule.

For durability, I would not rate one over the other - barring a 250 lb guy hopping up on it and cracking it, either is likely to outlive you. Selection is typically based on appearance - quartz tends to be more uniform looking and does not always do a good job of simulating the veining and variations that natural stone has.

Now some of the man made stone counters rival the real granite and othe stones without the maintainence of stone. There are many of them out there and it is more a choice of looks than anything else. Corian is still a strong choice of tops today and one advantage is it can be repaired when scratched on site. If you don't mind the maintainence you can't beat the looks of real stone though unless you need a few pieces to make up the top as the graining may be hard to match up. I am impressed though at how realistic some of the man made products have become. It is more an issue of what brand are available in your area. Most all are made the same way with crushed stone and basically an epoxy binder used to make the sheets.

, the owner of the company, came to the house and took measurements. He discussed every detail of the process with us. He also is a representative of a sink and faucet manufacturer but did not put any pressure on us to get those items through him. He gave us a quote on the granite only and a separate quote on a sink and faucet. He met us at a granite store and we picked out the actual granite slab that he would cut the counter top from. He was very helpful and gave us lots of good advice on what to look for in the stone. Because our kitchen walls and counter top were not truly square, he came out a second time to re-measure and make a template.

also had a plumber come out during the installation to do the sink pipes (included in the original estimate). We also purchased a new garbage disposal (from Lowes) which the plumber also installed. On a side note, the plumber was very good and I plan to call him soon for some plumbing work I need to have done. Anyway, the installation went well and we are very pleased with the results. We very much liked working with

. We recently gave his name to some friends of ours who are considering granite for their counter top.

The owner was reluctant to meet with us at 5:00 at our home. He was an hour late. We gave him the benefit of the doubt. He was very educated about the product and answered all the questions very well. That is part of the reason we picked him over other companies. We paid the typical advance to hold our install date, which was a month out. It was difficult to reach the owner via e-mail with any questions. We had difficulty getting the final proposal with our type of back splash and counter top. Once we received the proposal he did not follow up to see if it was correct. It looked correct to me but it had been sometime since he had been to our home and I'm not a contractor. That being said, the start day began with the counter top people not arriving on time. They proceeded to take out the counter tops and then right before they left they told me my new counter tops were not ready. So, now I have no counter tops or water.... The counter tops were put in the next day but not all of them were ready. The gentlemen that came to put in the back splash arrived and the owner as well. They reviewed the pattern

out. He was getting ready to start and they had the wrong stone and pattern. More delays. The owner had to come back. We went to try and figure out which pattern and product (it was incorrect on proposal) to put in and the owner and my husband were talking, it became very heated and the owner was very unprofessional. This was witnessed by several people including another contractor who was doing different work in the next room. Needless to say the product was put in but delayed. The worker's were late every morning. The owner's communication after you pay your advance is very poor. He never educated us on how the process would unfold. So after the many delays and miscommunications we were very frustrated. I am satisfied with the product but not thrilled. It was definitely not an exceptional experience. I will not recommend him.

Everything was well done and done with meticulous care. A year later, I had a small problem, and he came right out to address my concern. I can't say enough good things about them!

Contractor came to install new granite counter-tops in our kitchen. We had waited about 2 months to find just the right slabs so this was a very important project. The measurement, layout, and fabrication went fine and the granite we had selected looked great in the shop. During the installation phase the on site crew failed to notice that the cutout in the granite for the sink was incorrect until the counter-top was installed and glued in place. In order to correct the problem the countertop would require removing and taken back to the shop to correct the cutout. We were not home at the time when we got a phone call informing us of the situation. We were told that the counter-top would be corrected and they would be back mid afternoon to reinstall the top and the plumber would then be called to finish the sink install and connect all the plumbing with disposal and faucet.
When 6 pm rolled around and no counter-top we made a few calls and found out that the counter-top had been broken upon removal and was not repairable. Upon until that time we still believed that our counter-top installation would be complete
at day's end. No call explaining the situation. The company had located a replacement slab from the same lot in Columbus but it would be a week before it arrived in Indianapolis. Again news to us. To make matters worse we had to inform our contact that we had no plumbing in the kitchen and that would not be acceptable for more than a weeks time. Only then did they make arrangements for a plumber to install a temporary sink and faucet and hook up the dishwasher, etc. They completely dropped the ball. The plumber finished up the temporary install around 9pm that night. He did a great job!!!
The replacement top looked nice but to us it was not nearly as nice as the one we had originally picked out. But it is what it is.
The final install went as planned.

The owner came to home and took measurements of our space. Met the owner

We were given an installation date which was met to the minute. The owner

We purchased a new

was an absolute pleasure to work with. Initially, he provided the church with the most competitive quote. More importantly, he performed the work in a very professional manner and worked closely with us to resolve unforeseen issues that surfaced given the age and condition of the original marble on the alter.
