and his employees were very professional. They were extremely punctual and worked really hard. They painted the interior of our house and fixed our bathroom
before painting it too since we had work done to it that was not finished. Our base board in the living room was also bad and warping because of water damage.
cut and made a new baseboard and replaced the old, then painted it. Overall, I'm extremely happy with the work and will definitely use them again. I forgot to mention earlier that they also painted outside our house a couple years ago. His estimate is very competitive and I know we got a good deal because I got some from other companies just to see how the
rate was for all the work that we wanted done. He doesn't nickle and dime you, which I appreciated.

We initially heard about
through a home decorating blog. This girl, who does a lot of dyi, had repainted her kitchen cabinets from 70s beige wood to bright white, and had decided to leave the job of sanding and repainting to
. She showed before and after pictures and was very happy with the result. Seeing he was near us (although still quite far -
had to drive back and forth from Sugarland to Inwood every day for a week!), we decided to contact him. We had thought about replacing or just resurfacing/refinishing the cabinets because they looked disgusting (in a very sad looking foreclosure built in 1972). But, the costs we got from places like Home Depot, even Ikea, etc, were insane (in the 15,000 just for refinishing). I had read that wood used in 70s houses tended to be pretty good quality, as opposed to the manufactured board used in the 80s and onward. So, I took pictures and sent them to
, who gave an estimate, and also came over and looked at the house.
The estimate of course sold us, as it was much lower then anything else we had looked at - 3500 plus cost of paint. Keep in mind that we did offer to replace the cabinet doors ourselves once painted, with hinges purchased by us, as well as put our own pulls and knobs, also purchased by us. I kind of wish we had let them do that too, because that was time consuming!
and his helper clearly are very good at what they do, and they'll let you know that. They take pride in their work. They drove up to the house everyday and spent long hours very carefully sanding then spray painting the inside of the cabinets, after having protected all the counters and floors with paper. For an additional cost they also added and painted baseboards which we didn't have. They have a good eye for what needs to be done around the house and if you let them (and can afford to spend a lot) I am confident they can make your house look gorgeous! I had to reluctantly stop myself from giving them the green light when they tried to sell me on every room (which I don't blame them for, that's how they make money!), but realistically I didn't have the money to spend on what is really nonessential work while we still had to do drainage, roof, landscape etc.
I would highly recommend
, he is personable, and not only is a hardworker with an eye for detail but also has an eye for aesthetics, and thus can help guide your choices when you're not decided on what would look best in your place.

This project exceeded my expectations!
Houston Carpenters Provider Name Locked
's extensive knowledge, attention to detail, and ability to ask the right questions as well as thoroughly explain the process and design options is unsurpassed.
We started with a consultation and viewed pictures, ideas, and approximate dimensions of what I was looking for, a formal quote followed with a mock up of my piece as well as estimated time for delivery.
Once the project was under way I was invited to their facility to view the progress of my piece, I was very impressed with the open and consistent lines of communication throughout the project. The entire team was genuine, friendly and committed to providing a great experience and wonderful product.
Thank you
Houston Carpenters Provider Name Locked
and team for a great experience and for turning my concept and ideas into a piece we will love for many years to come!

My new staircase looks fabulous! I am super impressed with the quality of the work, and how clean and respectful
Houston Carpenters Provider Name Locked
and his crew were. They taped and covered everything. They even had a guy vacuuming behind the guy drilling the wood, like a dental assistant would. I was very impressed. I sent
Houston Carpenters Provider Name Locked
a picture of what I wanted my stairs to look like, and he matched it perfectly. He also sent a very detailed and itemized estimate. There were no additional costs for anything, and he even did more than was quoted to make the job look right. I was a little confused when I got emails and calls from
Houston Carpenters Provider Name Locked
(the salesman who came to get information for the estimate) and

, and from more than one email account/business name. But it all worked out in the end. I love my new staircase.

we purchased angle's deal of the day from Turnkey. I paid extra for them to pick up all supplies needed which was totally worth it. They even took a piece of the wood to match the current paint color of our house and it matched perfectly! They showed up on time and completed the work in the time that they estimated. I am very pleased and will use them again in the future for part 2 of our project.

1) It's been only few months after installation when the first drawer broke. Now, less than a year after the installation, 13 out of 31 drawers don't work - they slam and/or don't self-close. When we looked into that, we realized that instead of installing high-end BluMotion by
Houston Carpenters Provider Name Locked
soft and self closing drawer slides as per our contract,
Houston Carpenters Provider Name Locked
installed some cr**ppy slides made by Ferari. We forgave him for a lot of other things (more details below), but substituting $27 parts with some $4 crap is is low. And all for what? A few hundred dollars of cost savings
Houston Carpenters Provider Name Locked
got out of it?
2) The kitchen island was supposed to be espresso stained wood. We carefully chose the color from the variety of stained samples
Houston Carpenters Provider Name Locked
has provided us with. Using the sample, we chose the hardwood floors and the granite counter.
Houston Carpenters Provider Name Locked
brought in and installed painted cabinets instead, and the brown paint he got is not even close to the stain color we have chosen. It does not match either the floors or the countertop. Plus, the paint job was horrendous: he tried to fix it (using the roller) but only made things worse.
Houston Carpenters Provider Name Locked
ended up disappearing on us, abandoning the project. Since he left, the paint continues to chip. I still don't understand what he was thinking. Did he seriously expect us not to notice that cabinets are painted when they were supposed to be stained??
3) When wiring for under-cabinet lights, he connected two wires (not even with a wire nut) and left them hanging in the wall. He was about to patch the opening in the drywall when we caught him. This is incredibly dangerous - leaving wires in the wall without a junction box. Not to mention that you have to have access to all the points of connection, so you can't just close up the wall and hang a cabinet over it.

. I could not believe he was going to leave the wires in the wall just like that!!
4) When connecting the dishwasher hose to the garbage disposal,
Houston Carpenters Provider Name Locked
did not raise middle part of it above the level of connection connection point. So now water from the sink with garbage and food pieces flows towards the dishwasher, and it stinks. You are supposed to raise and attached middle of the hose to the top of sink cabinet to prevent this back flow. Unfortunately,
Houston Carpenters Provider Name Locked
did not even leave enough hose for us to correct the problem - he cut it short, just enough to go straight, without the needed zigzag.
5) The fabrication of the cabinets was supposed to take 4 weeks, the installation was supposed to take 3 days. Instead, it took 4 months start to finish. Admittedly,
Houston Carpenters Provider Name Locked
has plausible reasons for the delay: death in the family first, then
Houston Carpenters Provider Name Locked
himself got very sick. We were understanding and to speed things up we hired an electrician to do some work
Houston Carpenters Provider Name Locked
was supposed to do as per contract (we didn't trust him anyway after the wire in the wall situation), and plumbers where needed.
Houston Carpenters Provider Name Locked
managed the best he could - he installed kitchen in parts over the period of two months, so the were able to partially use it.
We were pretty upset with the painted cabinets instead of stained, but we went along with it, letting him to fix the chipping and running paint, instead of making him make us new cabinets and stain them. We were not happy that the whole thing took months instead of promised weeks, but we accepted it. But when the drawers started falling apart and we found out that he substituted
Houston Carpenters Provider Name Locked
drawer slides we paid for with this cr**p, we could not get over it. This is pure fraud and there is no excuse for it.

and his team were very professional from beginning of the project to end. They took ample time to prepare the site to avoid any damage to all my personal belongings and left the house clean at the completion of the project. All bathrooms were a complete tear down to the studs and reconstructed in the same space. I have to say that both my kitchen and bathrooms turned out amazing. Master has a new large walk in shower, cabinets that looks like new (they refaced and re-construct on site), and some new built ins for storage in our laundry room. All in all, a tremendous job. The project was on schedule and on budget. I strongly recommend
Houston Carpenters Provider Name Locked
for any job from painting to a complete remodel of any room. They are very committed, detail oriented, and they offer their ideas to make a successful project. Needless to say their craftsmanship is top of the line. Another advantage is that they can take care of basic plumbing and electrical tasks like installations of new fixtures.

I had
Houston Carpenters Provider Name Locked
over originally to provide a quote for repairing my cabinets (improper finish had caused 1 year old custom-built cabinet doors to disintegrate when they came into any contact with water in our kitchen and bathroom. They were installed by Dreammakers - not
Houston Carpenters Provider Name Locked
). We decided to have the repairs done later but in the meantime, we commissioned him to build a 7 foot bamboo console table to go behind our couch. We wanted it to match our bamboo TV stand.
Houston Carpenters Provider Name Locked
delivered the table yesterday...it is beautiful. Very well-made and matches the TV stand well.
I gave
Houston Carpenters Provider Name Locked
the dimensions and the style I wanted. He added beautiful design elements to the table, keeping us involved in the decision-making and allowing us to see samples of the wood and color along the way.
We're very pleased with the table and look forward to working with him on other projects.

After 18 months of looking for a contractor we finally went with
Houston Carpenters Provider Name Locked
. Reason being, we were literally able to "put" our hands on some of his previous work. Instead of just giving recommendations, he provided places to go! His prices were competitive, not to low, not to high. His contract was an easy read, protecting both parties. His payment terms were more than acceptable, wanting 50% / 25% / 25%, with the last 25% help until AFTER the punch list was finished. Did I mention he accepts credit cards as well? On starting the project his guys put protective paper on my living room wood floors, plastic over the bedroom carpets and plastic drapes over the doors, all to help protect from the demo. When doing the demo, they took very special care of the other flooring and did not run wheel
Houston Carpenters Provider Name Locked
through the house, potentially hitting furniture and door jambs. We were so pleased with the bathroom that while here we had him do the woodwork and built ins in the master closet. I would recommend him!
