"My friend went to see Dr.

for his complicated injury and his experience was remarkable. After a really bad fall, my friend
Houston Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
knew that his elbow was in serious trouble. It was unstable and very painful. We had it confirmed in the ER that his elbow was not only dislocated but severely broken. We researched and got recommendations for orthopedic doctors. Dr.
Houston Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
was at the top of the list.
Houston Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
went to see him, and after an MRI, Dr.
Houston Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
told us that it was an extremely complex break. The coronoid and ligaments (on both sides) were torn in several places. I need to mention that Dr.
Houston Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
’s staff was excellent help – they had

scheduled for surgery within a few days and gave very clear instructions. There was no guesswork. The surgery went well and the elbow required several plates and screws. Afterwards, Dr.

explained the severity of the injury and that

needed aggressive physical therapy.
Houston Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
followed the post surgery instructions to the letter and today; he has one thin scar and full use of his arm. His occupation requires lots of precise hand-to-eye coordination and
Houston Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
is able to do his job just as effective before the surgery. We would highly recommend Dr.

to family and friends.

"Dr. Nolla was referred to me by a former patient of his, after another dr. had botched surgery on my left ring finger (which is pretty important for a woman). The finger was bent at the middle joint and would not extend at all. Dr.
Houston Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
took x-rays and measurements, asked a number of questions, and gave me several options. He said he wanted me to come back in a month, because he wanted to give some thought to the best way to correct it. When I came back, he decided that surgery was the best option. He told me that my finger would probably not be completely straight after the surgery, and that the joint would be a little swollen (which is exactly what happened) The clinic worked with me to get the most convenient date. I had to stay awake during the surgery, so that he could ask me to straighten my finger, after he removed all the scar tissue. During the surgery, a nurse came in and told him another doctor wanted to trade with him for an on-call date, and he replied sternly, "I am working." I appreciated his unwillingness to let anyone distract his attention from his surgery. Also, just as he was about to close, my finger turned white, an indication of a possible blood clot, and I heard him treat it as a dire emergency. Two unpleasant things: the nurse forgot to update, or give my husband any information about how the surgery was going. Because of the extra time due to the possible blood clot, it was late and the office closed and my husband was left in the waiting room without any info about me....and getting very concerned. Also, when they flushed my finger to get rid of the clot, it flushed out all the anesthetic. They gave me a prescription for pain relief, but the anesthetic being flushed out was a predictable outcome. They should have known that and given me pain relief before I left. I was in a great deal of pain by the time I got to the drug store. Nevertheless, I have high regard for Dr. Nolla and for

"There was a bit of a wait for my appt but since they squeezed me in due to urgency, I really can't complain. Dr.
Houston Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
was very capable and super bright, answered all my questions and gave clear instructions for treatment. They also gave me written instructions for home care/exercises which is really good because sometimes it's hard to remember everthing you're supposed to do. He has a caring chairside manner and was easy to communicate with. He gave me references for follow up pain management care as I seem to have nerve issues from the trauma. The staff made follow up appts as I was leaving, and cleared up an over-billing iproblem on the spot. I would definitely reccommend Dr.
Houston Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
to anyone with a serious orthopedic injury.

"I would recommend him. He’s just very professional and he has helped me through some orthopedic issues very well. I will go back to him. He’s just very professional. I’ve had no issues there. He’s a great doctor and I will use him again in the future."

"He is effective. He communicates well. He takes his time. He doesn't waste time. He has a great manner. He answers all of my questions. They are very busy during the day that if you don't get the first appointment in the morning, you will have to wait."

"He is really good. We went to him a couple of times in January. He is very competent and knowledgeable. The office staff is very professional. They just disclose anything. They

’t take all insurances and that would just be the one thing someone would need to clarify whether or not their insurance is on it. We would rate him highly and would use him again in the future if necessary."

"He's great and I like him. My daughter didn't break her foot; she's just clumsy and she sprained it really bad. I have recommended him. The only thing I didn't like was that he told me that I had to wear granny shoes and couldn't wear heels for a year. I love him and he is funny. He takes a lot of time with his patients and he explains everything. He is calm. He is an older guy and the older doctors don't rely as much on tests as they do their assessment skills. He is truly a well-trained doctor. I've been seeing him since May because my orthopedic surgeon moved out of town. The outcome of his treatment has been perfect. I've had no problem with the billing. I am now using one of the other people in his office and they are all good."

"Both surgeries took place at Southeast Memorial
Houston Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
(SEM) without incident. I had a very positive experience at SEM on their Orthopedic wing. The nurses there are remarkable - and believe me, I am not an easy patient to please. Dr.
Houston Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
checked in on me daily and I believe I was released within 3 or 4 days for both surgeries. I was out of bed the first day with Physical Therapy using a walker. I also need to commend the Physical Therapist on the Ortho wing. They are knowledgeable, encouraging, but maybe a little too perky for me. At least they were a little perky for someone who just had surgery. Dr.
Houston Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
's office made arrangements for me to receive a CPM machine after my knee surgery which I used daily until I started out patient therapy at SEM. Again, great successes there.

What I remember most after my surgeries with Dr.
Houston Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
was the lack of pain. It was immediate. I can remember waking up in the middle of the night thinking, "I'm not hurting".

Dr.
Houston Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
did an excellent job with both of my incisions - I don't look like a monster. And he was excellent at controlling my pain, which is to be expected after surgery of any kind. He discharged me with pain meds, and even though I had no refills available to me, all it took was a call to his office for him to authorize another refill.

The last thing I need to say is to complement his staff. They deal with grumpy people all day (a lot of these people are in real pain) but not once did I enter his office without a warm greeting from all the staff members. They were kind, caring, and considerate.

So, would I recommend Dr.
Houston Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
? I would not allow anyone else to ever work on me when it came to Orthopedics. I had always been what I considered a "medical center snob". Well, Dr.
Houston Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
proved me wrong, at least when it comes to his specialty.

"Dr.
Houston Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
agreed that pain medication was in order for me. Thanks be to God that he did or I would be curled in the fetal position crying in extreme pain.I hope that all tests came out within normal limits so that surgery can be done and I can return to my life before severe hip dysplasia."

"After seeing another top rated orthopedist who provided no diagnosis, Dr
Houston Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
called me with an accurate diagnosis the evening of my first visit after receiving test results. The diagnosis required immediate treatment, and he scheduled surgery for the following morning. His intuitive diagnosis and prompt treatment saved my shoulder from further damage due to a septic infection. I have found him very knowledgable and caring. He explains medical information in a way that is easy to understand. His staff is also very caring. He treated my shoulder surgically and my carpal tunnel problems medically. I will choose him should my hands require carpal tunnel release in the future."
