Marble And Granite Reviews in Houston

Work was fairly well done. However, EASILY the worst customer service I've experienced. When I visited the store they told me what I needed was in stock. They came out and measured then later gave me the estimate, I agreed and paid. Then later they called and said estimate was wrong then tacked on another $600.00. Again, I said fine and paid the extra. Then 2 days later I was told they did NOT have my product in stock, and pushed me back another full week. This screwed up my entire project and really messed things up for my contractor.
Very unconcerned for customers needs.
They don't return phone calls...they just don't seem to care at all.

First off I should say that I used
in April of 2013 for installation of granite in the master and guest bathrooms. This work went very well and was one of the reasons for using the company this time, but saying that, I was very dissatisfied with the work done recently. After talking to
about the job he was very quick getting someone to do the work. We met on a Friday and he had someone there the next Monday to start work. The problems started with the ceiling. We said that we wanted the repair to match the popcorn texture that was already there, but when the ceiling was textured it did not match. The worker argued, saying that it did match. I had to talk to
to get the worker to texture the ceiling correctly. The same thing happened with the walls and finally after talking with the worker decided to finish it myself. The next thing was the linen cabinet. To get the cabinet to fit, the back end of it had to be cut off and reassembled. This was done , but was left unfinished. I had to bring it to the attention of the worker and
to get it finished properly. The outside trim of the closet was not even and there were a number of nail holes left exposed. Again these would not have been fixed if I would not have complained. Another problem was with the door that was made and installed. The door itself looked good, but the inside woodwork that it attached to had gouges in it. Again the worker argued with me about fixing it and it was up to
to get him to do it.Later after I thought the work was complete I talked to
about the workmanship on the job and he told me that he was sorry and that he had fired the contractor, but later I found that the linen closet was missing the holes needed to adjust the shelves and asked
to send someone out to fix the problem. When the person showed up to make the repair, it was the man who
had supposedly fired.
is very personable and I believe that he will do what ever it takes to satisfy the customer, but a customer should not have to be the general contractor for the job.

Marble And Granite reviews in Houston

After our house was completed I was told by
Houston Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
that there was half a slab of granite left over and that he would store it for use in my garage apartment. 3 months later when I called he refused to give me any granite, stating that there was none left.

used my expensive granite for someone else and gave me the cheap granite and on top of it wanted to charge me for it.

We have a major issue in our master bath and is why we called them out. They were honest and let us know that we needed major repairs prior to his services and even gave a referral. So we used his service for the upstairs bathrooms. They were great with schedule, did good work, and made sure we were pleased. We will use their services again in the furture.

A few days before we were scheduled to move into our new home, we discovered that none of the natural stone surfaces had been sealed. We knew it was important to have the floors sealed and protected before movers began to bring our belongings into the home, and also have the showers and countertops sealed before we settled in. The entire first floor has travertine floors, travertine walk-in master shower, granite countertops, and slate backsplash. All bathrooms on the second floor have travertine floors and tub enclosures. We were a bit panicked at trying to find a company who could do the job on such short notice.

was professional and reassuring on the phone when I called to explain our dilemma. He met us at the home, quickly and quietly determined how much sealant would be needed, then invited us to his office to see a demonstration of how the product worked. He explained about the different types of sealants, how they worked, the costs, and durability of each. We were able to make a very informed decision based on his thorough information. The product we chose had to be ordered from Australia, and we were a little fearful that it might not be shipped in time. Once the sealant is applied, it requires a dry time of about 8 hours.

reassured us that he would get the job done. The product arrived in the nick of time,

and his crew started the labor intensive job around 5:30pm, finished around 10pm, and the movers started bringing in our things around noon the next day! We were speechless and beyond grateful that
Houston Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
did exactly what he said--he got the job done, and done with extreme care and quality. He came over a few days later to personally follow-up. He told us how to maintain all of the surfaces, and to call him if we ever had any questions. We couldn't be more pleased with the entire process and with

The carpet and the tile were installed well and without incident.
The hardwood was installed on the stairs and I didn't like the stair noses that came with the floor I chose.
Houston Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
custom made and color matched new stair noses at no extra cost.
The marble countertops were damaged on installation and they were also replaced at no extra cost.
I am not an easy customer but would use

was prompt and responsive originally to the contract. There were several inadequately finished sections of the contract, particularly the tile work. Some of the painting was not smooth, it obviously had dirt in the paint and Mr.

acknowledged that. I did not ask for it to be redone because it would be a nightmare to redo. The tile work was supposed to be in the master shower. However, he on his own decided to do something in the other bathroom shower, which I had not asked for. He came back to do the redo on the tiles, and he is not a tile person. Neither was the person that originally did it, in my opinion. He messed up the floor of the shower so bad that I spent two days scraping it and then redoing it myself. The wrong color grout was used and then when he came back to fix it he used a caulk that is now pealing away. The caulk he used was inappropriate, he should have used grout. This also occurred in the second bathroom that I did not even want him to touch. It was fine and now it is all messed up. A lot of the other things on the job were good. The bathroom situation was just very frustrating. I still do not have the situation resolved but I do not feel comfortable using him to fix it because I do not think he can.

When shopping around, AIS was very competitive on price, but more importantly, very responsive and easy to work with (provided an initial quote via phone and email which saved me a lot of time). We met to look at different stones, and he showed me options for backsplashes. From there, the rest of the process went smoothly. We scheduled everything, the crew was on time, and everything was finished in 2 days. No issues, and the results are great. I'd recommend.

Installed a 44" x 88" calacatta marble slab in my kitchen island. JT is very kind and promt to respond. He took us to two granite/marble yards to select the slab. He was always able to accomodate our hectic schedule. The quote was higher than expected, but JT mentioned the marble slab was expensive, although he didn't give details of the materials cost.
We are very happy with the job done!
