"I've used them a couple of times. I have no complaints about them. They did a great job. I don't think there's too many companies like that. You probably" don't have many choices. But they did a good job and they were nice to deal with. They sell a lot of fur coats, jackets and other fur items. It's a retail store.

-Sybille C.

"I walked in and was not even acknowledge for a minute or two. Two men working, each is showing coats to potential buyers who were browsing and no hurry - a retired" couple and an older woman with her adult daughter. Finally the one man said, "someone will be with you in a minute." But that is never true there. They ignore you and make you wait forever. The young guy in the retro/weird suit has always been cold and haughty to me and was so incredibly rude to me that I asked him, "do you think you are being nice to me?" and asked him until he answered. He said "I just got your coat for you
'am." "Yes, but do you think you have been nice to me?" "I have not been rude." That last was a lie. I asked him to please get my coat as I'd called ahead for it and was rushing to an appointment. The women he was with were not in any hurry and seemed to enjoy talking to each other as they looked at the coats while he was gone. I thanked the guy profusely for getting my coat and he said nothing. I said, "You know this was
's error" - they forgot the one sleeve and cost me an extra round trip and now he's treating me this way? He said nothing. I started to take my coat and leave since it was no charge and I was late and he sharply says, "I can't allow you to leave until you sign a receipt" like he's scolding me! That's when I started asking him if he though he had been nice to me. I guess I'll have to drive to
or whatever because I have spent a LOT OF MONEY with these people and they keep hiring people that don't have any personality, social skills, people skills or basic niceness. HOW DOES A RETAIL STORE STAY IN BUSINESS WHEN THEY GIVE ZERO CUSTOMER CARE?

Furrier reviews in Houston

Took in old fur coat from a great aunt after having in the closet for a few years. Thought it was
Houston Furriers Provider Name Locked
, turned out to be opposum - who would know:) They were straightforward, honest to say not in the best after 40+ years so probably not worth the cost to restyle to something more modern cut. They said to wear & enjoy. They cleaned and glazed (I think that's the term) so it looks much better. I also took in a fur stole and a leather coat with fur lining. They showed me some options that I could make the stole into a vest if I wanted. Also, honest that the leather wasn't in that good of condition and that the lining was rabbit. Liked that they didn't push buying something new and seemed to enjoy helping. Definately would go back and look for a special treat in the future. Very nice, family company.

has stored my fur coat fo rthe past few years and Ii will never use them again. Last year, they sent me the wrong coat. This year, even though I called to get my coat out of storage 3 weeks ago, my coat has not been delivered. I wear it very rarely - really only in Christmas Eve, which is today. The coat was a gift from my husband when we were first married. The coat was supposed to be delivered on December 18 and it wasn't. The owner promised I would have the coat today, December 24 and it is not available until December 26!

I was very pleased with the
Houston Furriers Provider Name Locked
. At dropoff the process was explained and a timeframe was set. The cost was very reasonable. Two days later they called to discuss a potential problem of the coat discoloring during the cleaning process. They called when the coat was completed and it looks like new! The discoloration was not noticable and the coat looks completely natural. The spots are completely gone. The entire experience was very good and exceeded expectations.

They had a seamstress complete the job, which resulted in substandard work. The shoulder pads are crooked, the hem at the bottom the of jacket is not straight, the jacket is much too large, and the lining of the sleeves is larger than the sleeves themselves. Very poor work! I have been back in touch with them since. I was called for another fitting and told them of my concerns. I picked it up again and brought it home and it was much larger and had many other defects. I then phoned them to request a full refund so I may take my business elsewhere. Their only resolution was fix it again themselves. I cannot trust them with my coat again. There only excuse was that the girl must have been in a hurry. I do not feel they are qualified to handle this job. I told them they had lost a customer and they didn't seem to care.

Every time they come, the post goes back to leaning a few months later. It is obviously poor construction, and I am not interested in having them back to try and fix it again. There is a second post that has started to tip also.

This is a specialty dry cleaners, they do fur, leather, draperies and Oriental rugs. They are very knowledgeable, kind and polite. Will answer any of your questions.

The experience of dealing with
Houston Furriers Provider Name Locked
is very positive. Even though they pick up or deliver your furs, I enjoy going to the showroom. Then I can visit with the staff (who always
Houston Furriers Provider Name Locked
me by name when I walk through the door) and look at their selection of coats in the showroom while I wait. It is such a nice change from the experience you get shopping in most stores today, where you have to look for a
Houston Furriers Provider Name Locked
to help you and, the clerks really don't seem to care about helping you once you find one. These people could teach classes in how to give good customer service.

The person at the store told me I could bring it by and since I didn't need a written appraisal, she would look at it for free. She really knows her furs, that's for sure. She told me what kind it was and looked it over for damage. She also gave me a price to clean and glaze it.
