"They were very responsive and punctual, polite and courteous. They did an assessment and said I needed 500.00 worth of insulation. I only had them blow in the amount that the special allowed which was a good deal. The only reason I gave them a B was ...more because their hose was not long enough to reach the end of my attic where I wanted the insulation blown in. They tried several different ways but just needed a longer hose. I did not have the insulation blown in where I really needed it because of the hose issue. "

"He did the kitchen and bathroom perfectly. The shower did not hold up. When I called to complain, the owner came over immediately and redid the shower. It now looks wonderful and is maintaining.

ServicesAfter doing an online
for someone to install my kitchen
backsplash, my mother, who was assisting me in locating a company,
...more . They had good reviews on their website and
the pictures and job descriptions seemed to indicate that they were
experienced in this type of work. My mother called and talked to
******** about the details of the job. My mother asked her to have
*****, the person who would actually be doing the work to call her, so
that she could determine whether or not he was experienced in installing
backsplashes. He didnt call back, so my mother called ******** and she
gave him *****s cell phone number. My mother called ***** and came to
the conclusion that he did seem to know how to properly install a
backsplash. ***** came to install my kitchen backsplash tile at 12:00
pm on 01/12/2014. He worked alone, and after a 9-hour project, both
***** and myself, as well as my father who was present, all agreed that
the job was incomplete. There were rows and rows of slanted, uneven
tile, and the grout needed to be completely re-done.Because it was
10:00 pm on a Sunday, we went ahead and paid ***** the full
payment of $180.00, and he said that he would have ******** call us to
schedule an appointment for him to return to fix the items discussed.
The $180.00 was the cost for labor and thin set grout only. I had
purchased the tile at Lowes for $150.00.******** did call my mother on
January 13 and she explained to ******** that the job was unsatisfactory
and that judging by the length of time (9 hours) that ***** worked on
the job, that he was not experienced in this type of work. My mother
told her that we did not want ***** to come back and work on the
backsplash, but that we wanted a refund for an unsatisfactory service.
******** said that she would talk to ***** and call her back. ********
did not call my mother back that day, but she was able to reach ********
on January 14. ******** said that ***** agreed to refund me $90.00
(half of the total charge for labor and grout material). My mother
accepted this offer for me, and ******** told her that the refund check
would be mailed to me within 30 days. The refund check had not been
received by February 14, so my mother began calling Woodlakes office
number, which went straight to voicemail every time. She did leave
messages over the course of a few days, but no calls were returned. On
February 20, I called the office number from a number that they did not
recognize, and left a message that I wanted a quote on a job, but did
not leave my name, only the number. ***** returned the call on February
21. I told him my name, and asked for the status of my refund check.
He told me that he thought it had been sent already, but that he would
check with ******** and have her call me to let me know the status. He
also told me several times that he would personally deliver the check to
me if necessary.I never got that phone call back from ********, so, on
February 24, my father went by the office address which was listed on
their website (**** ******** ***** ****. He found nothing on the
building directory listed for
, and the Suite # listed was for a
different business. (The BBB website lists a different address for
(**** ******** which is an apartment complex). As of
February 27, I hadnt heard from ********. I called
surprisingly, ******** answered. She told me ***** did not give her the
message to call me. She told me that she would have to check the
status of my refund and call me back. I asked when I could expect to
hear from her, and she said that she would call me back by March 3rd.As
of March 6, I had yet to hear from ********. I left a voicemail with
that morning, and ******** called me back within 5 minutes.
She told me they had sent the check a month ago, and gave me the address
that it was sent to. The name was correct, but the address was not
mine. She said the address was the one that they had written down. I
told her that they should have my address, because they did do work at
my house. I then told her my correct address and she said that they
would send a new check, but it would, again, take 30 days for
processing. I told her that ***** told me himself that he would hand
deliver the check to me. She said that she would have to check with him
and get back with me. She then said that she would be e-mailing me so
that she would have the conversation for her records. I happily agreed,
as long as I received some form of communication. I gave her my e-mail
address, and, when I asked for Woodlakes e-mail address, she said that I
should refer to their website. She then gave me the e-mail address of

"When the quote came out to be a bit higher than what I was planning to spend ($1,700 total for work on entryway, master shower, and master bath floor and countertops), I very politley and professionally requested another quote with a modified scope of work to focus only on the most immediate areas of concern. And waited. And waited. And waited. ...more Finally after a few weeks of no response, I followed up and to my surprise got a response back almost straight away. The estimator said that he would prepare another quote but it might take him a few more days because they were very busy. So I said, great, looking forward to it. And waited. And waited. And waited. It's not been over a month and still no modified quote. Doesn't seem like they want / need my business.
This is too bad becuase when the guy came out to look at the place and do an esimate, he certainly sounded like he knew what he was doing, was punctual, and acted professionally, and I really wanted to give this company a
. I supposed I can understand that companies get busy, but to basically turn customers away by not responding is flaggerbasting. And I wasn't going to spend $50 either, maybe they are used to larger/higher margin jobs, but to me an over $1,000 loss of revenue just because you couldn't work with me to modify the scope of the project seems like an untrivial loss for a business like this, so I am scratching my head as to what happend here. "I am writing this review nearly 3 years after service. I did not want to write immediately after the service as I wanted to see the long term results of the cleaning/sealing, never having had this done before. Unfortunately, time passed and I kept putting off the review. My experience with this company was fine -
was prompt, ...more and very helpful moving my furniture out of the room for me, and completing the cleaning and sealing in a short time. I had an Angie's List coupon for cleaning 250 square foot of tile for $195, and was going to have just the main walkway area cleaned, rather than the dining, kitchen and living room (much of which was under a rug). But
convinced me to include the other areas as well (extra cost) so there wasn't a clean/not clean separation given tis was an open area.
The cleaning went well, and I was generally pleased - the tile looked fine, although it was not overly dirty to begin with, and
did a great job at not damaging baseboards, cleaning all the tile, moving furniture back into the rooms. However, as time passed I could tell the grout was not sealed as well as I had expected (water was not beading up as I thought it would) and after about four months the main path was a bit grungy again. The other areas are about the same as they were - no issues, but they get little traffic, and in hindsight I wish I had only had the main entry/ walking area cleaned. It may be that tile grout just gets grimy and has to be resealed constantly. Having no other experience with cleaning tile grout I don't know how to gauge the long term results against any other service, but it was less successful than I had hoped.
Based on my experience I do think
does a good job - I just can't rate the grout cleaning an "A" because the effects did not seem to last and I am now looking to regrout a small area and see if that helps. I would definitely consider using them for other jobs. "
mainly due to great reviews and their cost being lower than other quotes. We had some quarter sized holes and long cracks in travertine floors that were about 8 years old. They arrived on time and were very professional in their mannerisms. They moved furniture out of my kitchen and the washer and dryer out ...more of my utility room. It took a full day to complete the entry way and my kitchen/utility/half bath area with travertine floors. They were very good at filling the holes and cracks that were my main concern. There are still smaller holes that they were unable to fill which I was informed of when they gave me the quote. The floors were buffed and polished to a
finish which is just beautiful. I do hope that shine lasts a long time though I was told it would be about 3 years. So I guess we'll have to go through this expense all over again at that time.
The only negatives that we had was that the two men team were getting tired towards the end of the day and one of the team members (who looked more like a helper to the main guy) seemed to be sitting outside more and more and not helping the main guy much. They started bickering between themselves. And then when they were putting everything back into place my brand new refrigerator was pushed so hard that the back panel was bent on the water line connection at the wall. I did not notice this until later when my refrigerator started making a very loud noise. I called the owner the next day and he came out promptly to look the damage. He was concerned and helped to straighten out the thin plate some. I'm not that concerned about how the refrigerator was left. However, it does show that the team that he has working together isn't the best and he needs to be cautious about who he hires to help out his trained floor guy. "
"It went great! Very professional, knowledgeable, prompt, fast service. We have an older home and the tile and grout were looking dirty. They came in and cleaned it all and a very short time. Good job. Would use them again.
"Fabulous. The floors were in terrible shape - dirty and stained from 40 years of wear. They were yellowed and really dated the house.
cleaned and polished them (it took them 10 hours) and they look better than new. They also cleaned up after themselves so that the area was cleaner than before. Truly an outstanding job. We had ...more no idea that the floors could look this good. "
