He replaced two doors for me: one going from the kitchen to the garage, and one from the utility room to the outside. He did a great job in getting both to fit and work properly. I did notice, however, that not all of the holes in the hinges were filled with screws, and some of the screws were inserted at a bit of an angle. Also, the door to the outside required a slight adjustment by me a little later because the top

slid forward slightly, and the door began to hit the jamb when closing. This was an easy fix, however. His assistant repaired a crack in the ceiling drywall in the dining room, and even did his best to match the circular pattern on the ceiling. He also painted the garage doors and shutters. This young man did a great job and did it very cleanly.

also repaired a broken fence post. Instead of replacing the existing post, he added a new one a short distance down the line. While I would've preferred he replace the existing one to keep the appearance consistent, he said he'd done this kind of repair many times after Hurricane

While he did a very fine job of this, the wood itself had a couple of natural gouges in it, which I had to putty before painting in order to make it look smooth. "This work was divided into two efforts that were separated by nearly a year. I originally contacted DJ in Sep 2008 asking him to build and install new cabinet doors and drawer faces in addition to modifying the cabinets to accomodate a new microwave oven. At the time, I did not ask him to paint the doors and drawer faces but planned to paint them myself ...more after I completed all the other aspects of the kitchen renovation. Within only two days, DJ had built all the new cabinet doors and drawer faces. They were skillfully constructed and of good quality. I anticipated that I would paint the pieces in about four days and then have DJ install them.
