Colon Care Reviews in Houston

After seeing my son in his office, Dr.
got him in for surgery the following afternoon. Everything went as Dr.
said it would and my son is healing well. Dr.
's nurses/staff are all very professional and personable --- we felt well cared for!!!
- Laura S.

I made my appointment with Dr
for a problem that was VERY PERSONAL AND EMBARRASSING for me after years of living with the condition. At the appointment I was first shown an office where I had a "consultation" with a very young doctor the age of my oldest child. I expressed my embarrassment about discussing my problem with this young doctor but felt that I had to get through him to see Dr.
. After the consult came the examination, again by this very young doctor. Only after this did Dr.
come to talk to me. He never touched me. He determined that I should have more tests run and said his office would call to schedule the appointments.

I was call and the appointments scheduled at a facility that was a part of his medical group. Costs and my insurance coverage and what I would need to be prepared to pay were not discussed during these conversations. I know that I have a high deductable and anticipated having to cover that first so was prepared to personally pay for most of the expense of the treatments. I was not prepared for the public questioning of my financial abilities in the waiting room of the testing center. After several moments of discussion I requested if the discussion could happen in a more private setting. It was at this time that I questioned why, if they were so concerned about my ability to pay did they not ask when they scheduled the appointment as they knew then that I would have to be able to pay for the procedures personally then.

After spending so many years just gathering the courage to discuss my problem and have i diagnosed and treated this confrontational and very public flogging undid me. I canceled the procedures and left. I called the doctors office from my car and spoke with
the office manager in tears. She apologized profusely and stated that she would have Dr.
call me on Monday. Monday, she did call me back but did not discuss at all the problems that happened at the testing center but just address some of the questions I had stated about the process of another test that was to be run. Dr.
was not mentioned which was surprising as he was supposed to call me not
and as she could not answer all my questions she indicated she would have to get those answers and call me back. Three days later when I still had not heard back from her or Dr.
I called and canceled the last procedure. I was requested at that time to call his office to let him know that I had canceled the procedure.

Yesterday I received notice from my insurance company that the first appointment was bill from a Dr.
for a $300.00 consultation and $300.00 surgical procedure. I don't know who Dr.
is. I did not have surgery while I was in the office. I called billing today and was told that they did bill it under Dr.
but the insurance company made a mistake. Also the outrage costs for 30 minutes of time with a doctor who I did not even have an appointment with was okay because they only really get $80 dollars from the insurance company. I was then told that I actually had a credit on my account and that they would mail a check out in about a week.

I have a very real issue that needs to be addressed and now have to find a different doctor and start all over. I am a business owner and would never treat my customers this way. I felt as if I was just a way to make money to Dr.
. Make an appointment, let them see the grunt resident, step in like a movie star and make an appearance. Refer the patient to have tests at the testing facility I own, make sure they can pay by God, as my 5 minute appearance diservses reverence and don't worry about the patients feelings or privacy, Oh, and when they cancel appointments make them notify everyone as we just don't have the time as time is money to us. And unless the patient ask for it, don't mention the credit on their account after all, we lost all that income because she canceled her appointments.

Colon Care reviews in Houston

I had colon resectioning surgery on November 10, 2011. The procedure went very well with no complications. Dr.
Houston Colon Specialists Provider Name Locked
was exceptional in all areas. After reading numerous articles, blogs, and postings about this type of surgery, I was very concerned going into it. But after visiting with him he addressed all of my concerns and helped me to feel calm about the surgery. He performed the surgery exceptionally well. I feel like I will finally be able to live a normal life after 11 years of struggling to get by with other doctors. I would highly recommend him for anyone with colon issues.

He is awesome. He's young, fun and very friendly. He is unlike any other surgeon I've ever met. His staff is very nice as well.

He is an excellent doctor. He was referred to me by another doctor that I was seeing, so I made an appointment. I had a couple of visits with him and almost had a surgery but decided against it. I was very pleased with him, and I have referred him to another person too. I would rate him highly and would use him again in the future if necessary.
- Nikki M.

They moved about a year ago to another building. The building is professional and clean. They use all the latest equipment and provide good care.
- William K.

He had performed a colonoscopy for me a couple of years ago. He is good at what he does. He had solved a problem for me 20 years ago, and I have been going to him ever since. I like his bedside manner and everything. I have never had a problem with him. He has got a big staff that works with him. They are all highly competent people.
- William K.

I was very impressed with this doctor. He is a first class doctor, and he had no trouble at all getting all of the cancer removed. He was great at explaining things and had excellent follow up after the surgery as well.
