"It went well, they were prompt and professional and competent. I really liked dealing with them when I spoke with them and when they first came by the house so I did not get multiple bids. Their pricing was in line with my expectations. They got back to me promptly when I called with questions about the scope of the work and I they were actually able to schedule and do the work early than they had anticipated. They recommended some additional work to the chimney, but told us how we could do it ourselves to save a little money. We may yet call them back for that additional work.

"What just happened? First off, when I made the appointment I stated that I had a high chimney (no problem), and that my cap had blown off and needed to be put back on (no problem). I said I wasn't sure it needed to be cleaned but I did have a 'smell' coming from there, prob due rain getting in (again, no problem). I was impressed by the helpfulness and was looking forward to getting the appointment done. The lad arrived on time, and appeared polite. I went over what I needed since he did not seem to know anything that I covered in the phone call. He looked up my chimney, and agreed there was a bad smell, probably due to the water coming in. Said it did not need to be cleaned and he would not be able to put the cap on since he had only brought the short ladder - WTH?! Then went on to say that I should just get my handy man to put that on - I don't have a handy man. Does this man even work for the same company that I called? He became surly and rude, and to boot, nothing I asked to be done got done because the ladder was too short and I don't have a handy man.
I can only hope that my very bad experience is not truly representative of the company's customer service, I suspect not because they would not be getting this many good reviews. But, I shall not be calling them again and will hope that their competition will be a lot more helpful.

"The house was built in 1982. The chimney interior was not well done at all. We have owned the home since 2000 and had not built a real fire. It was a good thing we had the chimney inspected before we installed gas logs.

seemed expensive, but considering the extensive repair required we were good to go...........the fiber optic camera was an excellent tool to show the amount of flu and firebox leaks that needed to be repaired. The spark arrester had never set properly and that was because the flu tiles were not run to the top of the chimney. Lord's Chimney broke all the work down by pieced so we could have elected to do only parts at a time......They have a full line of services. The work was done in the time estimate they said. I now have a safe and fully functional fireplace.

drier vent cleaning job was well done. Upon cleaning chimney service provider found a large hole on top of chimney cap. He provided a job estimate and came back several days later with required equipment. Fixed the hole and placed a chimney cap on top. Job was very well done and timely adjusted procedures to minimize using roof so as not to damage the new roof .

"We called and reached him immediately. He came out to inspect the issue and gave us a quote the same day. Services were scheduled within 2 business days, the other company we called was booked for 2+ weeks. He arrived on the date of appointment, after calling to check if we were home and to let me know he would be about 30 minutes late. He arrived as expected, performed the work, and we are happy with the result."

"The owner,

, came out to look at the job before providing an estimate. He seemed very knowledgeable and nice. He stated that his crew could

around Houston to find matching brick for my 1940's home. Note:

and one other contractor both told me that the brick is no longer manufactured; one other contractor told me I would never find it and I would have to settle for something close but not exactly the same color, size or texture.

sent a professional bid via email - it was typed up and outlined the cost per task. He worked with me on cutting out portions of the work (I decided to fix some cracked steps later), and adding the task of bricking in the window unit hole. I accepted, and about one week later, he sent a full crew out to begin work. Note that I had removed and framed in the windows prior to their arrival, so they did no carpentry - only the masonry part of the job.
His crew barely spoke English, but that didn't matter because they knew exactly what they were doing. They needed no supervision (even though I kept checking on them just in case). The entire job took about 2.5 days. The work they did was impeccable. I watched as they dyed the mortar to color-match the existing mortar on the house. The bricks they arrived with were nearly an exact match for my brick, except that they had more lighter colors (mine is a mix of orange/yellow/light brown). They solved this by going brick by brick and painting every fifth brick or so with a reddish masonry dye. By the time they were done, it was nearly a perfect match. You have to look really hard to tell that the bricks were added later.
My only complaint is that the arch that had collapsed, after being repaired, was still a little off - but there's only so much you can do with something damaged that badly. After I complained to the foreman, he spent another hour chipping, painting, and making it look a little better.

"They did not show for the first appointment. When I called and rescheduled they were apologetic and rescheduled. They called the morning of the second appointment that they would be slightly late, but did show up. The technician seemed very competent and knowledgable. He gave us an estimate with a reduced price because of missed appointment and scheduled the service for the next week. He and his assistant arrived and did a good job. My husband was pleased. The overall experience is B rather than A because of my original experience. If that hadn't happened I probably would have given them an A."

"We were very pleased with them. They didn't try to fix what didn't have to be fixed and only fixed what needed to be fixed. They were very efficient and very good."

"The sales man promised me everything but I didn’t get it all in writing. I called them because the fireplace floor was failing making the back wall fail also. I showed him the fireplace floor and he said “they will make it right.” He also told me that while they were out, ask the crew to affix the clean out door to the outside of the chimney. The crew showed up on time. There were 2 workers and a supervisor. They stayed till 8:30 or 9pm. The young man doing the fireplace rebuild was conscientious and wanted to do a good job. The supervisor told me that repairing the floor was not on the estimate of work. When I told him the salesman told me that they would affix the cleanout door to the chimney he said “he promised you a lot that he didn’t write on the statement of work.” I didn’t appreciate being called a liar. After they left we noticed that the flue did not close all the way because the way the back wall was rebuilt. The supervisor came back and I told him it closed before they came. He told me that it probably didn’t close before and they would charge me to fix it. After discussions and several days they ended up fixing the problem by cutting off the end of the flue handle. And didn’t charge me. The chimney mortar had many holes that were unfilled and they sent another worker out to fix that. That employee wanted me to be satisfied with the work and was a pleasure to work with. And I talked to the owner a few times and she was intensely interested in getting the job done right. So after 4 trips they got it right. But I didn’t like being called a liar. And having to argue with the supervisor and having to inspect every detail to make sure they did it right."
