"He is absolutely wonderful. I have been a patient of his for at least 15 years. I am scheduled to see him again this month. He knows what he is talking about and he doesn't do" any unnecessary testing. He tries to
things out just by talking to you and listening to what your symptoms are. He will do testing if necessary. He is conservative. He has been very accurate in diagnosing me. A lot of doctors want to give you medicine right away but he is just the opposite. He likes to do the tests first to see what they show and then he will put you on medicine. His staff is very nice. If I was going to complain about his office, it would be the delay in seeing him. If you have an appointment at 1pm you may not get into see him until 2:30pm. I know this is just because of staffing and insurance companies pay such a small amount for office visits. I am a retired nurse; one of the benefits of being in the medical field is that you know who the good doctors are. I wouldn't use anyone else. I highly recommend him. He really cares.

" I have been using Dr.
for the past seventeen years. She is a cardiac specialist who can perform heart ablations to correct rhythm problems as well all cardiac" issues. My first heart ablation was performed in 1996 by her which was successful and completely knocked out my heart rhythm problem. I was free of rhythm problems and medication free because of the procedure for fifteen years. I developed a new rhythm problem in another area of the heart last year. She performed another heart ablation; unfortunately, this was not successful but I was placed on a very effective medication called flecainide which I take twice a day which controls my heart rhythm. I also developed very high blood pressure in the past couple of years. Through extensive trying of different medications and taking her advice of lowering weight and trying to reduce stress my blood pressure is completely under control. Dr.
is a wonderful doctor. She is very relaxed when talking to you and treats you as an equal. She has a very compassionate and kind nature, listens carefully, takes extensive notes on your condition. She works with you to find a solution to your particular health issue. She leaves all decisions to you after carefully explaining the options. Her motto with me has always been"listen to your body." Dr.
uses only necessary medications and does not write tons of unneeded meds as some doctors are prone to do. She has worked under Dr.
in Oklahoma who is the founder of the heart ablation procedure many years ago. Dr.
teaches at UT Memorial-
in downtown Houston as well and has many students who she trains who are in the Fellowship program there. I feel confident and secure in her care and highly recommend her to anyone who is in need of a general or specialized cardiologist. You will be in excellent hands!

"I had a 90% blockage many years ago and he did one of the first angioplasty procedures at our hospital. It was very successful and I credit him for saving my life. I would highly recommend him.

I like him, but I have noticed a definite change over the years. He is now much more governed by the minutes he spends with a client, so a routine-checkup is generally less than 10 minutes. I do get to ask any questions and get straightforward answers. He had me get a non-invasive test last year in his office that helped evaluate if I have arterial sclerosis. He said that if all Americans could have this

test for free, it would be an enormous step toward better proactive health care for all. Yes, he is now sometimes edgy, gruff, quick - and his patient interaction is not as pleasant as it was years ago. BUT, I do think he is an excellent cardiologist, keeping up in a fast-changing field, proactive, anti-big business insurance and trying to get the best health care for Americans. We used to have long interesting chats about the state of health care and drug companies. He is often called out on emergencies, thus punctuality sometimes is an issue. When the staff knows he will be late, they always offer to reschedule, or even csall me days ahead if a major change in his schedule occurs.

From start to finish, it was a terrible experience. I have several health issues, and know the difference between an appropriate standard of care and a neglectful one. In addition to what I've already written, there are more issues that are very troubling: Dr.
Houston Cardiologists Provider Name Locked
did NOT follow up with my internist re: my updated thyroid testing, he didn't say anything about the several medications he has me on (I had to bring this up), nor did he order cholesterol or lipid screening OR get recent tests from my internist. He just was not interested in these very basic cardiology issues: medications, thyroid status, or lipid profile! When I brought them up, he cut me off. My internist advised me to see a new cardiologist as soon as possible, and I have. The new cardiologist is very concerned, and is still trying to obtain the actual films, CDs, and tracings of the original tests from Dr.

, with no success! Dr.

did not even make an attempt to provide the basic standard of care for a heart disease and arrythmia patient. As I said, after he'd spoken to me for 2 minutes on the phone, he refused to return another call. The whole experience shows extreme negligence, and is continuing cause for concern for me and my doctors. Dr.
Houston Cardiologists Provider Name Locked
does not engage with the patient's concerns: during an office visit, he in unclear, and not responsive. He didn't ask about my medications, my other medical diagnoses, my cholesterol and other blood testing results, or other pertinent issues. His main concern seems to be doing a lot of testing, billing his patients, and not having the time to do proper follow up. Because we all have only ONE heart, I would advised everyone to avoid this doctor: he doesn't even provide a basic standard of care!

Dr

is an excellent physician! He's extremely personable and his testing was very thorough. I was able to schedule an appointment within a week and the waiting time in his office was less than 10 minutes.

He didn't take my concerns seriously. He ignored that I needed a cardiologist. I needed prescriptions fill and he would set the amount for less than that of what I needed. I have been on these prescriptions for years by a hospital. He would write down on a month subscription to take three pills a day and make it for 60 pills. When I called the office to correct this, they would not change it.

I had been to a previous dr for the same condition and was uncomfortable with the recommended treatment. After searching the internet, I came across Dr
Houston Cardiologists Provider Name Locked
's name and was impressed with his credentials. Dr
Houston Cardiologists Provider Name Locked
not only confirmed my suspicions about the previous prescribed treatment, he warned me of the pitfalls of it. No only is Dr
Houston Cardiologists Provider Name Locked
extremely personable, but he gave me all the time I needed and walked me through an accurate, extremely acceptable treatment. He saved me the excessive charges, recovery, and mistakes I could have incurred. He did not seem interested in money - he truly seemed to care for me as if I were a friend or relative. I am delighted, to say the least.

Very thorough on testing; eventually found no further action was required. Prescribed drugs for blood chemistry issue and resolved it successfully. Follows up to ensure continued succes. Normal check ups are good practice, but not helpful. Doctor likes to lecture on recent articles and studies, mostly to look smart, but the information isn't enlightening. Somewhat brusque manner and office visits for checkups are a bit rushed.

He was able to hook up a recording device to my son that when the heart started racing, my son would touch a button to record the episode. With that, he was able to come up with a solution that helped him and now my son is better than he ever felt. It's amazing that we went through so many doctors that saw him and couldn't come up with anything. Our doctor
