" returned my initial call promptly. They asked me a number of questions regarding the moving job for which I wanted an estimate. They gave" me a "ballpark" estimate and asked when I needed to be moved. It turned out that the date fit well with their schedule and they asked me if I was interested in a more specific estimate. Based on the ballpark estimate, I was interested in pursuing. They promised to call the next morning to get more specific information to complete the estimate. As promised, the next morning they called and had me walk through a detailed tour of our home and what needed to be moved - room by room. For some rooms, they asked about specific items that many people have but I may have forgotten about. That was very helpful. They also asked about certain items that might be heavier than normal. Once we completed that, they gave me an estimate in the form of a range of $1,210 to $1,295. They then sent me an email detailing what we had discussed and asked me to review the list and confirm it, which I did. I ended up adding a few things that I somehow forgot earlier. But, they didn't change the estimate. They confirmed the date of the move and indicated that they start their day at 7:00 AM and would be travelling from their location to our home. We were up bright and early the morning of the move. They called shortly after 7:00 AM to let us know that they were on their way and they told us the names of the crew that would be doing our move. There were four men with two very large trucks. They estimated their arrival as 7:30 AM and they were spot on. The crew leader came to the door and introduced himself then he introduced his crew members. Then the crew leader toured the home with me reviewing the list of things to move from the email that we exchanged. They disassembled any furniture items that needed to be take apart to move. They allowed us to leave all our stuff in our drawers. They wrapped the furniture in moving blankets which they then sealed with a plastic wrap. This was an excellent touch because it protected both the finish of the furniture as well as the paint and the walls. It was really hot and humid that day and they were all sweating profusely. But they hustled and in about 3 hours they had everything on the truck. While they were loading the truck, we were loading our car with the things we wanted to hand-carry. Once they were loaded up, we left the house. They told us that they would stop for a short break along the way to get something to eat and drink - we went on ahead to the townhouse. Within 30 minutes of our arrival at the townhouse, they were pulling up. We gave them a brief tour of the townhouse and gave them a general sense of where we wanted them to put the furniture items. We had labeled all of our boxes with their destination so we explained to them where those destination names were actually located in the townhouse. The crew leader called his boss for a final determination of the cost (within the estimate range that they initially gave me). It came out to be the lowest end of the estimate plus they charge for the amount of plastic wrap that they use. In this case, it came to $15. So, the total came to $1,225. While we were settling the fee, the rest of the crew started moving our stuff into the townhouse. My wife and I were on hand to direct them regarding placement of the furniture in the rooms. They put things exactly where we wanted them and were willing to move things to new locations when we decided to change our mind on where things should go. The put together the various items of furniture that they previously disassembled, perfectly. They were very careful in moving things so that they didn't damage the walls in the townhouse (or the items being moved). They were done in a few hours. The crew leader asked us if we wanted anything moved around within the house and if we were satisfied with the move. We were pleased with everything and, as of this date, we have not found any damage to what was moved. Before they left, I tipped each member of the crew for a job well done! We are totally pleased with the move and plan to hire to do our final move to our new home once it is built this Fall. I highly recommend them.

"It was wonderful, they arrived when they said they would, called to advise they were on their way. Packed up all my heavy furniture and moved it within the time frame specified.

Don't think of it as necessary because movers are paid low wages.  Tipping is always optional.  Some service industry's normally see tips, such as food service and moving.  Others such as plumbing and painting do not.  Why?  I don't know.

Generally, our movers are tipped and the prospect of a tip I believe keeps them moving with "a sense of urgency".

If you feel that the movers are already getting paid, and they are... you don't have to tip.  Some people that receive a service like to recognize service that is above normal with a tip.

Either way we hope your move went well.

Typically the carpet is replaced  and floors REfinished , to present the house you are selling at the best possible appearance , not showing the wear of your stay there.

Think about IT , which house would you rather BUY ?

A home with  New Flooring , or one where you see every  scratche and stain left by the former Owners ?

The move went well and very closely matched the quote. It would have been even quicker but unforeseen issues with the home's closing, which was that day, actually made the move time longer. Everyone was really nice and everything arrived. One dresser leg was broken, which I haven't yet had time to call about. Overall, very happy with the service.

This was a very positive experience. From my first phone call I found this company to be friendly and professional. My questions were answered quickly. The three gentlemen that did the moving were outstanding They were prompt and courteous. I would definitely recommend this company.

Excellently. It was a pleasure to work with the staff. The timing on doing my project was a bit tricky but , the individual who oversaw and co-ordinated everything, was terrific to work with. He constantly stayed in touch and gave me updates. The team of movers, and , worked ...More hard and efficiently. They were very pleasant to work with. This is the second time I have used and I will use them again when I need their services. I have also recommended them to friends and colleagues.
- Amy Z.

I am very pleased with this company. I hired them based upon my sister's recommendation. They treated my furniture and belongings with care. They're prepared for everything! They're courteous and very customer oriented. From the initial estimate to the final move I was very happy with them for both of the moves they did for me. ...More I'm about to move again and if I can afford to, I'm going to have them move me again. They are reasonably priced, it's just that I'm disabled and no longer work.

The experienced estimator provided an estimate at 7000# (twice) when the actual weight was 5600#. That meant an extra (1400# X .78 per pound) $1092.00 was added to the bill. understood that we were packing our goods and yet we understood he company was packing the goods. , the ...More 15 yr veteran driver, was slow and shakey. He and his companion that helped packed the goods took all of my clothes that were on hangers and took them off the hangers. Why? Then was scheduled to deliver on Monday. When I called him on Monday afternoon to see why I hadn't received any phone call of an update, he said that the "helper" wasn't available until after 5pm. so it would be best to wait until Tuesday morning. He would deliver at 8am. When Tuesday at 8:20 am arrived and no , I called again. And he said he was on his way. He arrived about 8:40am. had a hard time backing into the drive way depite it being huge. Instead of staying in the middle of the drive an leaving 3 feet on each side of the vehicle, he backed right into the barbed wire fence and then got stuck. My neighbor had to get his tractor our to pull out 's truck. Luckily, the fence wasn't broken, but there are two big ditches in the drive where he spun his wheels. My husband had put blue painters tape on each item that was to go into storage since he would not be on site at delivery. For some reason, and his partner pulled all but one piece of blue tape off and then feigned no knowledge of the blue tape. Again why? Then we come to of Moving and Storage (Round Rock Texas)who was 's helper at delivery. He was very pleasant and hard working, it seemed. I have a sewing maching valued at $2000 USED. took it inside the house. The side drawers must have spilled because they were all jumbled. I thought it was odd that when returned to the truck that he reached into his pocket and looked at something and then threw it over by the oak tree. What could that have been? It was an expensive quilting foot to go on my sewing machine. Why would you throw it over under the oak tree? We found it the next day, broken. Then after counting off the boxes, 2 dishpacks were missing. said "that was his inventory". I said who wrote the items on the inventory? said he did, so how does that make it my husband's inventory? Anyway, said there were only 8 dishpaks on the trailer but the inventory listed 11, and nothing was missing. ?
And finally, because didn't listen to us when we explained that they were to pack the items and estimate accordingly, we end up paying more- less than $100 more but still more for this lousy service.
Oh when I complained the didn't listen to our conversations (his and mine) that specifically talked about them packing, he said it was my fault and not his. No apologies. No consideration there was a possibility that he erred. It was all my fault.
I haven't opened all my boxes yet because of lack of time, but I'm sure that I will find more problems based on what I have found so far. I do not recommend anyone using this group again.
- Bill W.

The night before my scheduled move called to tell me the movers wouldn't arrive until 11:30 AM because they were doing a "small job" in the morning. Long story short, the 11:30 turned into 12:30 and finally into 2:30. I didn't start the moving process until 2:30 in the afternoon!! This, after they had promised ...More me an 8:30 AM time slot. To boot, the estimate I received nearly doubled by the time all things were said and done. The bright side? The moving team was extremely professional. They saved the day.

I was astounded at the amount of information that supplied about moving my mother. She was patient and unhurried in her approach. She not only answered all my questions, but gave me information I didn't even know I needed. Yes, she gave me an estimate, but she explained the number of folks on the crew and how billing was ...More done - when it starts and when it stops. She obviously had experience with short small moves like my mom's. She explained insurance coverage, regulations, what van line they use and, most importantly to me, suggested the questions I ask all the other movers so we would be comparing apples to apples.
In the end, we had a friend with time and equipment to do the 8 mile move for us. Had that last minute opportunity not presented itself we were prepared to choose . They weren't the cheapest estimate we received nor we they the most expensive, but they were the nicest, most responsive and most forthcoming. Based on that experience I would not hesitate to recommend them to others or to use them myself when I move. I can't imagine that the professionalism on the phone would not transfer into a smooth and hassle-free move for us.
- Pamela P.

The three movers who showed up ( , and one other) were polite, careful and efficient. I am very satisfied with their work and their attention to detail, to make sure that furniture, walls and floors were not damaged. They were careful to make sure they took the right things from one house and they were ...More very careful about making sure that the items found their way to the right room in the new house. They came recommended by one friend and I have already recommended them to another friend.
