Harrisburg Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Reviews
We were told we would receive a free sink and faucet when signing the contract, oops, no, you do not. But were later told that was a mistake by her but “...if that would be a deal breaker...” I will see that you get a faucet. After some haggling with her supervisor, he offered us a $100 gift card in
Pointing out to initial installer that the crown molding was not level. he said it was and explained why it was. When my husband came home we retrieved a ladder and climbed up with a level (our cabinets are 42 inches in height and we are in our middle and late sixties) and found laminate shavings and saw dust he had left (already had this experience earlier in the project upon opening the refrigerator and being showered with laminate shavings as was the inside of the refrigerator) and that it was NOT aligned with the cabinet tops and was indeed NOT level. His supervisor on one of his visits agreed and the discussed solution was to pull off a portion, realign and reattach. Actual attempt to remedy: he watched while the “new” installer took a block of wood and hammered upward on the molding next to a right angle joint with his “special tools.”
Would this be acceptable in the home of his company president? It was disrespectful.
By this time, Home Depot area services manager is involved. Thanksgiving (four children/nine grandchildren) ruined. Called by hdyrg on December 20 to "install the doors." Wait, what about the other issues? We told them we would get back to them after the holiday.
Final (?!?) install/correction date of January 17/18, 2014 came. Same drill, clear counter tops, husband home from work to deal with it, as I no longer can. Again, with moving and storing items, two days of machining noise, glue, etc. Only to have a tool failure ruin the replacement laminate under the one wall of cabinets. In addition, find that the replaced laminate on another cabinet frame has grooved scratches.
Has smoothing of all edges been done? I do not know, as I left our galley (approximately 9'8" by 9'6") kitchen yesterday and am
not inclined to fully visit it yet. The kitchen, which the original installer told his supervisor, was going to be “a piece of
had not problem coming to us and getting our input. Something that they did on a daily basis, which I put at the top of my list of things that are important when dealing with people, is when speaking to you that always made eye contact with you. As the project moved along we saw how great the remodeling work really was, and how detailed oriented the craftsmen are in their work. When the work was completed, they had my husband and I come upstairs for the grand tour!!! Grand can hardly cover how wonderful everything turned out!!! We are very, very happy!! It was a big project, as well as a large expenditure on our part, and absolutely received the very best work for our money. When I am ready for some of the smaller remodeling projects in my home, the only contractor I will be calling is
skilled crew, up at the end of every day. My husband and I were very impressed with their professionalism.
