"My client enrolled her child in this non-acredited
school( by
) and paid approximately 1,000 dollars. However, due" to unforeseen circumstances as to job relocation…this child never attended the school…. School was notified about the change prior to the beginning date and my client was told that the amount of money to be refunded would be $400. The child never attended any classes. I would like to know what services were rendered that justify the expenditure of $600! Since the job relocation was unforeseen, it would seem that some sort of explanation would be forthcoming as this enrollment was done in good faith, and notification was given immediately. Is it possible that there is a $600 charge for the Open House? I can be reached at the following number 360-259-6520. Thank you,
Cabrini Kadull,

"TOTALLY WORTH THE MONEY! Great classes. I took my
test literally this morning to prepare to go to nursing school. I scored in the 99th" percentile on my FIRST try thanks to this preparation! I am nursing school bound and am thrilled!
is simply outstanding.
is totally dedicated to your success as a student for the
Test. If the prep classes he offers are not enough, he has office hours that are at times dedicated totally to YOU. I cannot emphasize enough how encouraging and amazing
is. If you truly want to go to nursing school, especially in a very competitive state like mine, you want to talk to
ASAP. If you can, do it like I did, sign up for this class and perform well the first time! Classes are offered online at certain times, all you need is a webcam and reliable internet access. Small classes offered from the privacy of your own home or wherever you choose. One note- FOLLOW THE RULES, be sure to pay attention to what
says. Valuable information
in his knowledge!!

Tutoring reviews in Greensboro

From start to finish,
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
exceeded our expectations. They were punctual, professional, knowledgeable and very kind. Amazing experience- especially when my son blossomed from a reluctant learner to someone who actually looked forward to
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
- Candice P.

I was a tutor that was listed with
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
for about one year. I would highly recommend that students and tutors STAY AWAY from this company, as it is my belief that they are engaged in unethical and exploitative business practices.
I have a graduate degree and have been in the educational field as a teacher, tutor, and program specialist for nearly 15 years -- and I can say, without reservation, that I have never worked before with such an unethical organization as
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
in my educational career.
First, they have a pyramid-like commission structure, beginning with the exorbitant rate of 40%, and reduce their commission to 35% after 20 hours of
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
. This is gradually reduced with the more hours a tutor logs until it is reduced to 20% commission after 400 hours of
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
Hours tutored

service fee %
0 - 20 40%
21 - 50 35%
51 - 200 30%
201 - 400 25%
400+ 20%
As a point of reference, one of their competitors whom I have worked with, takelessons.com, charges a commission of 20% from the beginning. If we were to look outside the online
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
industry into other independent contractor work, we would find commissions of 30% (Taskrabbit), 20% (rideshare companies like
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
, Lyft, and Sidecar), and 10% (union-franchised talent agents).
When I made inquiries with regard to why the commission was so high, I was told that the commission was needed to pay for marketing, IT, and other expenses. I explained that 40% was much higher than their competitors in the industry, and asked why their expenses necessitated such a high commission. They refused to provide further details.
I continued to provide
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
services through
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
, and I reached 20 hours of service, upon which the commission was reduced to 35%. My ratings were excellent (5 of 5 stars), and the comments I received from students were outstanding.
Then last month I received an email from the "Profile Review Team" which stated the following:
"A routine review of tutor profiles listed on
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
.com brought your account to our attention. We have concluded that the
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
platform is not the best fit for your
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
business, and we have elected to remove your profile from our active directory."
I also found that I was no longer able to log in to my account. I replied to the message and asked why my profile was removed. I received the following response:
"According to our records, you were unable to successfully use the
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
platform to secure and maintain lasting relationships with students through our website. We understand that our platform is effective in different ways for different tutors, and we review and sometimes remove profiles based on what we believe provides the best opportunities to potential students and our marketplace. The decision to keep your profile closed will stand."
Needless to say, I was quite puzzled by this response. I replied with an explanation that I received excellent ratings and reviews, and that many of my students had stopped
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
due to reasons that were not in my control. For example, two students had to return to their respective countries (I teach English as a Second Language); one student owned a convenience store while he was going to business school, and could not afford the time or money to continue
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
with me; another student was a
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
and her schedule became increasingly difficult, as she was looking for a new place to live with her husband.
I received the response below:
"The decision to remove your profile from our directory was made in accordance with our terms and conditions.
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
considers this decision to be final and a representative will not be made available to further discuss this matter."
I can say without a doubt that I have never been treated so disrespectfully by any organization in my educational career. To make the decision to remove a tutor's profile, with no warning, and then refusing to even discuss the matter, is nothing short of outrageous.
As is documented here and elsewhere, they have taken similar actions with other tutors, refusing to provide a detailed explanation and refusing to discuss the matter. As I stated earlier, their commission structure is exhorbitantly high for tutors who are new to the system, starting with 40% and only going down to 20% after completing 400 hours. I therefore can't help but wonder if the removal of tutors' profiles is related to keeping the number of tutors who earn higher rates at a low level so that
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
can collect the highest commissions possible on their remaining tutors. At the least, it is exploitative and unethical.
The response provided by
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
does not provide specific details or explanation.
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
claims that my profile was removed in accordance with the terms of use; however,
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
has refused to provide any supporting information, and has flatly refused to discuss the issue with me further.
In addition, I have researched what other tutors have written publicly with regard to
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
's business practices, and have observed that this sudden deletion of tutor profiles appears to be part of a pattern - tutors achieve a certain number of
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
hours to lower their commission rate and begin earning more, and soon find their profiles removed with little in the way of explanation or specific criteria or other details. This raises questions as to whether
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
terminates tutors who have achieved a higher take-home rate in order to maximize their own commission.
I filed a complaint against
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
with the Better Business Bureau requesting the following items:
1) Data which indicates how my student retention rates compared with tutors in the same discipline in the same metro area; 2)
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
standards that used in determining how a tutor is flagged for profile review and deletion; 3) a full and complete explanation as to why my profile was flagged and deleted, with supporting evidence and data, and without warning; 4) a full and complete report on my ratings and comments from students; 5) a reinstatement of my profile or a refund the commission I paid to
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
in full.
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
continues its refusal to provide such information, and refuses to even discuss the matter with me.
Based on this, I have come to the conclusion that it is
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
's practice to delete the profiles of tutors before their commission is reduced in order to maximize their profits. It is my belief that they are engaged in unethical business practices, and that I would highly discourage tutors and students from using
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked

Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
has been great and very accommodating. They helped us schedule lessons for a group of children in our neighborhood and worked around our schedules which is always appreciated. With 5 kids of varying ages and availability, they were great in finding a time that worked for us.
Our instructor,
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
, has been great with my almost 2-year-old son. His first lesson with
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
went really well but then he suddenly entered a phase (terrible two's?!) where water terrified him (the pool, the gulf, the bath!).
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
's patience with him has been unparalleled and she even spent time outside of lessons trying to come up with new ways to help get him comfortable in the water again. Thanks to
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
, we've seen a ton of progress from him. He's in the pool and he's excited to practice what he's learning.
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
understood that all 5 children, from ages 15 months to 4 years, were at different skill levels and at varying levels of maturity, for lack of a better word. Each lesson for each child was tailored to the child's needs and comfortability in the water. She was very open to any feedback I had regarding my son and what may work best and balanced my suggestions with her knowledge of how to teach water safety to toddlers.
We will certainly be using
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
going forward.

Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
understands the importance of really CONNECTING with my son. For each 2-hour session, she walks that fine line between sweet and firm, is incredibly patient & understanding, and is unfailingly encouraging with positive reinforcement & strategies, looking to build not just my son's academic skills, but his self-confidence as well. We now have the test behind us, but we will keep using
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
going forward to continue getting him the help and confidence he needs. I am so grateful.

They met with my daughter and a plan was never set up. I have been in touch with
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
since, and he said he would give us a refund and that he contacted Angie's list and that Angie's list said I had to contact them and they would give me the refund. They stated they had a money back guarantee.

Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
was wonderful from start to finish! I couldn't say anything better about her to anyone who is searching for help - She was always available and willing to schedule her
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
around my full-time work schedule needs, particularly since she's in a different time zone, as she is in Colorado, yet she was always available to work with my schedule. In addition, she is the type of math teacher I always needed - allowing me to ask questions when I thought of them, helping me to grasp concepts as we went along, instead of getting further and further behind until I threw up my hands in frustration and despair. She is able to take very complicated subjects and turn them into "plain English", and works with students over the internet on an internet "whiteboard", so that both she and the student can write/draw simultaneously, working on problems together. I would highly recommend her for anyone, of any age, who needs help with math. I have suggested that my sister contact
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
to help my 13 year-old
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
, and I am 49 - evidence of
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
's ability to converse with all age groups, just as others have stated. By the way, I will take the final in my class today, and I currently have an 88 average - absolutely amazing for me!!!
- Laura S.

During my junior year of high school I started having difficulties with my math class (pre-calculus) and decided to seek professional help. I started having
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
sessions every week and it helped tremendously. I not only got back on track, but I was able to participate and help others in class as well. The tutors are extremely patient and really make sure that you understand what they are teaching you. Having someone you can call/text/email at any time for help was very comforting. There are different tutors to accommodate to the different learning styles of each student. Also, a great plus is that my tutor came to my house instead of me having to drive somewhere else. This company is efficient and really puts the clients needs and concerns first. Calling
Greensboro Tutors Provider Name Locked
was definitely one of the best decisions I have made throughout my academic career.
- Kiana V.

The tutoring sessions went very well. The tutor was very thorough, professional yet friendly and worked well with my daughter. The one on one sessions we chose provided best way for individualized tutoring and we were pleased with the results.
