"The crew that came to replace the carpet with the floors were great! They realized that our floors were not level with the rest of the hardwood floors and that our sub floors needed to be replaced. Instead of charging us more money, they stuck to the ...more quote! They "ate" the cost and replaced the sub floors without charging us. The final product looked FANTASTIC!!!! However, we did have a couple of minor concerns. The area around our fireplace did look right..............it didn't seem to "flow". The new hardwood floors stopped where our brick fireplace started and it just didn't look right. After talking to
, they came out to our house, looked at our concerns and fixed the problem!
We also had a problem with a very small section of our older hardwoods. When the crew placed the last board of the new hardwoods, they "knicked" a little piece out of the adjacent wood in a doorway. NO PROBLEM! Weeks came back out and sanded both the new and the old area.............GOOD AS NEW!!!
The final product................GREAT!!!!! Looks fantastic! We are very happy! "

"Sanding was as expected, far from dustless. Application of new finish was not as neatly applied as I would have expected. It was all over the baseboards and in one room splattered on the walls chest high in several places. Also, there were paint chips ...more (from sander hitting painted baseboards I guess) in the newly applied finish which he never came back to correct as he said he would. In fairness, he was the cheapest of the quotes I received. While the job was acceptable for a rental property, I guess I got what I paid for"

to install a hardwood floor in two rooms of my house. They recommended using a pre-finished wood material rather than traditional hard wood because the job could be completed within 2-3 days and would not require staining or sanding. We agreed, they began the work, and the first time I stopped in to check with the ...more technician, he stated that the wood at the entrance to the room was sticking up and would have to be fixed later. The job was completed in 6 days, but when we returned to the house, we noticed that there were more than 100 additional places in the three rooms that where the pieces of wood joined, there was a lip where the two pieces did not connect appropriately. We contacted the company, and they said the job had been completed. They sent someone out to inspect the floors, and he believed (as did we) that the only way to fix the floors was to sand and stain all of it. The sanding would remove the raised edges. It took them an additional 2 weeks to complete these tasks and allow us to move back in our house. When we asked the salesperson why the floors had looked like they did before the sanding, he said it was because of defective wood. The company has followed up with the wood company and will receive a discount on a future purchase because of the defective material that we were given. Besides the fact that we were forced to live outside of our house for 2 1/2 weeks when it was supposed to last only 2-3 days, my biggest concern is why would the technician, the sales person, and the owner of the company all examine the house as the wood was being installed and not notice that there was a major defect in 100s of pieces of wood. This lack of attention to detail cost us an additional 2 weeks out of the house, plus the effort to clean up the house after sanding and staining that we were trying to avoid by buying the pre-finished wood. They promised that the wood would look the same as traditional hardwood floors, and then approved a defective material during installation. Also, in spite of receiving a future discount on wood purchases, we are not being properly reimbursed for the issues we have dealt with. They have offered a $500 good faith credit. We feel that half of the cost of the wood ($1800) is more appropriate for everything that we have had to deal with and the company's poor workmanship initially. "
is the one who does it all. From the initial meeting and estimate to all the work. His vast experience is evident in his craftsmanship. It is so refreshing to see someone who actually takes pride in his work. He repaired several places on the floor and helped us decide on a finish. Unlike ...more the other companies I contacted who had an estimator come out and promise things that I could not be sure would be conveyed to the actual workers,
was the salesman, technician, helper and clean up guy.. He was always on time and left the house clean. I wish all the workers I hired were as professional and conscientious as
. His prices were fair and a little less than the bigger companies. "
"This rental property was well overdue for a total make over. With all the work that needed to be done. They kept there 13 day completion date.
We always had wall to wall carpet hiding the hard wood floors which were covered with stains & paint . The transformation of the hard wood floors was amazing. They were quick to point out surprises ...more like when they found that the living room wall was in worst shape then we had expected. It had begun to separate from the foundation.
The work crew was very friendly my husband really enjoyed interacting with them. They did a fantastic job, they even cleaned up their mess. The house looks better now then when we first bought it.
"Originally everything went well and we gave him good reviews . Then a few months later the floor started to buckle .We called and asked him to come and check it out . He didn't call or come by .We called again and he said that he was busy and he would call us as soon as he finished his new job. We never heard from him again and we had to take care ...more of it ourselves.
two years ago to refinish my downstairs floors. The floors are GORGEOUS. They have changed the look of the entire downstairs interior. Bit by bit I am affording to have them do the same refinishing upstairs. What a prompt, courteous, jolly group of men. They were even kind to my old feeble cat. They moved my furniture ...more into a rented POD in my driveway. After the floors were finished, they unloaded the POD and not only returned the furniture VERY carefully to its proper placements, but helped me stick felt footings on the legs of tables and chairs so that the floor finish would be further protected from scrapes. They were a wonderful crew, trustworthy and congenial. I paid about $5,000 or less for the downstairs rooms and closets (but part of that was a contractor's fee). I am contracting myself for the upstairs. Still, their work is very high quality. I recommend their dustless refinishing technique to everyone in my neighborhood. "
"We had previously had them put carpet in our family room in 2006, and hardwood throughout our downstairs in 2009 and that looked great and they were very professional. Our stairs and upstairs were still builder grade carpet that was 12 years old and had been through 3 kids. Needless to say, it was shot. We worked with
again, ...more who came and took detailed measurements and quoted out the job. She was upfront that the materials for the stairs were slow to deliver from the factory, and indeed the stairs weren't completed until today, after the rest of the upstairs were completed in mid-June.
Their installers have always been top-notch and laid down excellent hardwoods in terms of seams, finishing details, etc. They even cleaned up some bad gaps in the subflooring that made a noticeable difference. We had had a gap of about 3/8 inch between 2 rooms that they completely evened out, even though they were originally going to have to do a transition piece.
We are super pleased with the outcome and despite their carpet-intensive business name, we can highly recommend their hardwood and vinyl capabilities. My only minor complaint is that we had to follow up on communications sometimes on our end, but they were generally proactive."
