are experts at old house renovation and repair. They have very high standards and they are problem solvers. They usually work on a time and materials basis since old houses are often full of surprises but they are honest and will give you options depending on how historically correct you wish to be. We live in an historic district and they know how to help homeowners navigate the permitting process for making changes to old houses. If you are a stickler for details, these guys know how to bring new life back to your old property and you don't have to look over their shoulders to see that it's done right. They take great pride in their work and have become experts on green renovations."

"He's so good. He is timely and takes time to explain things. He is very thorough, he came out a few times before even working on it. I plan to have him back out for some more projects. He gave me lots of options, he loved to look for cheaper prices and was willing to work with me to help save me money. He took the siding off to do it and he replaced the siding and finished the whole thing in one day. I work third shift and he would try to work with my schedule and accomodate me by coming over when I wake up in the evening. "

"The tile and marble work was to perfection. His wood working is absolute artistry. It is beautiful and he can do anything. He is more fair priced than most builders, especially right now. He does not take a lot of breaks, and he stays until the job is done and he also cleans up."

"I initially hired to remove an ugly metal banister, and replace with a wood banister, near my front stairs. While he was estimating the work for me, we got on the discussion of my floors, and how I had hired a home improvement store to install wood flooring for me. I showed the wood flooring I had ordered, and my plans for installation. Thank Goodness! He set me straight. Not only had I ordered the wrong type of flooring for my home, but the estimate to install was outrageous. offered a re-estimate, returned the flooring FOR ME, and then proceeded to install wood floors throughout my home, for half the cost of the home improvement store. The project took a couple weeks, and of course was a bit chaotic with three young children running around. Every day, when I came home, it was amazing. All work materials were neatly put away, not a speck of dust anywhere. I was so comfortable with and his crew that I actually gave him a key. is truly a craftsman, and I have hired him since to do multiple jobs around my home. He goes above and beyond in his work, and really cares about the final product. He does beautiful cabinetry work too, so now I am saving to hire him to do my kitchen. If you have a project that involves woodworking, is the guy to hire."

"They did a great job. The estimate was fair and complete and when "curve balls" came in that changed the project they were dealt with immediately and to our satisfaction. I had picked out some tile for the floor and once they unpacked it they asked me to double check it and make sure it was what I wanted. The tile was unlike the sample in the store and I was so disappointed. Immediately they packed up the tile, returned it to the store and the next morning went shopping with me and helped me pick out some quality colorful tile at a better vendor. Talk about going the extra mile! We love our new room and will hire for our next project without a doubt."

Even though his was not the lowest bid for the project, I had a recommendation for him from a friend and was glad I went with him. The fit and finish on the basement is top-notch (and even better than the original floors of the house in some aspects). we've been very happy with the basement that we've had for over a year now. It's a great refuge in the fall where we can watch our beloved OSU Buckeyes on football Saturdays. :-)"
