I purchased a Hailun 178 grand piano with
Grand Rapids Piano Movers Provider Name Locked
polish for $21,000 on 8/21/2014. The company warrantied my new piano, provided me with a complimentary tuning and moved it to my house for free. I was impressed with this business for its breadth of knowledge about pianos, its great in-store collection and the friendliness of the staff in helping me select my instrument. I was very happy with how accomodating the movers were in delivering my piano on time and on the same day I purchased it. The piano was completely protected during the move and now sits flawlessly in my living room. I have another older piano that was completely out of tune, so I had the piano tuner tune this one as well for $99. I appreciate how fast it was to buy and receive my piano, and I would definitely recommend
Grand Rapids Piano Movers Provider Name Locked
to anyone looking for a piano tuner, piano mover or a new piano. Another service offered is piano repair, and though I didn't need any repairs, I would definitely trust this business to do the job.

I called three companies to get bids to move the piano. One company never returned my phone call and the other one wanted $80 more for the move than

. I highly recommend this company if you need a piano moved. They are very responsive, professional, courteous, and fair. The crew that moved the piano was super knowledgeable and even gave us tips about placement, etc., since this was our first piano it was great to have their help.

Good call on our part. While the movers had really struggled to even get the piano into the living room with three guys,
Grand Rapids Piano Movers Provider Name Locked
had two experts who moved and assembled the piano in about 30 minutes. They arrived on the dot, were professional, helpful and highly qualified. I was stunned, frankly, at how easy they made it all seem. We are talking about a 7-foot baby grand weighing probably about 600 pounds. Would use them every time.

After a cross country move, the only thing our movers were unable to get into the house was our 6'1" baby grand piano. They left it in the garage and referred me to Death Wish Piano Movers. I gave them a call and they were very responsive on the phone and scheduled my piano move for later that week. The guys showed up on time, were courteous throughout the job, and took care of what needed to be done. They carefully moved the piano out of the garage to the window where it would be craned up to the second story. With great precision they lifted the piano up, through the window and got everything put together without a hitch. It was impressive to watch!

Excellent! I set up an appointment for an estimate of how much it would cost to have "professionals" move my stuff, this was my first time hiring a professional moving company. After it was all done what I paid was less than what I was initially quoted, there were only two men needed for the move so I tipped them $30.00 each, they were so helpful. Throughout the process all of my concerns were addressed as I actually do own some very sentimental pieces of furniture that are priceless to me.

We don't have walkways from the front of the house to the back, just yard that slopes down to a walk in sliding door in the basement, so I thought I would hire a professional to make that move. I found

on Angie's List and the reviews were good. I talked to
Grand Rapids Piano Movers Provider Name Locked
and we set up the appointment. The guys came over today and had the piano moved in less that 15 minutes. I have helped move a piano before and it was a nightmare, but this seemed to be quite a

Also, one of the guys (Pat) is a piano tuner and we will definitely be using him to take care of that in the very near future.
Great job and I highly recommend them.

They arrived on time, moved the piano in about 10 minutes and did an excellent job. I could not have moved this piano, even with help from friends. I will have them move the piano back when the floor is ready.

I called three times, left a message each time, and never received a return call. By reputation, these guys are excellent but good luck on getting in touch with them.

When they --
Grand Rapids Piano Movers Provider Name Locked
, who is the owner of this company, and 2 of this workers -- arrived at the location in Manhattan where the first piano was to be picked up, they called and said it was more difficult a move then they anticipated and that it would cost more.
Grand Rapids Piano Movers Provider Name Locked
said $200 more than original quote (it went from $600 to $800). When I complained he said ok, he would see and get back to me. He didn't and arrived at my house in Brooklyn without further contact. I questioned this and he said it would be $200 more anyway, because it was 'difficult'. The worst part about this experience, however, was that they scratched my hardwood floors in several places (3 scratches, about 6 inches long each) and broke a ceramic tile on my front porch. Additional scratches on doors and door frames also occurred, which I didn't even take issue with, partly because I noticed this later on and was already attempting to deal with the other damages.
I asked
Grand Rapids Piano Movers Provider Name Locked
to fix the floor and tile. He said the scratches weren't 'really' scratches -- with wood floor soap they would

out, he said. He went to the store, brought back soap and wiped this on the floor. The scratches 'disappeared,' only to reappear once the solution dried. As for the cracked tile, this, he insisted, would be fixed by his handyman. He warned me he didn't want to be taken advantage of by using someone he didn't know. However, his handyman with whom I had to deal was a nightmare. He stood me up one day, was unavailable for an entire week, and then ultimately couldn't match the tile. During this time I spent almost 2 weeks trying to get in touch with
Grand Rapids Piano Movers Provider Name Locked
, but he never called me back. When he would answer the phone when I called, he told me he either needed to talk to the handyman or 'think it over.' Ultimately he stopped answering my calls altogether when I told him I wanted a refund of $200 for the scratches on the wood floor and the broken tile. He said he thought this was unfair and complained that the damage happened only as a result of him doing me a 'favor' -- moving the old piano out of my house in Brooklyn and onto the street. This was never a favor but something known about from the beginning and something I contracted him for, so I don't know where he got that.
I feel very taken advantage of. I even said to
Grand Rapids Piano Movers Provider Name Locked
, 'do you promise you'll take care of this and not rip me off," and he said he promised. I even tipped them because I know it was customary and didn't want to insult them before they could fix the problems they caused. Next time, if there is one, I'll go with a big name place that deals with real estimates and contracts in writing and not a one-person operation.

This item was heavy and bulky and required 4 men to move, it made it down a steep stairwell with tight turns and near 0" clearances and no damage to the woodwork, flooring or railings. Amazing work. I'd use them again in a heartbeat.
