Grand Rapids Flooring Installers Reviews

"This summer I oversaw roughly $80,000.00 worth of renovation to our historic and beautiful church. Of all the contractors hired,
Grand Rapids Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
was by far the most conscience, attentive, detailed and actually did everything he said. They even started earlier than promised. If all of the business's followed through with their promised service like
Grand Rapids Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
my summer would have been MUCH easier. I should also note their quote was very reasonable.

"I just wanted to leave a note here about how awesome
Grand Rapids Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
was for us when we were needing an estimate on new floors.
We ended up not using them or getting new floors because of some financial emergencies, but as soon as we can we plan to call them back!
He returned all of our phone calls in a timely manner. He gave us time to actually go to his wholesaler and pick out what we needed and wanted. He looked everything over and shared his knowledge of what was needed and gave us sound advice about how to proceed. His estimate came in well below the "commercial" flooring companies and I trusted him to do the job.
Our only regret is that we couldn't use him at that time, but I will be calling in the near future~

"Provider came out and looked at some floor joists that were sagging. The sagging joist were causing the floor to sink below a wall.
Grand Rapids Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
took some measurements and found out that the joist was over spanned for the size of the joist. He recommended installing two
Grand Rapids Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
posts under each set of sagging joists. His carpenter
Grand Rapids Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
came out and installed the jackposts and cranked the posts until there was a creak.
Grand Rapids Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
will come out once a week over the next few weeks and continue to
Grand Rapids Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
up the posts until the floor is again level. Great work. The floor used to have a 1/4'' gap from the wall and after installation the gap has been reduced to 1/8''. I'm sure in the next few weeks the gap will be reduced even further if not fixed completely. I have some tile floor above the posts and
Grand Rapids Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
wanted to do the jacking slowly overtime to minimize the
Grand Rapids Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
that the tile would crack. All in all I'm very happy with the quality of the work and the solution provided.

"My story would take up more space than I probably am allowed, so to make a long story short, this company was to install a heated tile floor in my modest 1000 sq ft home after leveling my concrete floor to compensate for settling of my concrete slab. What was supposed to take two weeks took six months, during which we were forced to live in a motel as our home was uninhabitable. One avoidable mistake after another occurred, again and again and again.. FOR SIX MONTHS. They continuously tried to "fix' the problems to no avail, and what was required half way through was a complete and total do-over including demolition of all previous work done and the hiring of another, outside company, to level/flatten
Grand Rapids Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
, which is what they should have done from the get-go. I will give the company credit for sticking with the job almost to its completion and to one installer, Nick
Grand Rapids Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
, who saved the day and helped get the job in a professional way doing high quality work. I would hire him again in a heartbeat, but not the company. Ask for him and him alone. The company left us with a dirty floor, complete with grout haze and hard-to-remove caulk lines around the entire perimeter of the home. It is now flat and heated, thanks to Nick and the help of a determined electrician, but,
Grand Rapids Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
now refuses to answer my calls and respond to my requests for information about whether or not they plan to finish the trim work they promised they would. I get nothing but silence. It is now December 2010, and we are still trying to fix problems caused by this project that began in May, 2010, SEVEN MONTHS after this job was initiated. We gave up on the company and are trying to complete the finish work ourselves, which is difficult because I am disabled and my husband works full time. We are basically camping in our home at this point, unable to really move in and settle because of the finish work needing to be done. I would NEVER, EVER work with this company again. Besides installer Nick
Grand Rapids Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
, they have been unprofessional, unapologetic, and have even gone so far as to insinuate that this was somehow our fault. They make excuse after excuse ? that they are very busy, that this is creating financial hardship for them (perhaps do it right the first time next time around???) , and other ridiculousness. They have no understanding of or empathy for how totally disruptive their actions caused our lives to be for seven months, now, and counting. Our only mistake was to work with this company and the contractor who hired them.

was responsive in every way. They were quick to come to measure, quick to submit a quote, and prompt in getting the work done on time and on schedule."

"He and his workers were very hard-working, squeezing us into their busy schedule last minute, (so we could put our house up for sale) and working late into the evening and on Saturday morning to complete the job. He and his workers were polite and honest, and I felt safe having them in our home even while my husband was at work. The basement looks great and his prices were very reasonable!"

"They send the people and they perform the work perfect every time. Each time we used Lowe's they used sub-contractors every time they were professional and we have used these subs for other work around the home. Excellent experience."

"I initially hired
Grand Rapids Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
to remove an ugly metal banister, and replace with a wood banister, near my front stairs. While he was estimating the work for me, we got on the discussion of my floors, and how I had hired a home improvement store to install wood flooring for me. I showed
Grand Rapids Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
the wood flooring I had ordered, and my plans for installation. Thank Goodness! He set me straight. Not only had I ordered the wrong type of flooring for my home, but the estimate to install was outrageous.
Grand Rapids Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
offered a re-estimate, returned the flooring FOR ME, and then proceeded to install wood floors throughout my home, for half the cost of the home improvement store. The project took a couple weeks, and of course was a bit chaotic with three young children running around. Every day, when I came home, it was amazing. All work materials were neatly put away, not a speck of dust anywhere. I was so comfortable with
Grand Rapids Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
and his crew that I actually gave him a key.
Grand Rapids Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
is truly a craftsman, and I have hired him since to do multiple jobs around my home. He goes above and beyond in his work, and really cares about the final product. He does beautiful cabinetry work too, so now I am saving to hire him to do my kitchen. If you have a project that involves woodworking,
Grand Rapids Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
is the guy to hire.

Grand Rapids Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
walked us through everything we wanted and got more information from us. Then they gutted the old tub and vanity, together with a 6-inch bump-out so we could get a 66" tub instead of a standard 60" tub. They installed the new very deep soaking tub, a
Grand Rapids Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
subway tile shower surround with a band of glass accent tiles, which was a pain because the studs were warped and they had to really work to get the concrete backboard straight enough to keep the tiles from going in in wavy or tilted lines. They added bead board wainscoting to a height of 6 feet around the rest of the bathroom, finished by moulding, with a skim-coated new wall surface above (the old walls were damaged because the old wallpaper had been glued directly to the wallboard). Then they installed a new vinyl plank floor (a kind they'd never done before and it's perfect and beautiful) and a new furniture-style vanity with natural granite countertop and under-counter mounted sink, and new satin nickel faucets."

"Went extremely well. From estimate to completion there were no problems. Very professional, prideful in his work, appointments kept, phone calls returned. Quality of work exceptional. Plan on having more work done in the near future and will not hesitate to call him again."
