has done numerous things for us at our home and rental home. He has installed new lighting, repaired drywall/plaster, installed new kitchen sink, faucet, bathroom vanity and faucet, ran electric and installed a new ceiling fixture, built a deck, installed a new door, etc. He does quality work and is very affordable.

The company who installed my Granite Countertops is no longer around so I was directed to the Home Builders Association where I found this company. I called
. to ask if they were able to reinstall my double stainless steel kitchen sink which was falling out from under my granite countertops. When the sink started to fall out I jammed a support under the garbage disposal to keep it from crashing down and ripping out the plumbing. I called my handyman who temporarily shored up the sink with wood supports to keep it from falling completely out, but the adhesive (which the original installers assured me "held airplanes together and would never come off") had completely pulled away from the granite. His work kept the plumbing from ripping out of the wall and kept the sink up and usable until I could arrange for an expert to come in.

I called
. Both of the people I talked to on the phone, the receptionist and the installer (I think
) were friendly and confident and assured me this was a common problem that they frequently repair. I explained to the installer that the old adhesive would need to be removed from the sink and the sink reglued but that additional support would be needed to keep this from happening in the future. He stated that they also put a metal
, attached to the cabinets, to support the sink from beneath. He said he could come out within 24 hours.

Because I could not be at home when they arrived I had my mother, a retired schoolteacher, let them in the house.
, the younger of the men was mocking and both installers spent a good deal of time making fun of the emergency repair my handyman had done to keep my sink usable.

What I wanted was the sink removed, the old adhesive removed, and the sink reglued and bracketed to keep this from happening again.

What I got was a single metal support under the sink held into each side of the cupboard with 2 small wood screws, metal brackets that are not flush with the wall, a gouge in the finish on the inside of my cupboard, a bead of silicone run around the rim of the sink and a sink (that worked fine before they worked on it) that now leaks.

My sink is a heavy double stainless one, the garbage disposal is the most heavy duty one available, and I actually cook in my kitchen, frequently filling the sink with heavy pots and pans and Gallons of Water (at 8 pounds a
). The only thing holding all this up is 4 wood screws.

I called
. and was directed to
who was very condescending, sighing dramatically when I asked him if they had glued the sink in (they did not) and saying "I LOVE when I have to explain things to people."
insisted this would hold. They had left a paper that stated their workmanship would be under warranty for a year, so I asked that if it did not hold would that be covered under that warranty? He said "No" because they did not do the original installation.

When I said I was not satisfied with the job he asked me what I wanted. I said "the sink installed correctly." he offered to come out and put another
on the back of the sink and charge me AGAIN. Since they tore up the inside of the cabinet and performed such shoddy workmanship I did not feel it was wise to throw good money after bad, so did not take him up on his offer.

I have not received my bill so do not know how much this cost, but the point is I wanted a good job, one that would last, not a cheap and fast one. This job is not in keeping with the quality of workmanship in my home.

I still have a leaking sink held up by 4 wood screws and do not know where to go next

The sales person was very nice. They came out with in two days. They were very helpful in giving idea's which we really liked. The other thing we liked was that they gave a estimate at the same time. That was very helpful as we did not have to wait until later to get the estimate.
The one thing that we did not like was that they did not have a plumber to do the plumbing work.
We also thought the price was higher than most but is a good product.
We are looking to do our bathroom now Aug, 2011 and they have come out again, with the same profesonel service . I think it would be helpful from their point of view if they did offer the plumbing service .

The representatives from
Grand Rapids Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
came promptly after our call of inquiry. They provided samples for what we were considering and we agreed to use their services. They told us a date (in writing) they would start and finish, and stuck to those dates. The quality of their work is excellent and any concerns we had in the process were immediately addressed. The bulk of the job was done within three days, and the work was done cleanly and with care. (I actually saw one worker with a hand vacuum he used right along with the sawing he was doing. I never had to empty any cupboards or drawers to clean before, during, or after the project.) Along the way, we decided to ask for handles for our cupboard doors. Again, samples were quickly produced and installed along with the other work the very next day. This is an excellent company and each craftsman really knows his specialty. The personal attention given to us and our project by

walked us through everything we wanted and got more information from us. Then they gutted the old tub and vanity, together with a 6-inch bump-out so we could get a 66" tub instead of a standard 60" tub. They installed the new very deep soaking tub, a

subway tile shower surround with a band of glass accent tiles, which was a pain because the studs were warped and they had to really work to get the concrete backboard straight enough to keep the tiles from going in in wavy or tilted lines. They added bead board wainscoting to a height of 6 feet around the rest of the bathroom, finished by moulding, with a skim-coated new wall surface above (the old walls were damaged because the old wallpaper had been glued directly to the wallboard). Then they installed a new vinyl plank floor (a kind they'd never done before and it's perfect and beautiful) and a new furniture-style vanity with natural granite countertop and under-counter mounted sink, and new satin nickel faucets.

In both cases they were willing to give us plenty of sample pieces to bring home and take a look at. They are very good at making valuable and reasonable recommendations on color, style, etc. From start to finish it was beautifully done and on schedule.

They were a little expensive however they installed a good countertop. I did think that they could have done a little better on the installation but overall I am pleased. They were nice to work with and responsive to any questions that I had.

This company took too long to complete the job. The countertops are now falling apart on me. And they will not come out and fix them. They were very polite while in our home but now they will not work with us.
