Flooring Reviews in Fort Lauderdale

I submitted an online inquiry for an estimate, and
notified me that their minimum installation charge would apply to my kitchen because of the small area - I was certainly OK with that and understood where they are coming from. I visited the showroom and
was very helpful in helping me pick out attractive flooring that did not break the budget. I explained to her what I was looking for, and she allowed me to take home a sample to see how it looked in my kitchen. The free measurements were completed shortly thereafter (may have been next day?). From the date I gave them the go-ahead, they were booked solid for a week, but came out first-thing the next Monday to install. My home was recently put on the
, and during a Broker's Open House, the most commented item was on the kitchen floor - everyone loved it! Overall, a very nice experience with

They said it'd take two days but they sent out and extra worker and got it done in one day. They did a good job and I am satisfied. Only complaints (and they are minor) are that they left little piles of nails and water bottles around, and left their large, wheeled waste container full of construction debris in my driveway for weeks, and even after I made several calls to them, never came back to retrieve it. None-the-less, it was important that they do the work on the day they promised as we were moving in and the old carpets were flithy and doggy (and we have allergies) and the moving van was coming to deliver a house full of stuff. The workers lived up to their word and did a very nice job. The guys were all great to deal with, too. Would use them again.

Flooring reviews in Fort Lauderdale

I found
Fort Lauderdale Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
on Google and after having gotten several other quotes from a few other companies in town. Each of the others I went to, I did not get the "warm and fuzzy " that tells you this is the right thing. I then went to Angies list and had found
Fort Lauderdale Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
again. (good sign) with so many great reviews. Then I was chatting with a friend and she had also used him and raved about it. So, I was sold.
I went to the showroom with my sample of what I needed to match and
Fort Lauderdale Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
was able to match it almost exactly. I say almost because the color and grain was perfect but the quality was better. I showed him the sample, and he said yes I have this, went to a stack of boards and pulled out the exact piece.
He was very knowledgeable about product, soundproofing and materials. There were several other repeat customers there as well who also were raving about him to me ( must have been obvious I was new to hiring a contractor on my own.
The installer came with a helper, were on time ,and finished in a timely manner. Super clean and very nice. (even loaned me a drill/screwdriver)
I have since used him in our house for new carpeting and already recommended
Fort Lauderdale Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
to a friend.

I have used
Fort Lauderdale Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
since 2011 to completely renovate three bathrooms, install engineered hardwood in 4 bedrooms and now to replace all the tile on the remaining floors in my house.

Obviously, I am pleased with his work and price or else I wouldn't continue using him. Additionally, I plan on using him to install backsplashes in my kitchen when my cabinets are refaced in a couple of weeks.

On this particular job, we looked at floor tile at all the usual subjects, HD, Lowe's, Major tile distributor and then went to
Fort Lauderdale Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
where we are able to pick a tile within 1/2 hour.

Install started on Monday, 4/7 with removal of all furniture to be stored in our garage and out of the way. Tuesday and 3/4 day Wednesday, was the tear-out.
Fort Lauderdale Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
warned us that this is a messy job and dust would be everywhere. However, his crew taped up all the doors to the rooms not being worked on and with the AC turned off at the breaker, the amount of dust that got into the other rooms was minimal.

Thursday through the following Friday (excluding the weekend), the tile was laid grouted and cleaned. On Saturday, the baseboards were installed and on Monday, his crew came back to move the furniture back in. On Tuesday the 22nd,he had a cleaning person come in to dust and clean the areas where work was performed.

Fort Lauderdale Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
told us up-front to allow 3 days for the furniture and removal with the total job taking 11 to 12 business days. He was spot on. The floor is beautiful and his crews are truly artists.

As an addendum, I received quotes from three different providers (I like
Fort Lauderdale Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
, but I also want to make sure I am getting a reasonable price). There was one low-ball which I dismissed and he was right in line with another very highly rated Angie's List provider. having used
Fort Lauderdale Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
in the past, it was no contest. I highly recommend him for all flooring needs and bathroom remodeling. His crews are the neatest and cleanest I have ever come across.

This was a more difficult job than either
Fort Lauderdale Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
or myself anticipated. My home is 90 years old with original oak flooring. It had been refurbished once over 20 years ago so was in dire need of a redo. An undertaking like this is not for the faint of heart. There was dust everywhere. Fortunately, I rented a pod for storage and emptied the house entirely. We camped out in our guest house during the process.
Fort Lauderdale Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
was attentive to my many requests. The stain chosen was pickled white. It was absorbed differently in areas. A second application was required to fix the problem. The same thing happened with the seal coat. Again
Fort Lauderdale Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
fixed the problem.
The end result was that I now have a gleaming soft white wood floor that is consistent throughout my house. I would use
Fort Lauderdale Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
Corporation again. Thank you

Dealing with this company proved to be frustrating, irritating and stressful. Sure, the president,
Fort Lauderdale Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked

Fort Lauderdale Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
, behaved professionally at first, when it came to writing the estimate, sending his workers here on time, and collecting payment. With all the tile installers out there, I asked
Fort Lauderdale Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
what set him apart from the others. He said he was the only one who guaranteed all work and materials for two years.
So when the job was finished and his workers had left, I found several areas where they had neglected to grout. That’s when the “fun” began. I must have called and emailed
Fort Lauderdale Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
a dozen times, without the courtesy of a reply. To get him to pick up my calls, I finally had to resort to hiding my phone no. when I called. After hours of aggravation and annoyance, at long last, I
got my flooring finished.
I must add that when
Fort Lauderdale Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
brought the contract for me to sign, I noticed he had "forgotten" to include his 2-year warranty on labor and materials, and I asked him to write it in. He did so, then left with it, telling me he’d photocopy it and send it to me. I’m still waiting for that version, though he finally sent me one with his handwritten clause stating "limited two year guarantee."
There are lots of installers whose work is of equal or superior quality. So there’s really no reason to do business
with this one.

shFrom the day we met
Fort Lauderdale Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
Fort Lauderdale Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
at the store we were happy with the way we were
treated. When the actual work began things were even better than expected. The work was completed
in on day and it is great. We love our floors! the men were great and the cleanup was very good !
the laundry room also was the same story, great.
We had a great experience and recommend them to anyone who wants a great job.

Terrible, I would not do business with them ever again.
Fort Lauderdale Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
, the owner, underestimated our square footage required by 20% even when provided with measured drawings. We liked the floor so we accepted the additional charge over the contracted price. The installers were sub-contractors who showed up with very few tools, no broom and no garbage bags. They had a table saw with a very dull blade that burned most of the cuts and left us with very few straight seams or cuts. The transitions at doorways were awful and I had them stop the work and completed the doorways properly myself.
Fort Lauderdale Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
fraudulently charged our credit card for the remainder of the balance before the work had even started without our authorization or notification.
Fort Lauderdale Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
claimed he refunded our credit card after we paid him by check at the completion (?) of the job, but it took the Fraud Division from our credit card company to force him to refund the credit card 11 days after he said he had.
Fort Lauderdale Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
is difficult to deal with, speaks very fast and interrupts any conversation. He actually wanted us to return to the store and sign some sort of credit refund receipt before he would return the unauthorized charge, this after charging our card with no such signatures.

This was without question the worst contractor I have ever used. They were so awful at coordination and logistics I ultimately fired them before they ever installed the new floors. This occurred based on the following set of experiences:
12/1: New floors ordered at Home Depot. I was specific that I needed installation completed on 12/27 due to holiday plans and guests.
Fort Lauderdale Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
calls me to introduce themselves. I attempt to confirm the install date. I am advised that they do not confirm installation until the wood has been received by Home Depot. After several calls I get this resolved and confirm the install date.
12/5: My condo association requires architectural modification documents and samples of sound mitigating materials. I contact USIG and advise them that this is a very tight turn and we need to get this information to my building ASAP. I email UGIG the application packet with all of my sections completed. I am assured they will have it into my building within "the next couple of days."
12/17: Floors arrive at Home Depot. I call my building to assure the install has been approved so I can have the floors delivered. I am advised that USIG has sent no information. I call USIG to check in. They say the paperwork will be there "tomorrow."
12/18: I call my building. No paperwork. I now have the floors scheduled to be delivered on 12/20 and cannot have them delivered without building approval.
12/19: No paperwork. I am assured by USIG that the paper work will be in before the delivery arrives the next day.
12/20: No paperwork. I have now called USIG twice daily for the last few days and they have done nothing to act.
My floors are scheduled to be installed on 12/27. On 12/26 I call my building to verify that everything has been completed.....still no paperwork from USIG and installation is not approved. I call USIG multiple times. I am told that the paperwork is sitting in their
compliance department and that they are "out of the office due to the holidays and will not be back until tomorrow." The PROMISE me the paperwork will be in before the installation team arrives.
12/27: Installer arrives, no paperwork. I call USIG they promise it by 10am...nothing. I call back...the promise it by 11am...nothing. I call back. They promise it in 30 minutes...nothing. FINALLY, at 12:05pm the paperwork is emailed to my building...incomplete. I finally send the the install team away.
The general manager of USIG then calls me and attempts to blame everything on the Home Depot. When I asked why is took 3 1/2 weeks and countless calls to have them complete routine paperwork they had no answer. I advised him that install would not occur until I worked things out with the Home Depot but they sent and installer anyway on Monday. I sent him away as I now had guests in my home and was not willing to have my floors torn apart with guests in the house.
I will NEVER allow these people in my home again.

On 10/7/13, the design plans for my kitchen were finalized and approved. That same day,
Fort Lauderdale Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
told me he thought the job would be completed in two weeks. On 10/8, my existing kitchen was demolitioned. It has now been 11 weeks and I still don't have a functioning kitchen. I've done nothing short of beg
Fort Lauderdale Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
to finish the job, and each time he commits to a new completion date. I'm now at my wit's end - I've been lied to so many times and feel completely taken advantage of.
Day after day I've been promised that there would be a crew working at my condo all day, only to come home to the disappointing fact that nothing had been done. On the rare occasion someone did show up, the installation has been both dangerous and shoddy. For weeks, there were many jagged metal edges exposed - I told
Fort Lauderdale Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
it was dangerous and asked him on several occasions to address the situation. Even after I cut my arm on one of the edges he couldn't be bothered to fix the problem. The new cabinets are damaged and do not line up properly, not to mention the fact that there not the cabinets I ordered in the first place.
One of the reasons I selected
Fort Lauderdale Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
was because
Fort Lauderdale Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
showed me documentation of accreditation and an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. However, I just checked and it shows that there is no BBB rating for
Fort Lauderdale Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
and that they're currently under review.
I really just want to have my kitchen completed and I hate feeling like I'm going to have to take legal action to make that happen.
