The day of my surgery I was required to report 2 hours early (I was having a local anestheic) and I spent aproximately 1.5 hours sitting in the waiting room until my turn came. I was taken back to the pre/post-op area which was full of patients waiting their turn or in recovery after surgery. There was no privacy to speak of. If I had been under a general I probably wouldn't have cared too much about that. The environment felt very harried. I was rushed out of there as soon as I was released because they needed the "bed". The surgery seemed to go well but I've been having a lot of hand pain and so far have been unsuccessful in getting into see Dr.
again. I am repeatedly reminded of how busy he is. I specifically asked that my follow-up be with him but when I got to the 2 week appointment I was told I'd bee seeing his P.A. Overall, this is a practice that seems very efficient in treating hands but not the people attached to them. It's clear to me that the Drs. time is considered paramount to mine everytime I go in there. In my opinion, they severely overbook patients appointments. I may have just had a string of bad luck but unfortunately, these experiences are my only frame of references for this practice.

Office staff was very friendly, Dr.
saw me on a Friday and immediatly knew I needed surgery. I was scheduled for surgery the follow Wednesday without any delays. Dr.
performed the surgery and I began my recovering phase. Physical therapy was hard and at times painful but totally worth it. I have full function of my finger and full sensation. I am very pleased with the office staff, Dr.
and my wonderful outcome.

Hand Care reviews in Detroit

I had seen other doctors in the practice for other conditions, so I did not need a lot of tests done when I saw Dr.
Detroit Carpal Tunnel Provider Name Locked
. He took a thorough history about my carpal tunnel symptoms, and I appreciate that I did not have to go through a battery of tests, as I had been fending this off for almost 20 years. He explained the procedure very well and answered all my questions. I was and remain very pleased with his knowledge, expertise and bedside manner, and most importantly with the results of the surgery. The incision on each wrist was very small, and after a year or so, nearly impossible to see. After the powerful numbing agent wore off, the pain was comparatively minimal. The recovery time with this endoscopic surgery was markedly faster than for those I know who had the open release surgery. The bandages come off in 3 days, and after that only a band-aid is needed for about a week. Down time was 12 - 16 days, though hand function returns progressively starting a few days after the surgery. I was very pleased with the procedure, including the anaesthetic, recovery, and the results. I wish I could say the same for the outpatient clinic where the surgery was done. The post-op visits were thorough and easy to schedule. Post-op OT is available on site, if needed. I have not had any subsequent problems. I would return to Dr.
Detroit Carpal Tunnel Provider Name Locked
if I ever need more hand surgery. I have recommended him to others and will continue to do so.

contacted my husband at home himself and was able to fit my husband into his schedule for surgery a few hours later that same day. He was a very nice man and seemed to be a very pleasant doctor. He came in and checked up on my husband before releasing him home after the his surgery.

in for a followup appointment the next morning immediately after she'd been seen at the hospital urgent care unit. Their assessment and attentiveness was remarkable. As an Internist,

needed to regain use of her right hand and wrist as soon as possible. Three courses of action were proposed. The options were outlined by a surgeon who had no stake in the actual surgery. She elected the surgical option with the insertion of pins to correct the angulation and stabilize the wrist so as to return to work.

I was given an appointment in three weeks, and actually scheduled it following my husbands appointment. Dr
Detroit Carpal Tunnel Provider Name Locked
did a thorough check over on my husband, and then examined my problem. He explained exactly what the problem was, and what he could do. I opted for the injection, which he did at this very appointment. He explained the procedure totally before he did it. When he brought out this huge needle I was a little anxious, but still offered him my thumb. He added in some humor which made things easier, and honestly, I hardly felt the injection. He told me what to expect, and how to know if it wasn't going to be successful. Dr

then explained what would need to be done if this procedure did not help. The procedure was successful, and my insurance covered it all. I was very satisfied with the care I received there.

The surgery went as planned and I was discharged with very detailed and particular instructions. PT follow-up was scheduled right away, and I received excellent subsequent care on my next visit. I healed up according to plan, though I had to be reassured a couple of times to give it time. I was back to my "farm" chores withina couple of weeks (light duty) and spent the rest of my time continuing PT at home. I am always please with Dr.

Detroit Carpal Tunnel Provider Name Locked
has very good bedside manner. He listens well, and adapted his treatment to the special needs of my mother, who is in her 80s. They patiently cast the wrist a few times, trying to find a method that she could tolerate. The entire clinic staff was knowledgeable, considerate and patient. It has been a few months, and his conservative treatment seems to have been the best approach.

I've been there a number of different times and they are excellent. All of the doctors we have seen were excellent. we've seen them since 1980 and we've never had a bad doctor there. We would definitely recommend them for any sports related injuries including skiing or automobile accidents where an orthopedic person is needed. They are great. It is a pleasant facility, to the extent that health facilities re pleasant. The facilities are clean and spacious. They are prompt in their appointments. Their staff, including the x-
