We have a small backyard addition being built about 10 feet wide by 20 feet long with a covered outdoor area.
came in and designed a beautiful layout for a patio that completely surrounded the addition. The one continuous pour provides a walking area from our side gate out around the end of the addition back under our new covered area and stops at our new back door. It is grey colored concrete stamped to look like stone with a border of contrasting color.
also incorporated two corners that sweep to a point so the patio is not just a square slab. Results are great looking and complement two other stamped patios that were put in a few years ago. The new patio butts up against one of the old patios so
incorporated a step down from the new to the old. It is seamless and beautiful. A big part of the job was removing dirt and debris and leveling the area. All work was done quickly as possible and cleanup afterwards was above and beyond.
did a small retaining wall years ago for us and it has withstood the shoving of dirt and heavy equipment used to make way for the removal of a huge stump and excavation for a slab foundation. He even carried the stones to an empty field across the street to be cut, so the dust stayed off the neighbors and my house. We would not hesitate to use
in the future and even the men finishing our addition remarked how nice it looks. Payment was $1000 deposit, the remainder when job was done to customers satisfaction. Plenty fair in my opinion.
We highly recommend
and would like to remind members that they do all kinds of stonework, not just stamped concrete.

We hired
to resurface our pool deck and the outside of our spa, as well as install a French drain. We were impressed with
's confidence in being able to do a great job and make our pool deck look terrific and be funcitional. We received five quotes from various contractors before choosing
. His price was right in the middle and he could get started quickly. With his stellar Angie's list and BBB ratings, we signed a contract and were excited to see our new pool deck. We were away on Spring Break when they were able to finally get started, though my parents were there to oversee it. My mother called to express concern that the French drain was being installed at a distance of over 3 feet from the side of the house which is where the water gathers, rather than next to the house as we had agreed upon. I talked with
and he assured me that he would build up the area where the water pooled against the house so that the water would run towards the drain. This sounded a little difficult to accomplish to me since we have accordion shutters there and it appeared to me that it would be tough to build it up enough with the shutters located where they are. But
was very confident that it would all work out. After they were finished I loved the look of my deck and the back of the spa was gorgeous! However, at the first rain, we had the exact same standing water as before even though
had installed an expensive French drain and "built it up" so the water would supposedly run appropriately. I called him to let him know about the problem. He came out to check out the problem and then sent someone to "fix" it. Due to weather, etc, they didn't come when they initially planned, and showed up on a day when I wasn't home. Imagine my surprise when I came out to my pool deck to find 2 inch diameter
ALL over my pool deck, where our best guess is they drug the machine they had used to grate down the surface in order to build it back up. These
are ALL over. Besides looking bad, the integrity of the surface is compromised and is no longer sealed. I called
once more and he eventually came to check them out. He told me they were "heel
" that sometimes show up. They are NOT heel
. They were not there before the man came to "fix" the French drain issue. Heel
don't just show up in the middle of the day one day and heel
don't take off the paint and sealant. The surface has been scraped and it's like the person was dragging this thing around the pool deck and was completely unaware that it was marring the surface. Not only are there these
, THE WATER STILL STANDS!!! And the parts that they "built up" to try to fix the drainage problem (which didn't fix anything at all) weren't ever fully painted or sealed.
said they would come back and take care of it and we haven't seen or heard from him since. My husband has called at least 5 times and was convinced that "
was a good guy and that he would call us back and take care of the problem" but the job was done in March and April and we still have had NO return calls (as of
!). I also called and tried to talk to him, but
doesn't answer our calls. We are not complainers and had been very flexible with them and had let them come when they could as they worked around other jobs. It ended up taking much longer than they had initially said it would and we never once complained. We are highly disappointed and didn't ask for anything except for the job to finished and done correctly.
even told me that they put the drain where they did because it was easier so that they wouldn't have to "mess with the screen enclosure". And not to get nit-picky, but a stone on the spa has already detached as well. Every time I go out to the pool deck, I feel sick to my stomach at the mess that was made of it and the huge amount of money we threw out the window.
seemed like a nice guy and I trusted him. Before the first rain (when we saw the water pooling everywhere) we were singing his praises and thought the deck looked great. After seeing the pools of water, we still trusted that he would fix the problem. Even after the massacre of the deck by their grinding machine, we still believed that he would somehow make it right. On all fronts we were mistaken. We would highly advise you not to use his services. We are still hoping that the phone will ring and that he will rectify the problem. If so, we will definitely let you know.

We are very pleased.

responded promptly to our initial request and did everything he promised from that point on. He & his helper arrived on time everyday and worked non-stop. We knew going in that concrete is unpredictable in how it responds to stain. When the acid based stain revealed some flaws,
Detroit Stamped Concrete Companies Provider Name Locked
was ready with a solution. He applied a water based stain - an extra step in work & time - no extra charge. He takes great pride in the finished product and will do whatever it takes to achieve a near perfect result. The front porch was stained & scored in a brick pattern - it looks just like a

tile job. The patio is beautiful in a dark brown stain(a special

blend) with a black border(another

GOOD at first until i had some concerns
Detroit Stamped Concrete Companies Provider Name Locked
never returned my phone calls or my emails she just ignored me!!! i had some questions regarding the patio after it was installed she told me she would be out next week> she never called or showed up. I had sprinkler heads sticking out of the ground i had to say something to them. Now after the fact i have to get someone to reroute my down spout or the water will flood my flower bed. I would have thought these are the types of things they could suggest to the customer on what to do about. One day they were leaving and these guys spoke to my father about the plans of returning tomorrow and what needed to be done that night and my father was sitting in garage pretty much sleeping (whom was dying condition) had no clue what these people were saying to him. I come out after i noticed they were done and they leave without speaking to me!! I was trying to ask my dad what they said but my dad had no clue. I was the customer not my father!!! The original plan i got taken!
Detroit Stamped Concrete Companies Provider Name Locked
measured to the end of house and gave me estimate on that!!! but then when
Detroit Stamped Concrete Companies Provider Name Locked
came out and remeasured before starting work he says the original measure did not cover at end of house so i had to pay extra for them going to the end of house which i feel was not right!! I did understand paying the extra for the additional i added after the fact. I was happy at first which is why i chose them, i had 5 different companies come out but now i feel they do everything to get your business then once they have your money then you are nothing they don't have to respond to questions or deal with you in any way!!!

Our cool-deck is 11 years old and is a series of 12 irregularly shaped separate pods of varying sizes that take up most of an over-sized backyard. The surface had deteriorated in several places to expose large areas of the original concrete.
Detroit Stamped Concrete Companies Provider Name Locked
arrived to provide an estimate and discussed the details of the job thoroughly. He also arranged for us to meet at a nearby location that he had recently completed so we could see an actual job rather than just viewing a photo gallery. The job took five days and was prepped well. It involved excavating rocks from between the pods so that they could get to the entire pod and removing the original surface (two days). Surprisingly, there was very little dust left behind from all of the grinding away. They covered the rim of the pool and you couldn't tell that anything entered the pool itself even though they hauled out approximately 7 large trash bags of the old surface and it all hugs the pool. They applied texturing (two days) to the renovated surface. On Day 5, they applied the stain and two coats of sealer and relocated the rocks back between the pods. We were presented with a board showing about 9 different colors to work with and, instead, I spoke with
Detroit Stamped Concrete Companies Provider Name Locked
about trying to match the color to the flagstone surrounding the pool and fireplace. He said they could match it and to disregard the color board as they would create a custom color set. This was the only area of criticism in that there was miscommunication as we expected to have finished sample boards to choose from to approve and, instead, the sample was created on the spot so we only saw one. To their credit, they hit the

on the color and not only does it match the flagstone but the texturing jumps out with a blend of colors --- this covers practically the entire yard so its a big deal for this to look good and it does. The crew arrived on time each day and kept the work area neat when they left.

Thank you
Detroit Stamped Concrete Companies Provider Name Locked
, I was referred to you by my brother who has done 2 jobs by you in the last 10 years. I still shopped around and you were more expensive, but now I know why, it's so true you get what you pay for. You educated us, we checked the information you gave us and you were right about everything. We did have to wait about 6 weeks for install, but WOW, was it worth it. Thank you, we will happily refer you to all of our friends and neighbors.

recently installed a concrete overlay on the floor in our entry and 4 connecting rooms. We chose the “natural” color vs. adding a stain and had it sealed with a two-part sealer. This home was built in 1959 with a 1979 garage conversion; the floors in these adjoining rooms were very irregular to say the least…uneven, various surfaces, etc. Now they are smooth, consistent, and beautiful.

met with me twice to discuss the options, explain the process, and help me be clear on the choices. He is extremely prompt and responsive by email which made communicating easy, effective and efficient. He clearly and concisely answered my many questions, was considerate, and professional. The

team as a whole is also professional, considerate, hard-working, and prompt. After initially completing the overlay, they assessed it and determined it didn’t quite meet their standards so immediately began the process to reseal the floor which gave it the quality outcome they wanted to deliver.
