"The key criteria I looked for when selecting someone to refinish my floors were: a proven track record, experience to handle the snags that might arise, attention to detail to get the job done right and customer relation skills to make working with them a breeze. I received quotes from Oak Leaf Hardwood Floors, Aboveboard Enterprises, and . Although all three vendors met most of my criteria, was the only one that met all of my criteria making them the easy choice.
It is abundantly clear in ?s work that he takes pride in everything he does. He spent extra time ensuring that every detail was done right and that the finished product was of exceptional quality. His demeanor and professionalism made him delightful to work with. Coming from someone that finds errors for a living, I have no reservations saying that and his team are top notch and anyone that chooses them will be more than pleased with the results."

"What stood out the most was the company?s ability to problem solve in our older home and the details in the kitchen cabinetry. They were very prompt and very open and responsive to discussion and questions. "

"We originally approached for cabinetry work in our loft, however, after looking at his comprehensive portifolio the project ballooned from one to seven! Although cabinetry is his bread and butter, he is quite the -of-all-trades.
is very different from your typical cabinet maker. I can tell you from experience because I had a different cabinet maker build my custom entertainment center prior to discovering . All this guy did was ask me to draw a picture of what I wanted and pick a stain sample - that was it. had a more holistic approach. He actually provided printed design CAD samples to modify. Most importantly, he provided valuable input during the design phase. During the construction, several issues arose, but I was not worried because he always found a solution. This demonstrates one of his many strenghts - attention to detail, resourcefullness, punctuality, communication and overall excellent professional attitude. So far we are very pleased with his work and will update this entry as he completes the remaing projects."

"He takes into account unknowns and works with the client until it?s right. He?s always checking in to ensure the work was to our satisfaction. And when it wasn?t, he or his subcontractors fixed it or did it over. Case in point ? we weren?t happy with the texture job when we came home after work. He had the drywallers sand it down and in redo parts until we were happy with the look.
Speaking of his subcontractors, they were all superior with the exception of his plumber. The electricians were spot on with their work and they easily passed the inspector?s visits. At our request the job was completely permitted by the city of Denver. The flooring guys were awesome ? diligent, no nonsense, tidy, and quick. Best of all, the hard wood floor came out looking awesome. The drywallers/framers were great. They had their work cut out for them replicating a tricky arch that was used through out the house, and even hard yet, the matched a texture pattern that?s no longer used in modern construction (ours is 65 year old house). The granite counter top people did a great job and the counter top is beautiful. The plumber did an ok job but his work was not to the same quality standards as his other contractors and his punctuality and availability left something to be desired. The cabinet designer was very thorough in her design and ordered everything that was needed for the job. She was extremely detail oriented and it showed in the final product. The painters did a great job even though they used paint of our choosing (Bher) which was subpar to their usual paint of choice ( ). Finally, the cabinet installer, , did a great job installing the cabinets perfectly (not easy task with a lath and plaster ceiling and brick and stucco outer wall) and custom building some of the cabinetry. also took over as project manager when was called away out town on a family emergency. served as go-between at the end of the project to make sure all the contractors finalized their work to our satisfaction. In short, has really found some great subcontractors to work with, minus the plumber. They were punctual, trustworthy, polite, and very good at what they respectively do.
worked the schedule he originally provided very well. There were a couple of delays in job due to some family issues with one of his subcontractors but besides that everything went like clockwork. Given the extent of the job, everyone is amazed that this job was done in three weeks.
There are a couple of negatives ? the plumber was hard to get a hold of and risked blowing the schedule for everyone else. The framers left a bit of a mess in the attic but I?m sure only a type A personality like me would be bothered by something like that. And lastly, the counter top people put the project 2 days behind schedule due to a family issue (it?s a family run business).
To summarize, was very easy to work with, had great ideas, and really knows his business. He?s a great communicator (critical I?ve found to remodel projects) and let us know exactly what to provide (we bought some of the stuff on our own) and by when, and was always available to deal with issues or questions. His payment schedule was also very reasonable. Although his estimate was not the lowest, we were willing to pay a little extra to ensure the job was done right and we weren?t hit with a bunch of costs. This was a pleasurable experience (as pleasurable as a kitchen remodel can possibly be) but most importantly, the kitchen came out perfectly and we owe that to ."

"Gorgeous work. Excellent contract; best we've ever worked with. Did what he said when he said he would, charged exactly what he estimated with the exception of things we added after the job was started. Can't say enough good things about and his work."

"I gave an idea of the layout of the cabinets and he was very helpful in suggesting things to make it better. I showed him a couple photos of kitchens I liked and a special cabinet with open shelves and turned legs I wanted. He was able to take that information, discuss ideas with me and build exactly what I wanted. He was very helpful and patient as my ideas evolved, with his help,to the final design. All the cabinets, and even the doors for the walnut ones, were custom made in his shop. They are beautiful. He kept all his appointments along the way and was very professional and easy to work with. He worked well with the other subs on the project and kept us all well informed along the way. The cabinets are truly gorgeous, with all the extras like soft close drawers and a rack, and it cost just about the same amount as cabinets of quality from a big national cabinet company. He Custom built a piece of walnut wood furniture with shelving and turned legs at the end of the Kitchen Island. He ?finished? the woodwork. He built the legs and kickplates. He also built and installed the trim work.

"We contacted Cliff because we wanted to get bookshelves built along one whole wall of our living room, on either side of the fireplace. We did not have a very good idea of what exactly we wanted. Cliff was extremely helpful in showing us different options and helping us figure out the best way to build the shelves. At first we developed a fairly elaborate plan that included cabinets, glass-doors and various custom features. Cliff up a beautiful design, with lots of attention to details, both functional and aesthetic. The quote he gave us was very reasonable given the amount of work involved, but we decided it was beyond our budget. Cliff then agreed to come over again and draw up a scaled-back version of the design, which is basically two walls of built-in shelves, from floor to ceiling. He did all this preliminary work for free and happily accommodated our back-and-forth decision process. Cliff built the shelves and finished them in his workshop, then put them up in our house in one day of work. He arrived exactly on time, worked all day and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. I should add that our house is very old and the surfaces (walls, floor, ceiling) are uneven and sloped, which made his work even more challenging. The finished product is beautiful and we couldn't be happier with the results. Despite our lopsided house, the shelves look perfectly straight, without any gaps and they are extremely sturdy. Cliff was extremely professional, helpful, friendly and the quality of his work is outstanding. In fact, his talents were probably wasted on a job like our bookshelves, but we hope to commission some more unusual furniture from him in the future, as soon as we can afford to. I recommend without any hesitation."
