Didn't bring product with him, but then only stayed for 45 mins, as opposed to the ~2 hours we endured with every other salesperson. We had already narrowed our replacement window material choice to fiberglass and fiberglass composites, so we requested a bid on Milgard Ultra,

100 series, and

Integrity All Ultrex. His bid on all 3 lines was the most competitive. If you have already decided on one of these products, you ought to contact Rod. Additionally, he visited on a Friday evening, and had the quote to us by email within 5 days. As of this writing, there were 2 contractors who had yet to submit their bids (now more than 3 weeks!). Ultimately, we decided on a product that Rod doesn't carry."

"Champion was the only company I found that would manufacture the door with the insert and warranty it. home Depot and other companies would work with a pet door company to put in a pet door but the warranty would be invalidated. I believe Champion is very aware of this and so they charge an awful lot, especially since your aren't getting the same glass! ...more With the windows, they started higher than some other companies and it wasn't until I submitted a written quote from Home Depot that they would beat the price (and only by $100, not enough to tempt me!). I'm sure the company thinks their salesman is good at making them money, and from their perspective I'm sure he does a great job. I felt rather pressured by him and could tell he was irritated by my considering Home Depot. I preferred the Home Depot (At Home Services) salesman (

) and no bargaining bottom line quote hands down. I had no choice but to go with Champion for the door (which by the way, works great except the screen immediately came out of the track. They will not be out to fix it until mid Sept.) but I am going with Home Depot for the windows. The installation went well - one guy, half a day to put in. The salesman is supposed to come out today and give me the warranty and check out the installation (about 1 month after the install - but I already had to call about the screen!) I do like the locking system (although the lock turns opposite to the way you would expect) and double flap on the doggy door. It was just the buying process I didn't care for. Perhaps it is just my aversion to the bargaining process, but I would say make very sure you have other quotes before you sign with Champion!"

"We had an estimate from Summer with some others we had picked from Angie's List. Summer was by far the lowest, but we also appreciated Bill's low-key sales presentation which was devoid of hype. The hype and expense of the others was a big turnoff for us. We picked Summer and arranged for installation following order and delivery of the new windows. ...more The installation took a day longer than originally estimated. The workers were friendly and skilled. They worked very hard. Unfortunately, they were late every single day which can be a problem if one is planning to get other things done. We made Bill aware of this issue. I can say that any issue that arose during and after the installation was dealt with fully to our satisfaction. Now that we have the windows in, we are amazed at the fact that our house is cooler in the hot weather. I had been expecting improvement in the winter, but not in the summer. Our windows have made our house more comfortable and very quiet. They are very easy to operate. Overall we are very pleased and would use Summer again. I don't hesitate to recommend them highly for both price and performance."

"The company has been around for a really long time. I wanted new windows, and so I had checked a couple of places. The fellow that came out went over all the aluminum windows I had. It only took a couple of weeks to get all the windows - they were all custom-made. They had all the windows pulled out and the new windows put in on the first day. I also had oak window sills put in for every window - each one was custom made for each window. They made the sills here on the premises - the guy cut them all outside my house. Everything was good. The workers were very nice and I liked them. A lock on one of the windows broke and they came out and fixed that. I was having some wooden shutters put on, and one of the inside stripping pieces had come away from one window. I hadn?t noticed it. They sent someone out before 9 o?clock that morning to fix it, before the people who were to put the shutters up were ready to put the shutters on. They were fantastic. I would use them in the future."
