Home Remodeling Reviews in Denver

did a great job. The pass-through looks wonderful. It's a challenge to work on a 100 plus year-old house. Nothing is square and original moldings are no longer available.
's work blends in perfectly with the
features of the kitchen.

was recommended to me by my real estate agent after our first GC walked off the job.
was able to pick up the pieces and get the job done for us. He is very upfront with the job and costs involved and was always professional to deal with. I appreciated that he did the job right and at a fair price. Will definitely use him again in the future!!!

Home Remodeling reviews in Denver

I've previously written a very good review of this contractor and am still at a loss why this project turned out so poorly. we've enjoyed working with this contractor in the past and the workmanship has been good, which is why we decided to use him again on this larger project.
This project began with a limited scope to remodel a single bathroom and we felt comfortable expanding it without further bidding. Most of the work was done well though ended in severe financial mismanagement and the contractor leaving the job site with the work incomplete, faulty, or damaged.
The contractor left our site to assist with emergency flooding repairs, which was fine had he coordinated with us advance, and committed to a timeline to return and finish our remodel, which had several items incomplete. After months of attempting to get him back on site, we discovered he'd never ordered materials we had paid for, failed to pay subcontractors, and had accepted payments that were double billed (partially our fault for making payments).
We ended up terminating the project because the contractor was non-responsive and non-committal on his plan to finish up all the outstanding items.
This contractor failed to return almost $15,000 paid to him in excess payments and material deposits for orders he never placed or ordered the wrong components.
He further refused to repair or pay for damages caused by one of his subcontractors, who damaged several large glass panels with a sander, resulting in over $1,500 of damages, saying it was our problem and to go after his subcontractor, and he wasn't responsible. Several of his other subcontractors and suppliers contacted us about filing mechanics liens on our home, since he had not paid them months after we paid this general contractor for their work and materials.
It's been almost three months since we terminated this contract and the contractor is still refusing to return funds he's admitted to owing and we've been forced to take legal action, resulting in thousands of dollars in additional legal fees.

My experience with
Denver Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
was great!
Denver Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
(the owner) was very fast to answer and respond to my phone calls. I got an estimate just a few days after he came by and saw my old kitchen. His ideas were great and really got me excited to get the project going. As soon as i signed the contract, he sent me to his design center where i picked out the tile floors, granite for the counters, and tile for the back splash. After a day of guys coming to measure for granite, tile, appliances etc. work was underway. I was worried about being inconvenienced by the mess and not having a kitchen for some time, but

and his crew were very clean, prompt and did not waste anytime. They worked well around my busy family and dogs, and aside from the occasional bang, were almost unnoticeable. The installment payments were very manageable (3 payments, 1 upon start, 2 after cabinets were hung, and the third when my kitchen was done and I was happy.

was around for the entire project making sure everyone including me and my family knew what was going on and when things would be getting done. At the end of each day

cleaned up the mess from that day, as well as gave me progress reports. The quality of the work is amazing, and it is hard to believe that it is already done, and was so reasonably priced!!!

finished our basement for us. We initially chose
Denver Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
based on a referral from a friend and the design that he came up with, but we were very pleased with all of the work that was done. His staff is very professional and easy to work with.

I chose Stellar b/c
Denver Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
, the guy they sent to do the estimate, was very involved in helping me make design decisions even before I agreed to contract with them. He was very responsive and scheduled the work as soon as he could.

, the 2 carpenters that did the actual work did an excellent job. The closet looks great and has greatly improved the look and function of my home. The down side is that you will have to pay for their great service. Their bid was the second highest and the job came in exactly at the quoted price. I tend to choose contractors based on whether they seem trust worthy and knowledgeable and not strictly on who is the cheapest. This was a very successful job in my opinion even if it hit my pocketbook a little harder.

All I can say is buyer beware. We used them to renovate our Condo and to say we were disappointed in them is a serious
understatement. I chose them, so I must own that mistake.
They were months late. We had repeated problems getting straight answers. The individual in charge of the project was horrendously unorganized. One, comical example: they started installing our bathroom tile in our hall/kitchen because the project manager did not pay attention to written instructions. All that work was ripped out and re-done. Tile work in one bathroom and in the kitchen still have some problems.
Material selections had to be changed because they did not order items on a timely basis even though the items had been selected sometimes months in advance (e.g., doors).
Other problems just arose from a lack of thought--like they installed the new doors that had nickel door handles but left in the old brass hinges and latch plates.
Sadly we even had problems with their core HVAC and plumbing services. For instance, they installed a thermostat that people who came in later said was wrong. Then we discovered that they failed to reconnect the house humidifier (the copper line was just hanging unconnected) so we are having someone else reconnect it. Finally, we discovered that (or at least it appears through the hole in my wall that) the water pipe leading to the old wet bar was completely removed; yet apparently they gave no thought to how we would connect to the ice maker/water dispenser in the refrigerator which was right next to the old wet bar.
No single item was critical and in the end we have a home we really like, but we went through a lot of unnecessary grief in the process and there is no way we will work with these people again.

Contractor was friendly and extremely reliable. He did additional work without asking and without charging. He was on time and provided a clean up service that was outstanding. I was extremely pleased with the results and will hire him again to construct a bathroom in the basement. The company can do every kind of work imaginable, i.e. drywall, siding, roofing, decks, remodeling, tile, hardwood floors, painting, rock and brick work, plumbing. And the price was exceptionally competitive with several other companies.

The communication went well and he called to let us know he was on his way the day of the appointment. I can update the review when I receive the plans.
- Pamela D.

He installed a dishwasher (where there hadn't been one before); installed a new front door (in the existing frame); finished a complicated tile job; hand crafted a custom threshold for a doorway (odd side, house built in 1923); Changed out non-working plugs and outlets and painted most of the interior of the house.
He was amazing!! He seemed to be able to do anything we needed.
