"The most significant issue was with the water feature. It was supposed to be a "disappearing fountain" where the water recirculated and there was no standing pool of water. We provided a very expensive custom fountain. Unfortunately, his staff dug a big hole, lined it, threw rocks in and hooked up the fountain. , it was made clear that the fountain was installed incorrectly. He agreed to re-do the fountain. A couple days later someone came out and lifted part of the fountain out of the stagnant hole. After many calls, some un-returned, months passed. I eventually submitted a complaint with the BBB, whereby he agreed that I was correct and the fountain would be replaced. Two years later, I have still not been able to get this resolved. I am now left with a cesspool hole of water and rocks and a dead area of grass where they left the fountain (which I would move, but I can't lift it). I would not pay this contractor until you have approved all the work."
