Denver HVAC Contractors Reviews
"I called on the eve of a snow storm and they had a tech at my home the next day before the storm. He was knowledgeable and pleasant. he discovered the problem quickly and kept my house from turning into a Popsicle. Then after seeing the age of my system referred me to an estimator to get the system updated. Very happy with the whole exchange."
" I would hire this company again."
"I used a web-based service where contractors pay to be listed (don't try it! That was before I learned about Angie's List) and selected owns "
"<span>We purchased our first Angie's List "big deal" purchase for the Mr. Rooter $25 Off Pre-Winter Furnace Safety and Operation Check Out. This service was supposed to include a check of the operation of our furnace, a CO gas safety check, an operational check and clean out of the inside of the furnace. According to Mr. Rooter's ad on Angie's List, this service, normally valued at $99, is now offered for only $74! After reading Mr. Rooter's reviews on the list, and having a great need for a furnace cleaning we snatched this deal up immediately. Initially, things went really well. They called us almost immediately after the purchase to schedule the appointment. They got us in quickly and at a very convenient time. The technician arrived on time and was very professional in his behavior at first, but t</span>hat was the end of the pleasant experience. After arriving, the technician<span> went downstairs and vacuumed out our furnace, turned it on and he was done. He did nothing we couldn't have done ourselves. He proceeds to hand us a bill and waited for payment. We explained to him that we purchased this service already through Angie's List and we owe no money. Very flustered, he tries to get a hold of someone at the company saying we would have to pay him and they would just need to pay us back. Finally, very upset, he says, "I guess I just don't get paid for being here!" and leaves. We then look at his bill - the charge was $59.99. It was originally $84.99 and then they were running a $25 off fall special . We paid $74 for what was claimed to be $99 worth of services. Not okay. So, we called the company - the lady says, "Oh no, there is some mistake. It doesn't cost $99 to clean out a furnace - I'll figure out what's going on and call you back.". She never called me back. I call them again - she says she's sorry, she forgot. She finally talks to her boss and gets back with me and says that she's sorry, but she's new and she doesn't know what she's talking about and she misinformed me. She said everything was done correctly. The service was being offered through a discount right now so they are, in fact, charging $59.99. But, Angie's List charges them for listing on their site, so they had to add the extra money on to pay for that. So, essentially, Angie's List members, who pay to be subscribers to a service to find outstanding companies to do a job, are being charged more than the general public who call them from the yellow pages. They claim this is Angie's List's fault, not theirs. End of story. Overall, after trying to problem solve this whole thing with them, the final decision was, they're right, we're wrong and we need to let it go. I am not okay with paying MORE for services when I PAID to be an Angie's List member to SAVE money. If that is truly the case, this will be my first and last "big deal"!</span>"
"The tune-up itself was fantastic. I was interested in the details, so the tech went over everything with me, step by step, to show me what he was doing, what he was looking for, and why. I was very impressed with his ability and thoroughness. <br /> <br /> However, when the appointment is set, the company provides a 2-hour window when the technician will arrive. My window was 4-6 pm, and at 6 pm when nobody had showed up or even called me, I called the office (the only phone number available), which was closed, and left voicemail. Eventually the tech called me and showed up at 6:30, but this is a long time to wait alone in an entirely empty rental unit. I was not at all happy with that aspect, but the actual tune-up was well done and worth the money, particularly with the Angie's List deal savings.<br /> <br /> Now that it's a week later, another matter for their customer service department is that nobody from the company ever called me back, having received my voicemail from that evening that the tech was late. Apparently punctuality isn't a company standard, either."
"This company could not have been better! for winter. Working with them has been a pleasure and I have found them to be very accommodating. I highly recommend them for any HVAC needs you may have."
"Everything went great. I was very impressed with the installation. My house is very old, and when they saw the foundation, they realized they needed to call a core driller to drill the hole into my house, which they did (all included in the original price). My thermostat didn't have enough wires, so the electrician had to run extra wires, all done as part of the job. They were clean, quick, and efficient. And the unit is quiet and works great. I would recommend them for anyone. "
"I purchased a coupon for an AC checkup. I based my choice of Paradise on all of the wonderful reviews here on Angie's List and I am glad I did! A friend recently had the same thing done with another company and while they did the AC checkup they also gave her a list of "other" services that were needed that added up to $900! She got a second opinion and none of these services were needed, but were designed to frighten her and separate her from $900!!! On the other hand, "
