"After reading such glowing reports here on Angie's List, I am having trouble believing that he's the same man who worked on my bath.  After scheduling our project two months in advance,
Denver Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
was four days late in starting the job.  He called daily putting us off claiming his current job was running over.  Funny enough, when finishing our job was going to take one extra day he whined about having to postpone his next job.
Denver Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
originally quoted our job as taking one week to do.  It took nearly five weeks, because
Denver Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
does not like to work more then 4 hours a day tops.  And those would be the days he shows up at all.  In the 5 weeks he was working on our project, he called or texted that he would not be coming 40% of the time.  His excuses were illness, car troubles, late-night recording sessions, and once he took off to do a 3-day job in Boulder which he had not previously told us of.  He also requested the job be paid in full nearly a week before he had finished, which I refused to do. When
Denver Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
was here, he blared loud music and was sloppy.  He did not
Denver Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
down any carpet protection.  The carpet in our master bedroom is now a mess and will have to be professionally cleaned.  He dribbled some sort of white liquid through our house and walked back by it three times eyeballing it but never cleaned it up.  He would take frequent smoke breaks and leave cigarette butts on our front lawn. I was surprised at the end of the project to find that
Denver Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
only caulked the areas where stone met stone.  He did not caulk the stone baseboard or where the stone met the ceiling in the shower.  He told us we had to do it (lesson learned in getting EVERYTHING in writing).  When repairing the subfloor beneath the toilet,
Denver Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
sliced through a PVC drain pipe.  Once he had finished the job and we were able to use the bathroom, the pipe leaked onto our garage ceiling below.  When I contacted him about the damage, he laid blame on the previous contractor without even coming out to inspect the area.  My husband fixed the damaged pipe and will now have to replace the damaged ceiling drywall.

"We wanted a floor with some uniqueness but couldn't afford an exotic like walnut, etc. We thought about pre-finished, but decided we wanted to go old-school and finish-in-place to have more of a hand-finished quality and control over the look rather that it being factory-perfect.
Denver Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
was very willing to go whichever way we wanted and gave us what we considered to be a very fair quote that he stuck to even though some unforeseen issues increased his labor costs substantially. We chose quarter-sawn white oak which he was able to get at an excellent price, and then we obsessed about how to get an interesting effect with the stain to really bring out the grain and get high contrast. We didn't want our floor to look bland or typical. We're extremely detail-oriented and perfectionistic.
Denver Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
worked hard and we both did a lot of research to figure out a good balance between reasonable cost and the look we wanted. After the flooring went in (on schedule--he actually pushed to go faster but we were doing a lot of other remodeling work and needed to deal with that), he laid some sample stain down in large patches so we could really get a feel for what it looked like in the room (much better than looking at a little sample in a store!). We were nervous but he assured us the patches could be easily sanded away to put the final stain on. We chose one of the stains, and after he'd done the entire floor, my wife decided she didn't like it after all. Too boring. What?! After talks of divorce,
Denver Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
came up with an idea for a technique to open up the grain and apply another stain on top of the one we had rather than sanding it all off and starting over. This was getting really scary. He put it on in a
Denver Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
area (under where the fridge would go), and WOW--huge difference. Awesome look. We had to admit my wife was 100% right on that call. We were pumped. We had other snags:
Denver Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
hand-picked some boards he thought I'd like as a surround for the fireplace based on one of our previous conversations. When I saw it, I didn't like it and told him so. He immediately said, no problem: he'd uninstall it and redo it to my liking. Outcome: awesomeness. We went over the pros and cons of sealers (water-based vs poly). I appreciated him getting into the details and letting me make the choice (control freak that I am). After the first two coats of poly went down very well and looked great, the third one was a serious problem (I never saw it, but my wife freaked). It was glossy and wierd. He said this has on rare occasion happened before: bad batch of product. Okay, now what? No problem. He immediately scheduled that
Denver Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
to be removed/buffed-down, and laid on a proper third coat (well, almost like a fourth coat). Looked amazing again. Problem solved in about 24 or 36 hours. I've been through enough contractors for various remodeling projects to know that things almost ALWAYS go wrong, and the test of the contractor is the speed, care, and attitude with which they respond to the issue.
Denver Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
was a man after my own heart: worked incredibly hard (at times into the night to meet a deadline for other work we were doing), always with professionalism and a can-do attitude, and nothing seemed to be a problem he couldn't solve. The precision of the install was in keeping with the name, and we would (and will) use him again for other projects. Finish-in-place floors (in my opinion) have tiny details of imperfection (not bad ones, little ones) that I prefer perhaps the way some people prefer the sound of vinyl albums over CDs.
Denver Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
gave us an excellent finished product that we're very proud of at a very fair price.

Denver Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
represented his company very professionally. They were available to handle our floor promptly and did a very good job. They even asked us for input on our preferences as to how we would like it finished. When the job was done, we scraped some of their hard work up by moving the refrigerator back into place.
Denver Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
offered to come to our home and repair our damage himself at no extra cost. He really went above and beyond what was expected. Overall, we had an overwhelmingly positive experience."

Denver Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
completed the project on time and on budget ? a big accomplishment given the size of the project, weather, and amount of unknowns that can pop up during the journey. I am writing this recommendation almost 7 months after the completion of the project. Why? Well, I am writing it because
Denver Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
(and their sub-contractors) has stood behind their work the entire time. I have called
Denver Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
on a number of occasions for follow up work (very normal on a project this size) and also for advice on work that falls outside the scope of the contacted project (probably not that normal).
Denver Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
has ALWAYS picked up the phone and been responsive to our needs ? ALWAYS. This is in contrast to some of the past experiences where companies have basically taken our money and not stood behind their work. I want to recommend
Denver Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
because they are honest, professional, quality focused, experienced, and act as a consultant through the entire process. If anyone would like to see the quality of work they did with our remodel then please let us know ? we can send before/after pictures or you can take a tour of the house.

"Called KC on a Fri., he came Sat. to a**** the job. Sent bid on Sun. On the job Mon. morning, finished on Tues. We weren't in a super-hurry but the project hit a point where it needed a boost to move it toward completion. Tiling is not our forte so we opted, at the last minute, to hire a professional. KC was exactly who we needed at that moment and we paid for it. As it turned out we feel we got our money's worth due to his punctuality, professionalism, friendliness and expertise. Remember, we had done the prep and the job was only 60 SF but there are 6 doorways abutting the field with trim in place. That's a lot of cuts and he minimized those and did an excellent job. The stair nosing was a particular obstacle and KC overcame each problem in turn with no drama or histrionics. The guy's a pro."

"I met with
Denver Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
and we discussed the price, the type of flooring and the time frame for job completion. The wood was delivered on the day and within the window of time specified. The workmen showed up on time the first day and went right to work. They even moved furniture for me into my garage. By the end of day one I had an unfinished floor installed and a very clean area. The next day another group came in and sanded the floor. Again, so clean. Then they stained the floor and there were no horrible odors. Finally, the last day the floor was finished and it was just beautiful. The cost was exactly what I had contracted for. The amount of materials that were delivered was just right and I didn't pay for a lot for materials that went unused. I can't say enough about the workmen. They were wonderful. Good job

"Overall the floor is beautiful but upon closer inspection, the cuts around the doorways we very ragged. I have complained 3 times and he just put in more fake wood and is not fixed to my satisfaction. His children we to clean up the glue on the floor and this was not done. I am still cleaning glue off the floor. Globs of glue were left on the floor and fortunately I was able to clean up."

"Possibly due to the results of a 6 year old playing with a hammer on my kitchen floor, there was a big chip in one of the stone tiles.
Denver Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
came to take a look, thinking he was going to have to replace the whole tile - which might have been a problem because I don't have any extra tiles. However, when he saw that I still had the piece of cracked tile that had broken off, he was able to use some grout and just fix the tile itself. Because the stone has so many colors the grout just blends in with the rest of the stone tile. This saved me quite a bit of money."

Denver Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
almost always answers his phone and so he is very easy to reach. He is very professional and provided a detailed estimate promptly. We hired
Denver Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
because of his low price and because he could do both the carpet and vinyl flooring installation.
Denver Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
installed the carpeting as soon as we were ready to have it done. His installation took about four days, two days longer than he initially estimated. We arranged this job from out of state, so I'm not sure why that was, but the townhouse was vacant and there wasn't any great rush. Because we were out of town,
Denver Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
asked us to mail him a check for the job (his installation charge) before he even started the job, which I was not comfortable doing, so I held back on mailing the check until a friend of ours could check on the townhouse and see that the job was done. We paid for the carpet and vinyl directly, when we ordered it from the wholesale source. Our friend reported that
Denver Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
(or perhaps his assistant) left some black hand prints on our newly-painted doors, and that there were numerous carpet yarns and fragments to be vacuumed up, but otherwise, the carpet installation looked good.
