"The first thing you need to know is that Best charges what I feel to be an outrageous amount for a "trip charge." I think it was roughly $80 for each appliance, and there was no discounting due to the fact that I had two appliances being repaired simultaneously. When I first called the scheduler, they made me give her copious information about the problems and the exact model numbers of the appliances. When I could only come up with 11 digits of a 16 digit model number she castigated me and told me that they may not have "enough information" (despite the fact that 11 alphanumeric digits can provide more than a quadrillion bits of information). I thought with all that information they would be able to fix the problem in one trip. No dice. When the guy first came out, he hadn't brought any of the required parts to fix the problems that I described. I understand that might happen if you give them a general description of a problem ("Uh, it's not working."), but I gave them a very specific description of common problems including one that was merely a replacement of a worn-out part that I had already identified. So we had to schedule a second trip for him to actually install the parts. . I will say that they were generally very prompt and always showed up exactly when they said they would. A day or two days before they sent out an automated email for you to confirm that you'd be home and allowing you to pick an appointment time. That system seemed to work well. The quality of the repairs seems to be decent. I notice a little more gas smell when the burners light than before, but I'm not sure that's the fault of the repairman. The dishwasher repairs seem to work fine, but the tolerances of the repaired parts aren't quite as nice as when it came from the factory. I'm told that Best is one of the few options when you're repairing higher-end appliances, but I'm going to do a little more research next time."
