I saw him repeatedly. Every time I went there he took 6 vials of blood and I never got I never got any lab results. I was very upset with his record keeping. He didn't show my progress in his reports. I had to go through a rebuttal between him and my insurance company. I felt he never really listened to what I was saying. He seemed like a nice enough guy. He is not very communicative. He didn't really help me.

Do NOT accept office hour with Dr.
Dallas Rheumatologists Provider Name Locked
. He has very poor manner and does not care about the well-being of patients at his office. Mostly the nurse collect all the info and he just hmm and
Dallas Rheumatologists Provider Name Locked
through it. At one point, the nurse suggested a treatment because of the pain I was in and his response was a shrug and said, "... if you want to, I don't care..."

In my opinion, this office seems like a funnel to screen out patients for clinical trials. So, if your case does not fit their criteria then your needs will NOT be met. I will not use this provider and will not recommend any one either. Clinical trials are experiments, it may or may not work. But, it absolutely will make your doctors

I arrived at his office which has a big and pleasant waiting room. The staff was friendly and helpful. I met the doctor and he went over my medical history which I'd filled out, and examined me. The doctor was pretty sure I had
Dallas Rheumatologists Provider Name Locked
's Syndrome and ordered several blood tests. All the blood tests came back normal so he ordered a lip biopsy which confirmed the diagnosis. He put me on Plaquenil which did not help me so I am trying a new medication now (Quinacrine). He seems to be very committed to finding a treatment that will help me feel better (there is no cure for
Dallas Rheumatologists Provider Name Locked
's). He has now become my regular rheumatologist. I highly recommend him to anyone who has been searching without success for a diagnosis for a rheumatological disease.

Upon my first visit to the
Dallas Rheumatologists Provider Name Locked
office I saw a different Dr Telarian who ordered a full blood profile including following genetic markers. What Telarian neglected to tell me was that the tests were run out of state and my insurance plan would fail to cover the costs. Following this I received a bill from the out of state lab for $400. When I made a follow up appt I was told that Telarian had left the practice. I was assigned to Dr.
Dallas Rheumatologists Provider Name Locked
. On my first follow up I mentioned the fact that I had not been informed that there would be any additional cost. Dr.
Dallas Rheumatologists Provider Name Locked
told me that wasn't the responsibility of their office to inform patients of this and that I would be responsible for the additional test costs.

During this time I noticed that the office was run by 3 women who spent their time chatting in Spanish in front of the patients. I thought this rather odd and impolite. One of the ladies was assigned to draw my blood to follow medication levels. As we walked into the back lab she confided in me that she had just completed a training course. She attempted to draw my blood and missed my
Dallas Rheumatologists Provider Name Locked
twice, each time digging around trying to find it. She criticized me for not having drunk enough water that day. She finally managed to draw me and I calked it off to a bad experience, hoping I would not be so unfortunate to get her next time.

On the next appt the Dr office called me and moved my appt to the downtown office, delaying the scheduled appt by some 2 weeks. The downtown office ran much more smoothly and although crowded, they were able to get me in and out and run a bone scan. I did find it annoying that they had moved me downtown, some 10 miles farther for me to travel. Dr.
Dallas Rheumatologists Provider Name Locked
put me on an injectable methatexate, taken once a week. However, one of the biggest problems was that none of the prescriptions had refills. Each time my prescription ran out my pharmacy would fax the office. The first time it happened my pharmacy faxed the order to the downtown office. Since I was listed as a patient at the
Dallas Rheumatologists Provider Name Locked
office these orders were ignored. Apparently there was never communication between downtown and
Dallas Rheumatologists Provider Name Locked
. After a week of trying to figure out what the problem was I was able to get a hold of the
Dallas Rheumatologists Provider Name Locked
office. This was a real problem in itself since the staff rarely answers the phone or returns voice messages. When I finally did get a hold of them they rudely informed me that they had given me the paperwork on which there was a fax number for the
Dallas Rheumatologists Provider Name Locked
office and I was a real bozo for not having noticed that.

During a
Dallas Rheumatologists Provider Name Locked
visit, the neophyte was assigned to draw blood from me again. After missing the
Dallas Rheumatologists Provider Name Locked
several times I was again chastised for not drinking enough water. I ordered her to pull out the needle at one point and had them write me a script to have blood drawn from the lab at
Dallas Rheumatologists Provider Name Locked
Regional Medical. On a follow up I was told that the results had never made it back to Dr.
Dallas Rheumatologists Provider Name Locked
's office. Again in October, 2011 my pharmacy faxed the
Dallas Rheumatologists Provider Name Locked
office 5 times to renew a prescription and never heard back. The last time they faxed the order I called the office and was told that the pharmacy had only faxed one order and it had just arrived. This entire process took a week. In November I showed up for an appt with Dr.
Dallas Rheumatologists Provider Name Locked
10 min late and was told that the Dr. had gone home early. The office claimed they had called me and left me a voicemail, which I never received. I was rescheduled for December 2. 5 days before this appt the office called me and canceled the appt and that I should call in and reschedule. I called in and was rescheduled for a month later in January, 2012. On 12/20 I called in my pharmacy to renew a prescription. Again, the script was written with no refills. My pharmacy again faxed the office 3 times and there was no response. I tried to call the office but no one answered or I was put on hold for 10 min until I gave up. I was able to leave a voice mail asking them once again to contact the pharmacy and refill the script. By this time I had had enough and I went to the office to retrieve my medical records and make an appt with a different Dr. I called them several times again and they never answered their phone. I went to the office and found the office had only one staff member. None of the Drs. were in. No one was in the office. When I asked for my records the one girl asked if I was changing offices. I told her yes. When she handed me my records she asked if I had picked up my prescription yet. I told her no and she replied that "since I was no longer a patient with their office she would call and cancel my recently refilled prescription".

My advise is don't ever go to Arthritis Center of Texas in
Dallas Rheumatologists Provider Name Locked
if you want decent healthcare. This turned out to be the worst Dr. I have ever had. Unless I asked during an appt I was never given test results. When I did ask I was told they were "OK" rather than being presented with detailed information.

Dr
Dallas Rheumatologists Provider Name Locked
has consistently spent as much time as I wanted answering questions and discussing concerns, appreciating the serious physical and emotional sides of both symptoms and treatments. Dr
Dallas Rheumatologists Provider Name Locked
has gone above and beyond to prepare reading materials for me to take home, to call me on the weekends or evenings to discuss lab results, and has an online portal where he quickly responds to my occasional questions in between visits. One of the few medical practices where I felt like there was a relationship developing where we were Both seeking MY best interests and health.

Dr.
Dallas Rheumatologists Provider Name Locked
has been my rheumatologist for about a year and a half. At every 3-month checkup he listens to my heart and lungs, examines my joints, orders blood tests, answers my questions, and explains the risk/benefits of any medicines prescribed. He's never made me feel rushed, and I've never waited more than 10-15 minutes to see him. He's always very thorough, and I've always seen HIM, not a PA. . Dr.
Dallas Rheumatologists Provider Name Locked
stays up-to-date in his very complex specialty while remaining an "old-fashioned" doctor in the best sense of that phrase. He cares, and it shows.

I've been seeing them for many many years and I know them very well. My visits are usually very good. You get in, get out, and it's over quick which is nice. I saw eight rhematologists before I found out what kind of arthritis I had, but the doctor I saw there put me on the correct medication when they other guys didn't even know what the type was. I went from being an invalid to being able to walk around again.
