"I wanted much better security at my doors because of kick-in burglaries
in the neighborhood. I asked for steel doors, but ,
taking me along on the shopping trip, and with my permission, bought composite doors that were
fairly heavy. I should have questioned that on the spot, but thought
they knew what they were doing. I didn't really realize that steel doors
would have cost me far more.
I wanted deep screws set into the solid door jamb. I looked at the jambs
before they left, and they seemed fine. The door prep, insulation and
painting were excellent. They did an excellent job installing a storm
door over one of the new doors. Everything looked nifty.
However, after they left, I noticed that on the secluded back door, the
most likely kick-in site (it was already solid steel, which I had had
for years, after a previous break-in), I saw that the screws were medium length,
and because I have an old house, there were numerous old inset holes for
deadlocks. The medium screws stretched across the holes, and security
was down the drain.
I tried to put in deeper screws, but had to call them back to do that.
One of the most distracting things about their work was a continual, soft, low stream
of talk in Spanish, which I don't speak. It made
me wonder if they were talking about me, the doors, or were just having a
conversation.
I paid a lot of money for this job; the whole idea was security, and I
wish I had asked more questions. Perhaps $1500.00 was actually a bargain, but
before I have any other work done by Exterior Workers, I will get at least 3 other bids, all
from Angie's list."

was one of the two final contractors chosen for our project. St. made an initial trip out to assess the scope of the project, and to meet with us. The first thing I noticed was his manner of getting to know us, the house, and where we wanted to go with our project. clearly made an effort to find out our tastes, and preferences, and he did not try to "sell" us anything. He was matter-of-fact, and really listened to us, but asked relevant questions. By the time our second meeting occurred, we decided to hire 's company because he was very much in-tune with our goals and our budget. next introduced us to our Project Manager, . , , and my wife, spent a great deal of time making selections on everything from tile, to paint, to cabinet faces. The final budget was approved, and the project moved forward with surprising speed. It was efficient, not rushed. The sub-contractors were all very good, but the Painters are the ones that stood out the most. This was the most meticulously prepared painting project I've ever seen, and the result is amazing. Again, all of 's sub-contractors did excellent work, but the painters were the best.
The Project Manager, , was also very good. Despite a few minor missteps (nobody's perfect), was thoroughly engaged from start to finish. Although my wife and I were traveling during most of the project, kept us informed. also went “above and beyond” - Since my wife was working out-of-state, went so far as to go to a tile store, out our chosen tile in multiple patterns, and then photograph the different patterns so my wife could pick the pattern she wanted. On another occasion, when I was out-of-state, even set my DVR to record a basketball game so I didn't miss seeing it!
During this project, there were other principals involved at . We had the pleasure of working with St. (the straw that stirs the drink), and 's business partner, . Everyone we met could not have been more professional, and personable.
My wife and I cannot believe how beautiful our house looks. did an outstanding job, and, from start to finish, the project only took 39 days. This was, for us, a very well run, well executed project, that exceeded all expectations in terms of money spent, and the results of the work. No project goes off perfectly, and neither did this one, but any issues, or mistakes, were addressed appropriately and fairly. (The issues were few.) stands behind its work, and was fair and honest in its dealings with us. We have some exterior work (roofing) to be done, as well as a major renovation of the Master Bath area; St. , and his company will handle those in the future. has earned our trust, and we highly recommend them.

He came back the next day with plumbers and electricians; this guy is serious and he knows what he is doing. We haven’t gotten the estimate yet, but I am pretty sure he’ll get us one. He was very professional throughout the process. We will probably hire this guy because he seemed so professional and because his crew is a bunch of older guys that look like they know what they are doing.

" and his crew are the best. Excellent work above and beyond expectations, on time, professional, and a great price. We are also going to have the team back soon to renovate our stairs, new mailbox, and other items."

" (salesperson) bid the project and worked to ensure a quality project for our budget. We asked for one addition during the project and agreed upon a price before hand. The end project cost the amount we agreed upon less, $50 to cover the cost of a scale that was inadvertently broken by a workman. Throughout the project, I received up-dates as well as phone calls or emails from (who coordinated/oversaw the work crew) as to what and when I could expect the following day. If their had not been a delay on carpet delivery by the carpet company - the project would have been completed on time. Although I expected dust due to tearing out and building walls - the workmen took exceptional care to keep things cleaned. I was very pleased overall and we hope to use for a large scale outdoor project."

"The initial installation was quick. The crew put down some rolled flat-roof shingle type material and completed late in the evening. When I went up on the roof the next day to inspect the work I noticed the edges of the seams were not glued down and I could pull back the material as much as 4-5 inches in some places around the corners. I called the owner to tell him about it and he expressed his frustration at the contractors and sent them back out to tar down the seams. The roofers came out and applied tar over all of the seams but the roof continued to leak. I spent a good amount of my own time and money over the next few months applying tar over the roof and ultimately determined water was coming in from my neighbor's side and seeping under the roofing material. I spent a few months applying tar to my neighbor's side in an attempt to stop the leak but to no avail. The owner told me he would install a drain in my neighbor's roof (which I was going to pay for) to stop the water from pooling but he never came out and installed the drain despite multiple calls. Ultimately I found someone else to fix my neighbor's roof which slowed the leak but didn't completely stop it. After the most recent rain, I went up on the roof and saw several seams had water coming from them and many more blisters in the roofing material. I emailed the owner to ask if he was going to repair the blistering material under warranty and was told the only option I have left to stop my roof from leaking was to pay him an additional $1000 for some 'tpo' modified membrane which makes me wonder why this membrane was not used in the first place.
As far as the bubbles go, the owner sent out a contractor to address the issue once under warranty at no charge. The contractor laid down one strip and a small square of new material and heated it down to the damaged material. This fixed the most damaged area but the blisters all over the rest of the roof are still present. Now I'm being told the other blisters were caused from the water that leaked in from my neighbors side so he won't fix the other blisters.
After I was told I had to pay $1000 more to stop my roof from leaking I told the owner if he didn't want to fix the roof under warranty, that's fine, but I was going to share my experience on angies list. He called me a jerk and told me if I did he would ME FOR $50,000 for defamation of character. My intent in writing this review is not to defame anyone or speak ill of , it is simply to share my story and the facts as I perceive them."

"He came out and had a look and he was very nice. His quote helped me decided whether to do the fence or remodel. His technical expertise is what stood out about him. He had a clear idea about what did and did not need to be done. I would recommend him and I thought that he was very good and very helpful."

"Overall the project went well, he did everything we talked about and even did a couple of things I had originally told him not to worry about and we even added some things to the list. He was very responsible and showed up when he said he would. Easy to work with and was very helpful. If I had to say anything on the negative side it would be the clean up. There was still a lot of dust and texture stuff around in the living room but outside the house was cleaned up really well. I would definitely use him again in the future."

"I was extremely impressed with the professionalism, the customer service as well as the quality of work. I found their prices to be reasonable, therefore I have recommended to my co-workers, my friends and family members with each of them having a successful encounter."

"We are in an empty nest status and wanted to take one of the spare bedrooms into the master suite as a large, spa bathroom. helped design the layout and made recommendations on tile, shower glass, and other. Plumbing had to be rerouted. A small window to the old bathroom was closed and located matching brick. You cannot tell there had been a window. His and her vanities and floor to ceiling linen cabinet were custom built. Sliding doors in the master bedroom were replaced with french doors. The master closet was expanded. The space is expanded with shelves all around and more hanging space. The new master suite is very contemporary and spa like and beautiful. The workers were very considerate and punctual. The original estimate came about 10% below where we ended including another contractor. had originally quoted installation of hard wood floors. We mutually agreed to have a floor company do this. This change and some other additions along the way increased the final cost."
