"They were very courteous and they showed up on time. I was glad that they pointed out the other issue with the hot water heater. I felt very comfortable with them in our home and I will use them again. "

"They were punctual, fast and professional. Answered any question I posed to them. A foreman was on sight the whole time. They cleaned up the entire job from inside to outside. I would highly recommend them for a small or large job."

"As with any large service business, it's only as good as its people (and their judgment) and leadership. There are so many variables in execution of a robust service model, these variables cannot all line up perfectly for each service call and there are bound to be periodic hiccups. It's how effectively a company's leadership deals with such hiccups that truely defines the service level of a company. Hands down - has this leadership and quality of service level.
On a routine service call to replace cartridges for leaking showers, the technician was asked to check out the water heaters. The technician was prompt on time - about 1 pm. Since the water heaters were 16-years old, I knew that they likely needed to be replaced. I was interested in (a) ensuring that they were not badly leaking and (b) getting a reasonable quote. The technician checked the water heaters and said that one had a very slow leak and they needed to be replaced. Really no surprise and no alarm. I asked for him to provide a quote. I had to leave the house and my stayed with the technician. My called me later with a quote to replace the cartridges and a quote to replace the water heaters. I authorized the cartridge replacements (~$500) but held off on the water heater replacements. I wanted to explore options (such as tankless) and ensure that the water heater quote was competitive, which would take me a couple of days to do. The technician then proceeded to shut down the water to the house and replace the cartridges in the leaking showers. He turned the water back on and went on his way. The also left the house.
When I returned home that evening about 9 pm, the water heater had a massive leak. The leak flow was too large because the overflow basin could not contain the water and route it to outside drainage. The water was leaking through the ceiling and on the walls and carpet.
I immediately turned off the water and called the president, . called me back about 10:30 pm and also personnally came to my house the next day with his service manager. What we surmised is that the turning off and back on of the water to replace the cartridges likely drove the water heater to break into a heavy leak . Perhaps an experienced service technician should have anticipated this likelihood, but it was missed nonetheless. Without hesitation, offered to paint the ceiling (which was done later) and after some discussion with and his service manager, I decided to replace the water heaters with a tankless system. As for the carpet, there was a bit of luck - it did not need to be addressed because it was to be pulled up and replaced with hardwood flooring that same week.
In the middle of difficulty is when a company's service model is challenged and that's where real execution matters. The buck stops with the company's leadership. followed through on their service model and demonstrated the company's service level and committment to its customer. And the technician also benefited from a lessons learned perspective that will likely prevent a similar occurence will other customers in the future. - the service delivery improved from this experience. "I am in the middle of buying a house and the home inspector noticed some
settling on the house (which was built in 1965). This could either be
from pipes leaking or a little foundation settling caused by a big tree
in the front yard. We first wanted to eliminate the of leaking
pipes so I called Baker Bros. They promised me an appointment for
8am the next day. I called and scheduled the realtor to meet me at the
house at 8am. Sure enough we arrived but our plumber didnt. I got a
phone call from saying that he would be there between 8:30-9:00am,
so the realtor and I had to wait a while longer. Bless her heart it
was her day off and she had plans with her husband to do things. After
waiting for a while longer, I called back at 8:55 to see where he
was and to get an ETA. He was right around the corner and sure enough
he was there by 9am with only a minute to spare. I went ahead and had
him scope the pipes where he was able to determine that there was no
pipe problems that he could see (great news!). It cost me $350 to scope
out the pipes in the area of the tree, which i thought was a little
expensive but it needed to be done and I didnt have time to have another
plumber look at it for a lower rate. So i paid him but I expected him
to be there when he was promised at 8am. I know it was an hour but for
someone like me who depended on someone else to let me into the
residence and be present during the consult, it was important to be on
time.
He was very professional and clear about the prices, just to be clear, he just wasnt there at the time I was told on the phone."

was one of the two final contractors chosen for our project. St. made an initial trip out to assess the scope of the project, and to meet with us. The first thing I noticed was his manner of getting to know us, the house, and where we wanted to go with our project. clearly made an effort to find out our tastes, and preferences, and he did not try to "sell" us anything. He was matter-of-fact, and really listened to us, but asked relevant questions. By the time our second meeting occurred, we decided to hire 's company because he was very much in-tune with our goals and our budget. next introduced us to our Project Manager, . , , and my wife, spent a great deal of time making selections on everything from tile, to paint, to cabinet faces. The final budget was approved, and the project moved forward with surprising speed. It was efficient, not rushed. The sub-contractors were all very good, but the Painters are the ones that stood out the most. This was the most meticulously prepared painting project I've ever seen, and the result is amazing. Again, all of 's sub-contractors did excellent work, but the painters were the best.
The Project Manager, , was also very good. Despite a few minor missteps (nobody's perfect), was thoroughly engaged from start to finish. Although my wife and I were traveling during most of the project, kept us informed. also went “above and beyond” - Since my wife was working out-of-state, went so far as to go to a tile store, out our chosen tile in multiple patterns, and then photograph the different patterns so my wife could pick the pattern she wanted. On another occasion, when I was out-of-state, even set my DVR to record a basketball game so I didn't miss seeing it!
During this project, there were other principals involved at . We had the pleasure of working with St. (the straw that stirs the drink), and 's business partner, . Everyone we met could not have been more professional, and personable.
My wife and I cannot believe how beautiful our house looks. did an outstanding job, and, from start to finish, the project only took 39 days. This was, for us, a very well run, well executed project, that exceeded all expectations in terms of money spent, and the results of the work. No project goes off perfectly, and neither did this one, but any issues, or mistakes, were addressed appropriately and fairly. (The issues were few.) stands behind its work, and was fair and honest in its dealings with us. We have some exterior work (roofing) to be done, as well as a major renovation of the Master Bath area; St. , and his company will handle those in the future. has earned our trust, and we highly recommend them.

"We had a great experience with Mr. . He is so talented and can do almost anything. He could not reproduce our cabinet fronts himself, but found someone who could and took care of it himself. He had given me an estimate, but was able to get this portion completed for less than he thought and so came back and lowered the cost to me. Very honest! He completed the interior portion of the cabinets and drawers himself. From the outside, they match the older cabinets perfectly and one could not tell that they were not original. On the inside, however, they are much better quality than the original and are a lot more functional. He did a fabulous job! He also did a great job installing our pedestal sink, which required drilling into the floor through our tile floors. We are very impressed with his work and I have recommended him to several friends since that time. I know of two that have used him, one on multiple occasions, and they have all been very happy with his work as well. I will definitely use his services again in the future!"

"The gentlemen that came to our house were very polite and professional. They worked fast. Once they told me what they believed was the problem, I was given a estimate of cost before they started any work. Even though both issues were fixes and could have been taken care of by me or my husband for much less cost, we gave them the go ahead as neither of us wanted to take the time to deal with it. I was glad we did. They worked very fast and had the job done in no time. The price I paid also includes the trip charge, which I would have had to pay even if I didn't have them complete the work. The initial price was actually a little higher, but they gave me a discount because I had found them on Angie's List. I was impressed with this because I did not know they offered that and didn't ask. They just volunteered it and they certainly could have gotten away with more money had they not. They are a great company who does great work. I would definitely use them again. "

"This morning I called to get a quote on a stopped up clotheswasher drain. I was quoted $130 for inserting their snake twice only. They said that if they needed to inserted a 3rd time or even an 4th time, it would be an additional $50.00. I think the price is exessive for such a and brief procedure as inserting a snake into the drainout hole."

"Owner spoke with me on the phone before service, helping me assess exactly what could be wrong. I appreciated his time. Rep showed up promptly and did the work. So far so good. I will report back if the toilet moves!
Rep cleaned up area very well and overall experience was excellent. "
