"There aren't words to express what an incredible job the team from
Dallas Movers Provider Name Locked
did for me. The men were prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and extremely respectful. They really gave my furniture the "white glove service" I was promised by wearing white gloves when carrying my fabriced furniture and clothing. Some furniture pieces I own have been in my family for generations and not only were they handled with expertise and caring, they even tightened up screws and bolts on delivery to make them sturdier. They also put felt pads on the feet of my chairs and tables so that the floors wouldn't get scratched. When my furniture was delivered the men set up my bedside nightstands exactly as they were in my previous home even setting the clocks for me. They moved existing furniture in my daughter's home to make room for my items without hesitation. They also made sure that everything was exactly to my expectations before leaving. This was a very tramatic move for me but I have never felt better taken care of by any company in my life. Subequently I have used
Dallas Movers Provider Name Locked
for a couple of deliveries and again have received excellent service. I have recommended
Dallas Movers Provider Name Locked
to many of my friends who are also making major moves.

Dallas Movers Reviews

"My apartment is on a third floor with no elevator. The guys worked at a steady pace and the whole move was done in 3 hours. They charged me $75 per hour plus a $20 trip charge for a three man crew and truck. Nothing was broken and they took care of puting the beds together and hooking up my washer/dryer. The only issue was that they were a bit late, 20 minutes. When they did show up, the door to there truck was frozen shut and it took another 10 minutes to get it open. But they did not charge me for any of this time. I would definitely hire them again."

"I have waited to write this review in the hopes that
Dallas Movers Provider Name Locked
, the owner, would own up to his responsibility and pay to properly repair the damages his movers did to our hard wood floor. We had only recently had the floor sanded and refinished. The movers dropped a piece of furniture while delivering it and scratched a 3 feet long scratch with 3 deep gouges into our floor. The moving crew did not inform us of the damage at the time it happened. We noticed it a couple weeks later as we were moving boxes from that area. I had the floor company (from Angie's List) that we had recently used to refinish our floors come out to give an estimate for repairing the floor. Because of the depth of the gouges they said the entire floor would need to be sanded and then refinished. Due to chemical sensitivity and allergies we require a water-based finish (the same as was previously used), which is a bit more expensive than regular polyurethane. They provided a repair estimate of $1,539.81. I called
Dallas Movers Provider Name Locked
. to file a claim and faxed the requested form back to them and emailed photos. I also sent the estimate from the flooring company.
Dallas Movers Provider Name Locked
's response was that the estimate was too high and he was unwilling to pay. He first came to our house with 6 large men, his moving crews. My impression was that he hoped to intimidate the woman making the claim. While inspecting and discussing the damages, one of the crew told me that they, the crew, would have to pay for any damages that
Dallas Movers Provider Name Locked
settled on. I don't know how true (or legal) that is, but it surely seemed intended to make me back off my claim out of sympathy for the workers.
Dallas Movers Provider Name Locked
then said he would send a floor person of his own acquaintance to evaluate the damage and provide an estimate for repairing the floor. A few days later
Dallas Movers Provider Name Locked
and his floor person came by the house. Upon showing the damage to them,
Dallas Movers Provider Name Locked
's first comment was "you're never going to move that piece of furniture, are you?" referring to a large cabinet that was partially covering the scratch. The inference was that there was no need to properly repair the floor if I just never move the furniture.
Dallas Movers Provider Name Locked
's floor person then proceeded to describe a repair job that would replace boards (losing
Dallas Movers Provider Name Locked
-in-groove integrity) and patching just a small area of the floor. I explained our requirements for water-based urethane and told him the name of the product. He was unfamiliar with the product (which, I understood from our previous floor work, required a certain knowledge and skill to apply properly). He gave me a business card that had only his name, phone number and an email address (that didn't work) - no business name. This indicated to me that the person had no credibility in his knowledge or experience with hardwood floors. It seemed to me that
Dallas Movers Provider Name Locked
had brought in an acquaintance to give a low-ball estimate, which he did at $500. I called another floor company with A ratings on Angies List to give me a second estimate. I thought it was important to get the opinion of another "disinterested" party. They agreed with the first floor company that the only proper way to repair the floor was to sand the entire floor and then refinish it. They described the importance of not replacing
Dallas Movers Provider Name Locked
-in-groove boards whenever possible and the fact that the urethane should be a contiguous membrane across the entire floor surface. Although their estimate was slightly lower ($1217.00), they recommended I use the first floor company so that the repaired floor, when finished, would match the other hardwood floors in our house that the first floor company had previously finished. I emailed the second, lower estimate to
Dallas Movers Provider Name Locked
and said I would be willing to accept the lower of the two estimates to cover the repairs.
Dallas Movers Provider Name Locked
responded that he would not pay that amount and that he would have other floor companies contact me to provide an estimate for repairs. I received a phone call from one company and I asked them to email me so I could look at my calendar before making an appointment. I never heard from the company again so I emailed
Dallas Movers Provider Name Locked
requesting their contact information so I could follow up.
Dallas Movers Provider Name Locked
did not respond. A few weeks ago I sent
Dallas Movers Provider Name Locked
a certified letter with a summary of our communications and an invoice for the
Dallas Movers Provider Name Locked
of the two estimates I obtained. I gave him until Nov. 30 to pay the invoice. He has not responded. Accidents can happen. That's life. And I was prepared to give a better review on Angie's List if
Dallas Movers Provider Name Locked
had stepped up, responsibly, to pay to repair the damage that his company caused when I hired them to perform a service. It has been nearly five months since
Dallas Movers Provider Name Locked
Company damaged my hardwood floors. It is time for
Dallas Movers Provider Name Locked
to be responsible, to behave honorably as a businessman and to pay for repairing the damage his company caused to my floors.

"The move went very well - they loaded the truck very nicely and everything stayed in place until it was unpacked 100miles later. They moved the stuff into the bottom floor as asked and were finished quickly."

"Horrible. We paid $600 for a 2 bedroom move, ridiculous! It was only after I disputed $170 on my credit card that they finally talked to me about a refund. Movers showed up an hour late. They had an extra guy with them that they told me "worked from tips". They showed me the paperwork which said it was a five hour minimum and I was told on the phone beforehand that it was a THREE hour minimum (and the girl I spoke with later agreed that is what she told me but it was still like pullling teeth to get my money back). I told them to cover 5 items with plastic, they covered up 23 items and charged me for the extra plastic even though I never told them to cover that much. If you go with these guys, I have one word of suggestion: PAY WITH CREDIT CARD SO YOU CAN DISPUTE CHARGES!"

"Generally speaking the service side of the business was good overall. They helped me find suitable storage unit that would fit my furnishings and they came in person to meet me to bid the project. It was a big move and many of my items are old, fragile and expensive. They promised to use blankets but instead used paper and shrink wrap 90% of the time. In fact, when they had loaded the truck, there were so many unused blankets, they could hardly close the door and we had to leave behind furniture. When it came to the bodies that showed up to do the labor, they were hard workers and generally diligent. Problems started when hardwood floors started taking damage. I made requests of management to help me fix them before the new owner performed her final inspection prior to closing. Despite these requests to help me fix the damage (or at least come look at the damage) caused by the workers, the only response I got was silence. I sit here within days of closing hoping that the damage is not severe enough that it costs me money out of my pocket to repair the floors. Next, the workers showed up hours late, got lost several times and took an hour to drive from south
Dallas Movers Provider Name Locked
to my house. A trip that takes 15 minutes with traffic. At $110.00 per hour, that was an expensive trip for me. I'd say my biggest complaint with this service was the lack of planning and delay. The crew underestimated the work to be done and began to hurry towards the end. They repeatedly resisted me when I explained that the move had to be completed in 1 day and that they could not come back another day leaving the move half completed and trash everywhere. When we arrived at storage, I had to use their equipment to help unload the truck to get things going. Finally, when we returned to get the balance of the house and garage out, they really began to hurry to the point where they were dumping my files into garbage bags to save time. This was totally unacceptable. The gentleman who came out in person bid the job knew there was significant packing to be done. I even purchased $200.00 in supplies through the company to help pack. Bottom line, they were in a rush, it was late (almost 9:00 pm) and they were cutting corners. When I move my belongings out of storage to new home in a few months, rearranging hundreds of pages of paper files is going to be my lasting impression of the company assuming I don't find damaged furniture in the process.

"I needed to move about half of my household to an apartment three miles away. I was told the movers would be at my house at 8 in the morning. They were several hours late. The excuse I was given was that since it was cold outside they were having trouble getting the truck engine started. I found this out AFTER I called, with no courtesy call from the moving company. They forgot to move a few items but did take very good care of the more delicate furniture. Nothing was damaged. When it came time to pay the bill they asked to be paid in cash and tried to discourage me from paying with a check, which seemed sketchy to me. After the move I realized something was left on the truck so I called and after a few days they did return it to me."

"
Dallas Movers Provider Name Locked
, the team lead, was pleasant and professional. The team arrived thirty minutes late due to a heavy summer work schedule and forgot some of the tools they needed, but quickly began doing the work. The truck was packed well and tight and there was very little shifting of the load during the long drive from Texas to Michigan. There was very little damage to the furniture. A couple pieces sustained nicks, and one table obtained a notable wear in two spots that will require repair, but overall, for this type of move, the amount of damage was minimal and acceptable. I would have preferred some of the pieces, like the leather sofas and chairs to have been wrapped in plastic, but they were not. If you have specific pieces that you would like wrapped and covered before leaving your property, then it would be a good idea to make this clear. I believe if I would have requested that work to be done that the team would have done as I asked. They were responsive, kind and easy to work with. The only issue is that I was to receive a receipt copy via email and have not received it to date. The only problem I had is that I did not get the right kind of moving straps or enough pads at first. If they are packing your truck make sure to get an enormous amount of moving pads and have them tell you what kind of straps to get and where to get them. I spent $140 on the wrong kind of straps, which was my fault, not theirs. Overall I would use them again. The service was excellent, but it was a solid GOOD and I felt like I received good value for my money."
