"AHS is a fine company to work with, and internally they consider you a great customer as long as you don't have a claim. Our ac went out on 5/22. They do not consistently use contractors that have serviced you before, regardless of how well they have performed for you. If you want to work with the same contractor and service rep as in the past, they make you pay for it. As a result, there is no bank of knowledge or familiarity with the equipment.
We were not able to get a service call until 5/24. During that callthey advised that they would need to install a new compressor. we were informed they would have to come back the next day. We received a call today advising AHS would not authorize a new compressor and they would need to take it to the manufacturer to be tested. This is a process that will take 3 days, which won't start until a day from now, as the contractorhas other non-warranty calls prior. When I called to ask AHS to go to bat for their customer, they lied and said they were just constrained by ordering a new part and it was a deli 
time issue. When I pressed with what their contractor had shared, they admitted that they had required it to be returned to the manufacturer so they would pay for it. This will extend our lack of air cooling to one week during 90 degree days and humidity.
Their lack of building a solid network of contractors, familiar with their customers' homes, in favor of low prices and a revolving door of cheap laborers, make claims resolution difficult. By the time you have a claim, they have your annual fee, you are at their whim, and their margins drive them much more than their customers.

"The ancient central a/c at our rental property died during a hot spell, and we had very unhappy tenants (including a sick baby). Texas Airzone treated it like the critical job it was; they replaced the entire a/c, furnace and coils in one afternoon. The crew was prompt, friendly, laid tarps to avoid mess and cleaned up after themselves.
They also let us split the bill into several payments, understanding that this was a huge unexpected expense for us. I would highly recommend them to anyone."

"Furnace burner was not operating evenly (pulsating). Mr. showed up on time, evaluated the problem, and diagnosed it as a dirty sensor. He cleaned the sensor, brushed & vacuumed the burner & inside the heating box, and put everything back together in approximately 40 minutes. He then tested the thermostat/furnace. Everything's worked fine since then."

"Installer came when expected, but only one man for what was obviously a 2 man job. He had to call for more help on removing the old unit from the attic and installing new one. There was some difficulty in transporting objects in and out as it was in a very small attic. I wasn't too upset with the places where they nicked and scratched door frames, etc., because it was a tight fit. The problem came later when I discovered water dripping from the unit through the ceiling and light fixture directly under it. Of course, by then I had already paid for everything and they seemed to try to blame the problem on condensation, which was ludicrous. The woman who manned the phone gave me a hard time and it took quite awhile to speak to someone who actually would help me. He figured out immediately that they had not installed a "P" trap to carry away the draining water from the unit so it was just leaking through my ceiling. It took some time, but eventually, he came out and repaired the unit. Not only was I stuck with 2 large water stains on the ceiling, but they had also damaged the disappearing attic staircase so that I couldn't even open and close it. I kept calling about getting these items repaired and kept being reassured they would be, but, here it is an entire year later, and no one ever did anything, no one would return my calls, and just generally blew me off. I eventually gave up on them, but will never use them again."

"Actually, I'd been looking for a new HVAC company and when one of my friends told me their unit was dead I told them what I'd read on Angie's list about . She was SO impressed. it started with in the office and continued with and his son. came out and looked at her unit and commented that it had been well installed which is why it lasted 13 years. After evaluating the entire situation he recommended an appropriate unit for her.
Here are the actual comments she sent me in an email..."It went very well. They replaced it on Friday. Very prompt in showing up when they said they would. They laid plastic down from the entry to the attic to bring things in and out of the house. Even vacuumed when finished. Quality installation...that is what they pride themselves on. Soctt was very helpful in helping me make a decision on which type of unit to install and didn't try to oversell. Replaced copper line which one of my neighbors said they seldom do (again, example of quality). I made them blueberry muffins that morning...:)"
Further she told me that brought her a window unit to use until she could be at home to have the new unit installed and they hauled all the debris away. All in all she was VERY satisfied. Thank you! "

"A++!!! We were shocked to read the one review posted from April 2010, we noted that the review was written during an emotional time for the client, which we know can impact one’s view point.
We are experienced & picky home owners, we have renovated over half a dozen homes in the past 15 years, some with HVAC issues - we were EXTREMELY PLEASED to find and his company.
We were beyond IMPRESSED from our first interaction with the team. We met the installation team while they were installing a new system for our neighbor (who ALSO has been very happy with the system installed). One of the installers indicated that he does work for four different HVAC companies in the Metroplex and that HANDS DOWN he would recommend . He said they were the most HONEST and KNOWLEDGEABLE that he worked with. We found the owner to be EXTREMELY THOROUGH in inspecting our current system, answering our questions and presenting our options over a two hour period. When we inquired about adding various components to the system, he actually recommended that we NOT include one component that he felt was unnecessary (therefore saving us money $$$). When we first spoke to him, he told us if we would postpone our installation until after December 21st, we could qualify for a Texas rebate – which we did and it saved us $1,000!
I have never heard of anyone that did not want to make the most of a system that is one of the most expensive systems in a home, and who would not welcome the input of an expert. Not only did they call approximately two weeks after the installation to see if we needed anything or had any questions, but we had our system installed in December, and they sent back out in March for an inspection to ensure we were ready for the Spring – at no expense to us.

They were amazing. We looked at 10 or 15 guys and they are probably the best air conditioning company in Dallas. When they installed everything, it was like artwork. They were upfront about everything and they guy knows what he is doing. Six people came out and got it done in a full day. They moved it from the front of the house and they completely redid the system in the attic because they are good about keeping to code. I won’t even call anyone else from now on.

"I bought this house just 4 months ago.. I knew the AC unit was old, 17 yrs. So I was expecting the worse. Fortunately it is working OK and I was told that it vary well could last me a couple more years. "

they came out, we had to call them to come back because they left something not
working. They would kind of work on our heater and the air conditioner would
not work anymore or work on our air conditioner and our heater would not work
anymore. We were not happy with them. We would not use them in the future."
