"I backed into using Arch by accident - the company I had used previously was bought out by Arch - but I was pleased with my experience. I've seen other companies come in, look around, maybe use a bubble level, and then send you a proposal. The ...more Arch company rep came out and did a thorough structural analysis with an electronic height sensor and prepared an elevation contour map before making his recommendations and explaining them to you. Pricing seemed reasonable per pier. Price includes pre-and post engineer's reports, so you have an independent document for a buyer that the repair was done to spec. My house had some design complications but they were patient and worked with me to get things right. The job included
hammering through outside concrete, but rather than slap any old concrete in there to patch the hole, they went to extra trouble to find concrete that matched best, and it came out matching the old concrete quite nicely. The workers did a very good job of cleaning up when they were done, and the foreman was accessible and happy to answer my questions while the pier work was going on. I would easily recommend Arch to others. "

"A1 Guaranteed Foundation is an extremely professional group. They sent a schematic of the work they suggested that needed to be done and reviewed it completely with me. I scheduled the work. They arrived on time with a crew of six or so. They had the ...more holes dug and the piers installed in very short order. They reviewed everything they were doing each step along the way. When they were done the yard actually looked better than it did when they arrived. They took the time to make certain they did not disturb the sprinkler system and made sure that there were no visible leaks. Before they would certify the work they had In-House Plumbing come out and do a complete inspection for any possile leaks caused by the lifting. If you ever need a plumber I would strongly encourage using In-House. They did a great job and continue to follow-up to make sure there are no issues.
I would highly recommend using both of the companies should you need their type of services. I could not have been happier.

, with Structured Foundations, came to my home in Lake Highlands area of Dallas at my request and gave me a free inspection. He took detailed measurements and took precise readings. He inspected the exterior of the house and under our pier and beam home. He took the time to explain his findings and also physically showed us ...more the issues on the exterior walls. He then explained the work that Structured would be doing to correct the foundation issues. A few days later, a third party engineer came out to verify Structured's findings and determined that Structured Foundations' measurements were accurate and that the proposed work would correct the problems found. Everything has gone perfectly to date. We expect to be enjoying the results of their work for the rest of our lives, thanks to the Lifetime Warranty offered by Structured Foundations. "
came and was very nice and professional. He showed up on time to give the bid and actually told me the places I thought I had problems were actually not problems. Just cosmetic. I appreciated his honesty. I would recommend these guys to anyone and plan on using them when the time comes.
"We could not have been more pleased with the service from Abacus. We recently bought our house and had three different opinions as to the foundation from various people. We decided it would be best to hire a third party company to make the evaluation as to the foundation to ensure we knew what problems, if any, to address. They provided detailed information ...more for our review along with their recommendation. They confirmed that our foundation was fine and there was no evidence to support taking any further action at this time. "
"I spent months trying to decide which foundation company to use. The quotes and approaches to addressing the issues were thousands of dollars apart, so I couldn't compare apples to apples. I finally hired a foundation "expert" and that didn't help me know who to choose or what to do, but did make me aware that water runoff from my ...more roof was an additional issue I needed to address to prevent future foundation issues.
Upon the recommendation of a neighbor who had been pleased with
work one on her home, I asked
, owner of
, for an estimate. Not only was his quote several thousand dollars less than some other companies with nearly the same amount of work, but he was able to give me a firm price for excavation work, since the crawl space under my pier and beam home was very limited. One other company I was considering told me they'd have to see how much excavation was needed once they began the work, and it would cost me $300.00/hr.
The day the work was scheduled to begin, we had a torrential downpour, five inches of rain, so we had to wait several days for things to dry out before they could begin. Since the soil was now heavier, it made the work for his crew, but they worked hard and consistently, spending two days in excavation work. It would have cost me a fortune at the other company's rate, so I was grateful knowing upfront what it would cost, which I thought was very reasonable, considering how much work they did.
We also had two days of rain in the middle of the work, and the crew made tarps diverting the water away from all the openings under my house to protect the work they had done.
My house was challenging because of the landscaping I had already put in close to my house. Although some plant destruction was unavoidable, hey moved plants that would be ruined, and were careful with the others that were nearby.
In some areas my home had to be lifted several inches, and they carefully monitered the work from above and below to keep from overlifting and damaging pipes or sewer lines. In a few areas, where they noticed issues already present, they took note and made me aware, then flagged those areas and any new ones that needed attention to make it easier for my plumber to find them.
My foundation now feels very solid. I didn't realize how bad it had gotten until I had it repaired and now I see how solid it feels. Before, I would walk by my china cabinet and all the dishes would rattle and the doors would bang. Now I hear nothing but my footsteps.
Even though having foundation work done is a stressful process,
was always personable and professional, and when I was getting estimates, he even came out a second time when I had more questions. Whenever I had a question or concern, he addressed it immediately and adequately. His crew is hard-working, friendly, and conscientious.
I would definitely recommend
, and am planning to use them to install new flashing around my home because I know they will do it right, and in a way that will protect my foundation. "
" My house is a 46 year old pier and beam. They were finished in 2 days. I am beyond happy with the results. Only one minor crack in the ceiling and this is with all sides of the house being lifted. The floors are even once again, no more sloping. Wonderful transferrable warranty.
Excellent workers, very professional.
the job ...more manager for lifting the house could not have been nicer.
I shopped around before deciding to go with
. They offered the best price for the work. I truly appreciated that they did not try to oversell me. The original estimator,
, fully explained the process and what it would involve. He was available and very patient in answering all my questions.
I highly recommend
"Took the time to walk the property both inside and out to evaluate, then went unto the crawl space and looked around. Admitted that even though there was a slight slope at one point in the house, the floors walked fine and everything was structurally good, and did not recommend any services at this time. He also gave some advice on drainage/water ...more issues on the property to be aware of and how to address them. Professional, showed up right on time, personable, and took the time to understand and answer. "
"Wonderful. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for an opinion. We are selling our house and our potential buyers got an estimate from another company. That company said we needed more than 10 piers. We knew that wasn't possible--we have watered our foundation and been very careful--and called a bunch of companies to get additional opinions. ...more
was recommended to us by a neighbor so I called him (very early this morning). We were on a crunched schedule and he came out quickly. When we got our results, we found out he agreed with another company--we need 0 piers compared to more than 10 from another company. Additionally,
suggested an engineer to us should our potential buyers be dissatisfied with these assessments. "
