Dallas Drywall Contractors Reviews

is someone I have used for multiple projects since purchasing my 1924 Oak Cliff bungalow in Kings Highway Conservation District back in 2009. He knows old homes and he can do almost anything. He built the small house in our back yard, built our custom fence, installed a custom back door, etc. He is honest, hardworking and very talented. I trust him in our home and was recommended to me by many people in the neighborhood when I purchased the house and I have recommended him over and over again.
I do schedule ahead of time. He is super busy, but I'm willing to wait for someone I trust.

was awesome! She's an inspiration to me. I originally was going to try to do this bathroom project myself, but after a number of mishaps and then a texturing experiment went awry, I threw up my hands and called in an expert. My bathroom had popcorn ceilings, a roughly textured wall, and this overhang thing that I had taken down, leaving a giant hole in the wall and ceiling.

replaced the drywall, smoothed out all the walls, and textured everything evenly. It took longer than anticipated but she was working hard the whole time, and the quality looks great to me. She even pulled the toilet for me so I could paint behind it more easily. I could tell she values quality and getting the job done right. The price did end up being more than I expected, but I was still glad that she didn't just try to slap it together quickly and leave. I would still agree that it was a good value for the money. I also would highly recommend

for any job or have her come back do work for me again if I needed it. I was so inspired though that I jumped back in today with priming and painting the walls myself!

and his guys are prompt which I love. Removed the skylight, which was leaking, repainted the entire ceiling so that you cannot tell there ever was a skylight there, patched the roof and did an overall excellent job. I would DEFINITELY recommend them and I will use them again."
"The moment we met him we felt comfortable with his ethics and his skill set. He even showed up to do the quote with a resume so we could see his qualifications. He was a few minutes early which was nice and made us feel like he cared about our home instead of rushing He stuck with the quote provided yet went the extra mile for other touch ups he saw we needed. I've never seen two employees really get down to business and work as hard as these guys did. My husband and I were pleased with his work and would call him in the future. thank you

"I took the afternoon off and scheduled several contractors (including the
Dallas Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
) to come out on the afternoon of Thursday, December 12th. I had spoken with their VP of Operations and scheduled them to come out at 1:00 PM. On my way to work that morning, my wife called me at about 8:50 AM and said the
Dallas Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
was at the house. I told the
Dallas Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
that the appointment was scheduled for 1:00 PM and he would have to come back.

I left work at about 12:30 PM and got home at about 12:50 PM. The
Dallas Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
showed up at about 1:15 PM, he and I walked through the project and we agreed it was a fairly
Dallas Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
project. He told me he had to get supplies and he headed to Home Depot. He returned at around 2:45 PM. He began working on the project and I checked on him periodically. He did not seem to be making much progress on the project and said he wished he would have brought all of his tools. After about 3 hours of working on the project and being about 25% complete, he said he would return on Friday, to complete the job. He said he would bring his tools with him and get this knocked out quickly. I said I could meet him at 1:00 PM on Friday afternoon but this had to be done as I was having a holiday party on Saturday. He assured me if he had the right tools he would be done.

After he left, I called their office. I spoke to the VP of Operations and walked him through the situation. I said I did not have much confidence that the individual would finish the job up on Friday. The VP of Operations said he would find someone to complete the project. On Friday, I placed several calls to the VP of Operations, when we spoke about 10 AM on Friday, he said the individual that was out on Thursday would be back out there on Friday because he wanted to finish the job he started. The individual had said he just did not have the right tools and he could finish quickly as he would have all of his tools on Friday.
I got home at about 1:15 PM on Friday and the
Dallas Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
showed up at about 2:00 PM. He brought all of his tools in from his truck in one load and did bother to take off his work boots. We had had an ice storm in the area only a few days before and the ground was very muddy. The

walked on the rug in my children's playroom and left about 6 - 8 large extremely dirty shoe prints on the rug. As I walked back to check on him, he was trying to clean them up and I told him he was lucky that I have a carpet cleaner coming over later that afternoon.

got started at about 2:15 PM or so and I ask him, how long will it take. He told me 1.5 hours but he hoped to be done sooner. I say great, I have a party tomorrow and this needs to be done. I check on him about every hour and after the first 2 hours, I am concerned that he will not finish. I walk in about 5:45 PM and take a look at the job and the drywall and texture looked worse than it did when he started the project. He had patched one of the holes and he was working on the largest one. He said the problem he was having was that the patch material would not dry on the largest patch. I proceeded to tell him, that was why I scheduled the project on Thursday, so if there were delays due to the patch material not drying, he could have applied the final texture on Friday, painted the area and then reset the towel bar and toilet paper holder.
I asked him to leave and not to come back. I called the VP of Operations and discussed the situation, he said he would do his best to have a painter come out on Saturday. He said he would call me Saturday morning. I called the VP of Operation a couple of times on Saturday morning and he called me back at about 11:00 AM to tell me he was still trying to get in touch with his painter. At about 1:00 PM, he called to tell me the painter was tied up all day but could come out on Sunday to finish the job. I told the VP of Operations, that would not work, our party was Saturday night and Sunday was not an option for me. He apologized for the service and I told him I appreciated him calling me back but that I had told him on Thursday night that I had some pretty serious concerns about the ability of the
Dallas Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
that they sent out on Thursday and that they should send someone else out on Friday to complete the job. I went on to say to the VP of Operations, you heard my concerns and then proceeded to not listen to them and instead sent out someone that did not seem qualified to complete the job.
Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the service. I spent at least 2 - 3 hours working with the
Dallas Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
the VP of Operations trying to get this project completed. I would have been better off if I would have just done it myself. I understadnd that sometimes projects take longer to complete than originally planned. If they would have completed the project and the results looked great, I would not have had a problem paying them for the additional hours they worked. Instread I now have to either do this myself or find someone else.
"Work quality was excellent. Workers were pleasant and dependable. Very pleased with the results and would recommend them and work with them again.
"The contractor was quick to respond to our Angie's list inquiry. He spent several hours with us reviewing the job before placing his bid. His initial bid was within the same range as two other bids we had received when we were choosing our contractor, but changed after the job began....
Several things were disappointing about this contractor's work:
1) The contractor underestimated his labor in his original bid-the contractor should have taken more time to accurately estimate his labor instead of expecting the client to pay additional fees at the end of the job. This dropped his score on price from a "B" to a "C"
2) The contractor never showed any invoices for supplies he purchased for the job (that we had agreed to reimburse to him)-He just stated we owed him "x" amount of dollars for the supplies. This dropped his score on price from a "C" to a "D"
1) The plaster work in several rooms had multiple patches of air bubbles that needed to be repaired, and a wood inlaid floor in need of restoration was "undetectably restored". This dropped his score on Quality from a "B" to a "C"
1) The contractor was hesitant to repair items on "the punch list" that were unsatisfactory to us (i.e. the air bubbles in the plaster and the wood inlaid floor). We really had to press him to finish the work after we had paid him, and he never returned the key after completing the job. This dropped his score on Responsiveness from a "B" to a "C"

In summary, When people plan a remodel on a budget, it is disheartening to work with a contractor that either can't, or won't, manage a budget for the job-"D" for professionalism

"I am beyond pleased with
Dallas Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
's work. He was punctual, provided valuable help and assistance in picking the right types of paints/stains, and completed the work quickly and efficiently without comprosing attention to detail. I painted a portion of my cabinets white and stained another portion a dark, espresso-like color.
Dallas Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
was able to match the white paint with my trim perfectly. He also suggested using a solid exterior stain for the dark cabinetry - initially I hesitated fearing it would look like an outdoor deck, but the finished product looks incredible. His work freshened up the entire look of the house. Very grateful for his diligent work.

and his crew applied new plaster and repainted ugly old walls inside multiple rooms in the church and made them look brand new with a nice taupe finish. Then they repainted all of the doors and wood trim with a black
Dallas Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
finish. It looks fantastic. They also set up scaffolding and retextured and painted a part of the sanctuary ceiling 35 feet overhead that had discolored due to water damage. I wasn't sure that they could match the existing ceiling texture and paint color, but when they were all finished, you couldn't even tell it was redone! It looked perfect!
"As I have stated in my previous 2 reviews,
Dallas Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
& his guys do great work. So, I keep having them do more. This time, they gutted my guest bathroom & replaced the old tub with a beautiful new one as well as updating the shower, tile floor & walls, painting, etc. They took out all of the 1996 ugly wallpaper & made that guest bathroom look amazing. My friends cant believe it's the same bathroom.
In regards to the powder room, they again had to remove some ancient wallpaper & painted it with a beautiful color that really complements the wood floor. He also had a sub-contractor make a custom-made granite top for my vanity which makes the bathroom really pop.
Dallas Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
has really made my townhome beautiful. Plus, the quality of their work reassures me that the work will last. No one else will be able to do work in my home unless they are part of the
Dallas Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
family. If you want quality work, choose them.
