"The experience was great. I had a very specific design (modern) in mind, which they were able to create perfectly. They arrived on time and finished the job in one day. It was very well done - the quality was excellent. Their price was $1000 less than another contractor and I am confident the quality was much better. Our neighbors are quite impressed. I would use them again in a heartbeat."

"Very poorly and its still not finished over 2 months later. The unresponsiveness of the company has wasted my families time in addition to the frustration in their poor work, so far. We hold out hope that they will solve this, but they have not listened when we have given them dates, well in advance, to schedule the repair work, to minimize the further impact on our family. They did the work the first time and did not want to pay attention to the rain clouds or forecast, or our warnings of the coming rain. The end result had blotches, and when they came back to fix it, there was not agreement between the company and their subcontractors, and the results were terrible. Now, we are struggling to get a committed date from them to completely redo the job, which they have agreed to do. The intentions are good, but the execution, communication and delivery are not, yet.
UPDATE - they came back and fixed the issue."

"There are no middlemen in the work and the person who started the work was the one who completed it. He did a fabulous job and allowed me to make some changes as well. I was satisfied with his service."

"When I called for an estimate, the owner, , responded promptly and came to the house on a Saturday to give me an estimate. The price was reasonable and he accepted the Angie's List coupon. His crew (and him) showed up on time, did great work and cleaned up afterwards. I highly recommend this company. I would use him again."

"I got estimates from 3 other companies and this company was the cheapest. was able to come by and give an estimate on the same day that I called him. Overall, the job went well. We scheduled for 1 day but they did not show up. Their truck had broken down and they had lost my phone number, so I was left wondering what happened. They came by later and left a note about what happened. We rescheduled for the following week. They came by and did the job with no problems. They were polite and easy to work with."

"Although the complete job took longer than originally estimated, unforeseen problems were dealt with using very thorough and professional solutions. In the course of cutting out old cracks in patio it was found that underneath patio was some loose bricks, as well as a small original slab. All loose items were removed and rebar was drilled into the sides of the remaining concrete to reinforce new patches before stone was laid on top."

"The job went smoothly from start to finish (one day). He gave me terrific after-care instructions that resulted in a beautiful salt finished patio contrasted nicely by three contemporary brush finished long steps that complement the late fifties contemporary look of our home to a T. The best part of working with was how he listened to my idea of what I wanted and then translated it to an even better look. Where I had said I wanted three steps as wide as the doors, he explained how much better the steps would look if they ran the whole length of the wall. He was right. It looks great. And where I wanted several 3 foot squares, he explained how much more functional larger squares would be, for the placement of patio furniture, etc, and how four equal sized squares would have much better eye appeal. Once again, he was dead on right. Not to mention how much he saved me on all that extra monkey grass it would have taken to border that many more squares. He did the work a while ago, about a month and a half. I've just been waiting for the salt finish to show up (it takes a while to do, it's work) before I wrote his review so I could brag on that, too. It looks great."

"Mr. and were beyond wonderful! They showed up on time, cleared out all the gravel, laid the rebar, poured, smoothed and molded the concrete, and cleaned up everything afterwards. The work performed was exactly, if not better, than what was discussed. Mr. 's assistants were polite, hardworking, and masterful! Cement work is like an art form and Mr. and his crew are artists! They did a beautiful job and I was beyond thrilled. They were professional, skillful, punctual, tidy, and delivered on everything promised within the price agreed. I give them my highest recommendation and plan on using them again for all my future concrete work!"

"We hired Nugent to pour a concrete and pier foundation for our new detached 2-car garage. While he was very enthusiastic and cooperative at the first meeting and at the contract signing, it took about 4 months to get it started. There was some bad weather, but there was no contact when the weather permitted and it could have been started. He did finally do the job in a timely manner once it was started, but he breached his contract. While he agreed and signed to taking full payment at the completion of the project, he demanded half payment during the middle of the job. He then flared up and demanded the remaining amount when the concrete was still wet and the form boards were still attached with a very messy work site. His flaring temper and unprofessional demeanor made him very difficult to deal with. He also convinced us that we needed a larger apron than what was specified on the plans and then charged us an unexpected $6.00 per s.f. for flat pouring that he advertises for at $3.50, which, again, was not part of the original plans. Personally, he is a very fast talker and always exhibits a sense of immediacy, which is uncomfortable in doing business with him."
