"Very unsatisfactory experience. Made an on-line appointment for between 8 - 10 AM on Friday 4/29. This time was confirmed the day prior by the company. By 10:45 on day of appointment, no call or appearance by technician, I phoned and e-mailed to request whereabouts. Technician phoned approximately 11:15 AM to say he was "running an hour behind" - whatever that means. Was after noon when truck drome up to my residence. Technician remained in vehicle for 15020 minutes on telephone. Finally rang doorbell at nearly 12:30. Complained of how much computer time he had to spend doing paperwork. Took 5 minutes to tell me the dryer belt needed replaced, but he didn't have part - could I wait until tomorrow? I'd supplied make and model of appliance in on-line appointment interview, and described exactly what was wrong (dryer drum didn't turn) in the same interview. When I declined to wait another day for their repair, the technician wanted to argue that I should do it - "because you're going to pay me $90.00 anyway". After my comment that I could buy a new dryer for $300.00, he asked me to donate my appliance (to him?) This REALLY stuck in my craw.
I would never use this company again. They charge higher than top dollar for their services, and then to attempt to coerce a homeowner to donate to the staff is highly unprofessional.
After stewing with my frustration for a couple of hours, I decided to stop payment on the check I had been forced to give the technician I discovered that he had cashed the check the minute he left my house - not even endorsed to the company.
Can't believe people can get away with what was a 95.00 theft."

"Arrived within the time estimate. Was accompanied by trainee. Work was completed in timely manner. Technicians were friendly and helpful. Had to work around a failure that occurred during wash cycle."

"We had two other individuals out before who were sent by GE. Neither one fixed the problem and the second one even tried to tell us that there wasn't a leak (even though we could smell the gas!) We paid more money with the GE people to repair valves that were apparently not even faulty. Before calling Mr. , I actually contacted another company that had an "A" rating on Angie's List, who at least told me that they would not even attempt it since it was a Monogram and a GE technician had not been able to repair it. Anyway, Mr. was very knowledgable, very polite, and did an outstanding job. He showed me the leak once he found it, which I really appreciated, given all of the trouble we've had trying to get this fixed. He also make some other recommendations for us, which were not things that would bring him more business, but were just helpful for us to know. We are very happy we chose Mr. and would absolutely call him again if we have any issues with our appliances in the future!"

"The repair to the washer was very slight, only a hose had come loose inside of it. Arnie [company owner] and his son showed my husband and me how to fix it if it came loose in the future, and this would have only been $60. But, we also decided to have them clean our dryer, and service it, which they did, and even changed the door position so that it opened more comveniently towards the washer. They cleaned around under both washer and dryer with a vaccum they brought, were pleasant and polite, very professional. They were prompt, coming when they said that they would arrive, worked quickly and were very reasonable. Our dryer had never been serviced in 10 years, and they made a few repairs to it to keep it running well. Very happy, recommend them highly, will definately use them again."

"Tech was courteous and professional, seemed competent. "Between 8 and 12" apparently means 12:30.
Labor charge seemed extremely high relative to prior experience with other service providers. $300 to install a part that is available online for $83; tech was at our home for 1.5 hours. Oddly, full payment was required in advance after inspecting the unit, before ordering a part.
We will shop around next time before calling these guys. I wish we had not misplaced the contact information for the firm we had previously used!"

"For awhile our Maytag gas range oven door would not close completely to the point where heat would escape while it was being used(unless we wedged something up against it).. After doing a some quick Google searches it looked like the door hinges went bad, but not really something you could fix. So I went to the Maytag repair site and scheduled an appointment with a repair tech. They gave me 3 different companies as options and had the best score on Angies list.
First off, I made this appointment before we had all the inclement weather here in Dallas(February 2011) but even with all the ice and snow on the ground on the schedule date, the repair tech still braved his way out to our house. He was very polite and clean(puttng on those pull over booties they wear) even though we told him not to worry as our dogs had already made a mess of the floor. He diagnosed the problem and concurred with what I found out online, that it was the hinges. Unfortunately due to the snow he wouldn't be able to get the replacements that day so we scheduled it for the following Friday. On which he showed up close to the beginning of the 3 hour time window they gave and fixed the oven door pretty quick. He was a very friendly guy and knows his stuff. I will definitely call on again if I need some appliance repair.
Thanks guys!"

"I really like them. I spent $84 on that work. I had used them earlier to fix my oven as well. They were great. They are fast, nice and had the part on them and can come out almost immediately. They are knowledgeable, they are fast with the work, professional and their prices are good. "

"Both times it went well -- did only the work necessary. He returned my call promptly and came exactly when he promised he would. His prices are very reasonable and his work is excellent."

"Called on Wednesday and schedule appt. for Friday. Arrived within time window I was given. Told me motor on dryer went out. Suggested getting a new dryer it is over 15 years old. He said could get a motor for it and repair it which I went with. He also noticed that gasket on drum was going out and also need to be replaced. He took the drum with him because he said the new gasket had to be glued on and took 24 hours to dry. He said would come back out on Saturday. They were not able to come out on Saturday because the glue on the gasket was not dry. They asked what time they could out out tomorrow which was Sunday! They came out on Sunday, installed drum and new motor. He also noticed a problem with the washer, which he also repaired.
To be fair there were a couple of very minor issues. On Sunday he got the time mixed up on when he was coming out and also lost the invoice with my address. They called and both were handled over the phone. Since he was coming out on Sunday was not a big deal to me.
I usually call since our appliances are but they could not come out for several days. 's service charge is also double what I paid.
I highly recommend using ."

"Having just installed a very expensive induction cooktop that was stored in my garage for over a year while I've renovated my kitchen myself, I cracked the glass surface just hours later and freaked! As I'm new to the technology and new to a glass cooktop, I was concerned the whole unit was gone.
Pending regaining my composure and making some phone calls, I determined these glass surfaces are fairly fragile and it's not uncommon to break one. Although, I did learn through some further internet research that they are expensive to replace, especially for the unit I own. I first called the authorized service center (who is also very highly regarded here on Angie's list) and wasn't very pleased with their responsiveness and especially their pricing. They quoted me $660 just for the replacement glass plus $25 per 15 minutes of labor and it would take at least 6 labor intervals to accomplish the work - basically at least $150 in labor "but we just don't know."
Doing some more internet research, I read several accounts that this is really very easy to replacement service. After a call to the manufacturer, the manufacturer sold me the glass top directly for $200 cheaper than the servicer's quote and gave me some confidence I could replace this myself. No way could I afford $1000 in parts and service. I had also been running some traps by calling several Angie's list repairmen inquiring about their services to simply replace the top I supply them, not trusting my skills at replacement.
While several repair techs would not install the part if they didn't obtain it through their suppliers, said it was no big deal to him where the part came from. In fact, Mr. said he thought he could replacement for no more than $75. I thought I'd take my chances with Mr. as $75 was a pretty good price for an expert to take care of this in of myself. He arrived early, was very professional, and not only replaced the glass top, but went ahead and fully installed the entire unit as I had taken it out after damaging it originally. This glass top was soooo easy to replace. I?ll definitely handle this myself in the future ? it?s literally less than 10 minutes of work. I think this is why Mr. went ahead and installed the whole unit as he never previously agreed to provide this service. Mr. is extremely fair and honorable. So instead of getting gouged for no reason other than to line someone's pockets, Mr. fixed me and went on about his day. I definitely would recommend him to anyone."
