"This clinic was recommended by the woman who is teaching my puppy obedience class and by a few people I've met at the dog park. My prior veterinarian of 19 years has a great "bedside manner" but, after going through cancer with a now deceased dog which resulted in much online research on my part, I decided I want more holistic options than my old vet offers.
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
has OSU educated veterinarians who practice traditional veterinarian medicine but they are also comfortable limiting vaccines to those required by law and the dog's lifestyle, and doing titer tests instead of annual re-vaccinations when appropriate. I spent about an hour at the appointment today and both Dr.
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
and the vet technician,
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
, were patient with my many questions about diet and the spay process. I felt like Dr.

gave my dog a thorough

exam.
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
has a program where you pay a one-time $69 (part of the above service cost shown for today) and from that point on the cost of common vaccines is complimentary when you come in and pay for an annual examination. I felt like the charges on my bill were reasonable - in range with my old veterinarian for the office visit and less for the blood panel than my old vet charges. The staff were all friendly to both me and the dog. Facility was clean and modern. I received an appointment reminder email the day before. I was seen promptly and given as much time as required for the purpose of the visit. They handle payments in the exam room which I found nice in that it avoids the typical chaos of trying to sign a credit card receipt while the dog is pulling toward the door and trying to

"Last month we came to the understanding that it was best that our 12 year old golden retriever be put to sleep. This was an incredibly difficult time for our family and we felt that it should be done in our house versus taking our dog to a clinic. Our normal vet does not make house calls. After reading many reviews, we turned to Dr
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
. Within 24 hours of our first call, Dr
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
was out to see us. She handled this this situation with the utmost professionalism and empathy. I would highly recommend Dr

to any pet owner.

"I was originally referred to Dr.
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
by a friend of mine when I was lamenting the fact that my cat, Punkin, HATED riding in the car. He would hyperventilate and pee in my car every time I tried to take him to a vet, and obviously I didn't want to stress him out any more than I had to. So, I was thrilled to find a vet who could come to my house. Dr.
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
had been caring for my Punkin since mid-2012 when he had, what we thought was, kidney failure. She and her technician came out 3 times per week for a few weeks to give him sub-q fluids (starting off during an 8 day power outage in the heat of
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
, no less). Miraculously, he appeared to make a full recovery, and various checks after that showed that he seemed to be doing fine. Until the beginning of October of this year when he started showing signs of dehydration, along with strange drooling, lethargy, and hiding out. He appeared to be declining rapidly, and I called Dr.
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
and she was able to come out the next day. Since she had cared for him previously, she could tell as soon as she saw him that something was gravely wrong. She wasn't sure what it was, but she knew it was pretty bad, and unfortunately I was scheduled to go out of town the next day so we didn't have a lot of time for tests and whatnot. So, because of his age and his history, and the fact that I didn't want him to suffer any more than he had, I decided to have him put to sleep. She told me that I had made a hard choice, but she felt I had done the right thing, which was very comforting. She and her technician were able to put Punkin down in his own home instead of traumatizing him by taking him to a strange vet's office. Dr.
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
explained what was going to happen, and she gave me some time with him to say goodbye. I feel like I had top notch care from Dr.
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
and her technician throughout the time she cared for him, and I can't thank her enough for the care she gave my beloved kitty. She even sent me a condolence card afterwards, which meant so much to me.

"I brought my cat Daisy here for an appointment because she was not like her normal self. The appointment was at 5:30 pm on Friday only 30 mins before they close. This was the first time I had been to this particular vet and when I walked in everyone was very friendly. Dr.
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
examined Daisy and asked questions, then she felt her abdomen, which had a very large abnormal mass. Within 3 minuets Daisy was having an X-
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
and 7 mins later Dr.
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
came in with some not so good news. It was between emergency surgery or euthanasia. I choose surgery and within 15 mins Daisy was being prepped for surgery. I got a call at 7:00 p.m. telling me the the surgery was a success and that she had ingested....wait for it....26 Hair ties, 6 types of plastic, 2 rubber-bands, and some Easter grass. Everyone in that office stayed late just for Daisy and I could not thank them enough. Two days later she is recovering very well. There are no words the describe how amazing this whole office is.

"I couldn't be happier or luckier.
My vet, Dr
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
from Willow Wood Animal Hospital shared it looked like my
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
Inu had a torn meniscus and the only way to fix it was surgery. He strongly recommended Dr
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
as he was "his favorite" little did I know the front desk shared Dr
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
used Dr
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
on his OWN animals.....no need to tell me more than once. I didn't want anyone else touching my little dog.
I called
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
Vet and asked for a consultation with Dr
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
. When we shared
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
referred us, we got it 2 days later for his consultation. By the end of that Wed we were advised he was an ideal candidate for surgery and he was scheduled that next day. He was the last to go being the least critical so that was OK..they needed to accommodate those who ER surprises, etc.
From start to finish the process at
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
has been flawless. You sign in, get partnered with a student vet who does the initial assessment. You get an acting physician who both walk you through options. Your surgeon is assigned to you. The ONLY THING I wanted assurance was that Dr
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
would be doing the surgery. That's all I cared about aside from my dog's optimal health/wellness. I was assured everyone I met would be in the OR but yes,
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
would be doing it. Fine. I paid half up front and then the other half upon pick up the day after surgery. 3 meds - 2 pain killers and one antibiotic. 5 pages of instructions and feedback provided to me upon pick up. The pick up didn't end...I was advised to schedule stitches removal for 2 weeks post surgery then to call or email with an update 30 days after surgery. Did I mention there is a fabulous caretaker who runs the parking lot to make sure you were given a pass to park there that is good for up to 6 months from the date of your initial visit? He was very much an onsite friend to everyone making sure you knew were parking was, soda machines, etc. When a rather large doberman came in he made sure they waited outside as the dog was causing disruption to the rest of us. I felt like I was at a high end
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
property.
Today we went back for his stitches removal and it was quick and painless. My little dog is near perfect as far as his recovery. I'm beyond THRILLED.
If you care anything about your pet and no question you do..and you need care for your pet at the recommendation of your vet - go to
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
Vet Hospital. The staff is impeccable. They are professional. SAME consistent level of treatment from start to finish. The STUDENT vets are incredible people. It was like talking to a professional who had been in business over 10 years. They dummied down language to a non-vet level and made it easy for you to understand your options. These people are very special and you can tell they truly care about animals. You and your pet are in very good hands. It's amazing!
Yes, it is not cheap but why do you want cheap? Do you really want a flunkie handling your pet? Your best friend who relies on you 24/7? No way. I was ready for the worst in cost and while it wasn't the worst case quoted it was pricey and it was still worth it to me. My pet came to me at a much needed time in my life 5 years ago and he deserves optimal care and health/wellness while he's alive with me. He deserves the best and that's what I found at
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
.
I adore Dr
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
and his staff at
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
. I've never felt so secure and so safe ever. Interestingly enough 3 days after my dog's surgery I ran into a lady who used to work for Dr
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
and another friend who had to wait weeks to get in...both sharing rave reviews about their experiences.
My experiences with this process so far have been perfect and my dog's health is on the road back to full blown success. Thank you to Dr
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
and his team. I'm so very happy!!!

"Our first trip to Rascal had a few issues, but nothing so bad that we were unhappy with them or wouldn't go back. We had rescued a non-feral stray cat from our yard and took him in to be tested, given shots, and fixed. Since they prioritize emergency cases (rightly so), we agreed to leave him overnight. The next morning, nobody had called to say his surgery was done, so I called. I was told that they hadn't done anything to him yet--no tests or shots or anything--because there were a few things on the estimate that they didn't realize I had given them permission to do. Once we sorted that out, everything went fine! We got a call a few hours later that kitty was done with surgery and everything else, and that we could come and get him. 2 weeks later, he is a very happy and healthy dude! We got all of the following things done for just over $200: at least 2 shots, neuter surgery, flea treatment, deworming, microchip, testing for FeLV and FIV, and a general exam. That total also included the fee for a drop-off and a walk-in (which varies depending on the time of day). If we had gone to our regular vet, we could not have afforded all of these things!
We were at Rascal again on 9/13 because our 11-year old cat needed to be put down due to illness. I had heard from a friend that they were very compassionate and kind when she had to have her own pet put down last month, and she was right. We received sympathy and compassion and consideration during our visit, and so did our cat. They got us into a room immediately and did what they could to make our kitty comfortable. The ladies at the front desk and our vet tech spoke to us in very soft voices and allowed us several minutes alone with our friend before summoning the doctor. Our doctor was very kind and conscientious--I informed her that I have a phobia about needles and would need to turn away, and she actually performed the injections under the blanket so the needles weren't showing, just in case I happened to look up. (My husband told me about that afterwards.) We were so greatful to the staff for their help and kindness yesterday--they helped us through one of the most difficult days of our lives. Since this should be an informative review, I will add that the cost of euthanasia for our cat was $35.99. We were not charged extra for being present (which had happened to me before at a different vet in a different city).

"BVH is the best vet clinic in the city. Dr
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
, my primary vet, has taken care of my pets for nearly 8 years. She is one of the most professional and one of the kindest people I have ever met. I have a cat with diabetes, a cat with a rebuilt urinary system, an elderly dog, and Dr
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
helps to keep them in top shape. I also have taken several strays to BVH for care and the vets and techs are always kind and helpful. I recommend BVH to anyone looking for comprehensive, compassionate care for their pets."

"I've been pleased with the services. I've been happy with their service. I've used their wellness plan. It brings the price down quite a bit. I don't need to call for an appointment. I can just walk in."

"My sense of this and subsequent experiences is that they were going to push as much product on me as they could get away with. I'm currently looking for a vet who provides good care for a good dog, not over the top care for a Westminster participant."
