Our dog is a patient at this vet's office. This practice is truly one of a kind. From the time I walk in the door, I am always welcomed with a smile and they often remember my pet's name. The entire staff is fantastic with him, giving him plenty of treats and peanut butter to put him at ease. :) The office is very clean and bright. They even called AFTER the appointment to make sure that he was ok after the vaccinations. The appointment card reminder had my pet's picture on it (could it get any cuter)??? On another occasion, my son and I were picking up a supplement for our pet. My son wanted to pet a cat so someone went and got one for him. We had been to another vet's office, and I was sure that we wouldn't be able to find a better place to take our dog when we moved. Then we discovered
. They surpass every (high) expectation that we have for the care of our pet. They are just phenomenal!!!

Dr.
at
was absolutely amazing.
When I initially called around looking for a veterinary home health service for my two cats, I got an answering service where I had to leave a message and wait (up to a business day) to be called back. When I called
, Dr.
immediately answered, making it a really personal experience. It made me feel at ease to know that I could call her number and get a more immediate response concerning the health of my pets.
When I spoke with her, she was extremely friendly. My husband and I have pretty hectic schedules, and she was able to book us an evening appointment (7 pm!) the following day.
When she arrived, you could tell that she has a true love of animals. She showed both of my cats so much affection and tenderness, it was as if she was treating her own cats. She answered all of our questions (we had a lot!) about the health of our cats, with patience and a knowledgeability you could really trust. She stayed at our house for an hour and a half. The kind of attention that she paid to us and to our cats was truly unmatched.
We will be referring
to all of our friends with pets. Our experience was so positive and hassle-free, and it certainly beat having to put our cats in a carrier, drive them to the vet, and potentially have them spend the night to wait to be seen by a doctor. Being able to save our pets the stress of that kind of experience is exactly what we were looking for.
We will absolutely be calling
again.

I called Beechwold after hours because a friend had left a plate out after he'd finished eating some pancakes with lite
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
syrup and my dog decided to lick up the syrup on the plate. I have always heard artificial sweeteners can be toxic to dogs, even in small amounts and rather rapidly. The ingredients listed were all unfamiliar chemicals and I assumed a lite syrup would have some kind of artificial sweetener. I called the office and left my number with the emergency service while I tried to do some more digging online. I got a call back from Dr.
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
from Riverside who was apparently the vet on duty for Beechwold. I will be polite and say he could not have been
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
and less professional. He tells me only Xylitol is a problem and I said I did not see that name on the bottle but the ingredients list was one long list of chemicals, could it be under some other name (you know like the long chemical name for Xylitol). So first he started to spell Xylitol for me and when I repeated I knew how to spell Xylitol, it was not on the ingredients list but there were other chemicals with which I was not familiar, he said, "well did you look online?" When I said no, he said, "So you called me before looking online. I see. Interesting."
When you are worried there might be a potentially toxic situation, the last thing you need is to be met with sarcasm and disdain. Maybe some emergencies don't turn out to be emergencies, but in this case, my judgement was that it warranted acting quickly and not researching the matter online before figuring out if something was going to
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
my dog.
If I cannot count on some professional guidance in what seemed like an emergency, there's really no point. Perhaps it is difficult for someone with a medical degree to discern that we civilians can't always tell the difference between an emergency and not, but then I guess I need to find some place where I'm not made to feel like an idiot.
My vet generally tells me not to rely on the internet for important questions, given the amount of misinformation. This was about a possible toxicity. My judgement was that it warranted an answer by a trained professional and not some internet site. But since Dr.
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
seems fond of the internet, I thought I'd oblige him on Angie's List.

I began using Dr.
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
(
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
) in 2011 when my dig Mister could no longer get into the car. That's the great thing about this Vet - she makes house calls. If you or your pet can't travel it's almost impossible to find a vet to come to your home. Dr.
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
was great with Mister; gentle, caring, etc. After his pain became really severe she was coming to my home in Delaware from Marysville every week to give him pain injections. When Mister's "time to go" came suddenly one day Dr.
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
came at 8:30 at night since it was an emergency. She has many emergencies that she takes care of with her in home patients. Putting Mister to sleep was the most painful thing I've ever been through. Dr.
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
comforted both Mister & me during the process. I called her several times in the following weeks to reassure myself that I had done the right thing. She helped me greatly during my period of intense grief. She also called a funeral home for me that night & they were wonderful. She is now my vet for my dog Buck & he loves her. It can be difficult at times to reach her but that's because she's on the road so much & responds to emergencies at people's homes all over the Marysville, Delaware, Columbus area. She does give you her emergency cell phone number for emergencies so if you can't get ahold of her call that number or go to the clinic. I have never had a better vet over 30 years of being a pet owner. Thanks Dr.

I wanted to get a laparoscopic spay instead of a traditional spay surgery on my puppy because it is less invasive with a smaller incision and faster recovery time (they make two 1/4 inch incisions and insert a camera in one and tools in the other). The procedure is only available in a very few veterinary facilities in
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
County. My vet (who does traditional spay) had quoted $220 for traditional and said I'd have to keep the puppy on a leash for a two week recovery. She is a high energy breed and I knew that would be difficult whereas the literature on the laparoscopic procedure said 48-72 hours and the dog could return to normal routine. I called around and found two places doing the laparoscopic (in Columbus and
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
) were quoting prices from $650 up to $900 depending on how the procedure went. The
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
Clinic which is located in
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
Ohio, just a 50 minute drive from my home, does laparoscopic spays and the price, while still a bit shocking compared to traditional, was much less than the two vets closer to home.
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
staff were very informative and friendly, the facility was clean. I spoke with Dr.
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
on the phone the Thursday before the procedure and then on Monday I took my puppy in late-morning for the spay. I filled out a form with the typical vaccine medical history; the vet tech gave me a tour of the facility and showed me the operating room.; and then Dr.
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
met with me and did an examination of my puppy and answered questions. I left at 11:30 A.M. and the puppy was going directly into surgery. I decided to wait in
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
and took my computer to Panera to get lunch and do some work. Dr.
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
called at 1:30 to say all had gone well. I picked my puppy up at 2:45 P.M. She was very groggy and drooling in the car. After a bathroom trip into the yard, I crated her in the room where I was sitting all evening and she mostly slept. Late evening she ate her dinner and took a pain pill. The first night she was restless and uncomfortable. Tuesday she ate normally, and went out on a leash to relieve herself multiple times, but mostly rested and slept much better at night. This is Wednesday and she is starting to show signs of wanting to be active (just grabbed a bag out of my coat pocket and tore it up). Tomorrow she is off restrictions. She has a lot of bare tummy from being shaved so I would definitely recommend getting a sweater for your puppy if you are doing winter surgery (I didn't think of that and went out yesterday to buy one).
The procedure is h****** our pets no matter how it is done. Someone needs to be home and aware of them for the evening following surgery and aware of what is going on the next day. But I do think this was definitely a less painful and less upsetting process. She is still on a pain medication but well on her way to recovery. I would definitely recommend The
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
Clinic team as a veterinary staff and especially for this procedure.

This clinic was recommended by the woman who is teaching my puppy obedience class and by a few people I've met at the dog park. My prior veterinarian of 19 years has a great "bedside manner" but, after going through cancer with a now deceased dog which resulted in much online research on my part, I decided I want more holistic options than my old vet offers.
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
has OSU educated veterinarians who practice traditional veterinarian medicine but they are also comfortable limiting vaccines to those required by law and the dog's lifestyle, and doing titer tests instead of annual re-vaccinations when appropriate. I spent about an hour at the appointment today and both Dr.
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
and the vet technician,
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
, were patient with my many questions about diet and the spay process. I felt like Dr.
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
gave my dog a thorough

exam.
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
has a program where you pay a one-time $69 (part of the above service cost shown for today) and from that point on the cost of common vaccines is complimentary when you come in and pay for an annual examination. I felt like the charges on my bill were reasonable - in range with my old veterinarian for the office visit and less for the blood panel than my old vet charges. The staff were all friendly to both me and the dog. Facility was clean and modern. I received an appointment reminder email the day before. I was seen promptly and given as much time as required for the purpose of the visit. They handle payments in the exam room which I found nice in that it avoids the typical chaos of trying to sign a credit card receipt while the dog is pulling toward the door and trying to

Last month we came to the understanding that it was best that our 12 year old golden retriever be put to sleep. This was an incredibly difficult time for our family and we felt that it should be done in our house versus taking our dog to a clinic. Our normal vet does not make house calls. After reading many reviews, we turned to Dr
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
. Within 24 hours of our first call, Dr
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
was out to see us. She handled this this situation with the utmost professionalism and empathy. I would highly recommend Dr

to any pet owner.

I was originally referred to Dr.
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
by a friend of mine when I was lamenting the fact that my cat, Punkin, HATED riding in the car. He would hyperventilate and pee in my car every time I tried to take him to a vet, and obviously I didn't want to stress him out any more than I had to. So, I was thrilled to find a vet who could come to my house. Dr.
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
had been caring for my Punkin since mid-2012 when he had, what we thought was, kidney failure. She and her technician came out 3 times per week for a few weeks to give him sub-q fluids (starting off during an 8 day power outage in the heat of
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
, no less). Miraculously, he appeared to make a full recovery, and various checks after that showed that he seemed to be doing fine. Until the beginning of October of this year when he started showing signs of dehydration, along with strange drooling, lethargy, and hiding out. He appeared to be declining rapidly, and I called Dr.
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
and she was able to come out the next day. Since she had cared for him previously, she could tell as soon as she saw him that something was gravely wrong. She wasn't sure what it was, but she knew it was pretty bad, and unfortunately I was scheduled to go out of town the next day so we didn't have a lot of time for tests and whatnot. So, because of his age and his history, and the fact that I didn't want him to suffer any more than he had, I decided to have him put to sleep. She told me that I had made a hard choice, but she felt I had done the right thing, which was very comforting. She and her technician were able to put Punkin down in his own home instead of traumatizing him by taking him to a strange vet's office. Dr.
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
explained what was going to happen, and she gave me some time with him to say goodbye. I feel like I had top notch care from Dr.
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
and her technician throughout the time she cared for him, and I can't thank her enough for the care she gave my beloved kitty. She even sent me a condolence card afterwards, which meant so much to me.

I brought my cat Daisy here for an appointment because she was not like her normal self. The appointment was at 5:30 pm on Friday only 30 mins before they close. This was the first time I had been to this particular vet and when I walked in everyone was very friendly. Dr.
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
examined Daisy and asked questions, then she felt her abdomen, which had a very large abnormal mass. Within 3 minuets Daisy was having an X-
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
and 7 mins later Dr.
Columbus Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
came in with some not so good news. It was between emergency surgery or euthanasia. I choose surgery and within 15 mins Daisy was being prepped for surgery. I got a call at 7:00 p.m. telling me the the surgery was a success and that she had ingested....wait for it....26 Hair ties, 6 types of plastic, 2 rubber-bands, and some Easter grass. Everyone in that office stayed late just for Daisy and I could not thank them enough. Two days later she is recovering very well. There are no words the describe how amazing this whole office is.
