"We greatly appreciated Dr. Turleys assistance in getting our cat to the least restrictive level of care when appropriate. He helped us decide the best course of" action and the Clinic was very helpful to us throughout the two-day medical crisis.

"Excellent, Dr. and the staff are always very friendly and helpful. I switched to Dr. a few months ago... I felt like" our previous vet and office treated us like a dollar sign. I have several friends who also use Dr. and they all speak very highly of him and his office.

Angie's Answers

?

Hi

The first answer is pretty thorough but I would like to add a few points.

First.. the type of food you are feeding your dog may be the key.  If you are using a food that is grain, rice or corn based in the first three ingredients, please change to a food that is meat or chicken based.  Many dogs are allergic to grain, rice, wheat and corn and these things are used as primary ingredients in many well known, name brand dog foods.  Secondly, all treats that have these ingredients should be cut out.  It takes weeks to months before a food change can show results so you must be patient.  Jumping from one food to another will be counter-productive.

Some dogs are so allergic to flea or other insect bites that one or two bites can cause a severe reaction.  Once the itching/scratching cycle begins, it is hard to stop it.  Benadryl is good but I suggest liquid form.  You can get it inexpensively at one of the dollar stores.  The pills take time to break down in the digestive system so you get better and faster results with the liquid. One tsp= 5cc and most dogs of average size can tolerate that much and more if the dog is a larger breed.

Allergy testing is very expensive and most dogs will test positive to some things.  That does not mean that the itching is coming from those things as many things in the environment can trigger positive test results.  Breaking the cycle of itching is primary and that can be done with prednisone ( short term and last resort after benadryl and bathing), allergy shots( same deal, last resort after easier methods).   This spring and summer have been particularly hard, weather-wise.

Good luck!

After you search for the company, you should get the "no results" page. Scroll down just a little bit, and you'll see a button and a link that say "Add this provider." Click on that to add them to the List! Thanks for the great question.
?
I'm really sorry! It looks like we made some site changes I hadn't noticed before and it made things just a little more confusing (for me, too!). We'll have to look into this to make it easier.
In the meantime, here's what you do:
1) Look for the Submit a Report button. It's yellow and on the right-hand side of the page.
2) Search for the animal cancer care clinic you're looking for. The search box should be inside a yellow bar.
3) You should see a list of potential matches, but on top of those, there should be "add a provider to the List" text in blue, which is where you'll click to get to the add page.

Let me know if you have any trouble. Sorry, again, for this being so confusing.

Have been going to for over 12 years. A great place that cares about my pet every time. One concern is their hours for apps. in that they are closed from 12:30-2. Makes it very difficult sometimes to get in but will still continue to use them due to their caring for my pet.

We go to them because of the high blood pressure. We have taken her there for a couple of years. He is really good with her and is very gentle with cats and stuff. He kind of seems to know how to hold her, talk to her and calm her down. They are really good with her. They are nice in the office. I walk in now and they write it down so I don't have ...More to give them my name. The location is close to me. That is the reason why I first took here there. It is clean and I am happy.

It was fairly reasonable. There are two other vets in his practice and we like all of them. They're very thorough. They explain the options and they're reasonable price-wise. We have 10 dogs. We wouldn't be going there if we weren't happy. we've used them for 13 years,

The one thing about is that they aren't the fastest or always super-punctual. But the flip side to that is they will spend as much time with us as is needed and answer any questions we may have. If that means they sometimes get off-schedule, It's okay with me. When it's just shots or a quick exam it would be nice ...More to be speedier. But, when there really is a health concern, like we've been through with a few of our pets, I can't imagine anyone caring more or taking so much time to find the right solution. The people at really are great!

They've been my vet for a very long time and I've always been very pleased with them. They do a lot of follow-up and those kinds of things. They were very accommodating. They got me in right away. I think they're kind and caring. I think they have a genuine affection for all the animals that they take care of. I think their pricing is reasonable.

I started taking my cats to in 1995. The veterinarian then has since retired. The two women veterinarians who currently own the practice are very caring and have been seeing my dogs (current and past dogs) for years. The support staff at this animal hospital are long-term employees who are efficient, friendly, ...More the customer and animal by name, and do their jobs well. The exam fee at is the same as other animal hospitals in the area. My experience has been they are a little pricier for some other services such as teeth cleaning and bloodwork than some places I've compared - but well within the normal range of veterinary service costs for the area. They are a traditional practice but have been willing to work with my desire for a reduced vaccine schedule and titer tests instead of re-vaccination more commonly used at holistic veterinary practices.
I was in a multi-car accident with my dog in the car (thankfully my dogs wear a seat-belt on their harness). While I was still dealing with the accident, my mother picked the dog up and took her to . The dog was fine but I greatly appreciate the staff at took my dog in immediately without an appointment and gave her a thorough exam. The veterinarian called the next day to follow-up on the dog's condition. It was a tremendous relief in a stressful situation to know my pet was getting good care when I couldn't be present.
The second visit this month was planned. I have a re-homed dog who has some quirks. The veterinarian at has been helping me to find a solution to the dog's manic behavior over several months. we've had multiple phone conversations and tried some non-drug calming options but felt it was time to come in for a medical review because the dog was climbing trees, and falling out, and I was afraid she would get hurt. I appreciate that the vets did not immediately jump to the idea of medicating the dog but has been working with me. I also appreciate that, with a regular patient, they do phone consults when an appointment is unnecessary but are also available when we need to come in. Further, at this visit, I asked about OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) x-rays I needed done on a different dog for her breeder, wanting to know if this was something does frequently. The veterinarian told me I'd be better off with a place that does OFA more often for this. That shows integrity.
I would strongly recommend because of the quality of people who work in the practice. I have tried or called other practices a few times over the 20 years I've gone to (either because of my having a budget issue, or a special service need such as the OFA x- noted above, or a second opinion on a serious health issue) but I return to because I feel like they absolutely care about my animals. I use them for both annual wellness exams and for health issues (which with my active dogs can be multiple times every year) so my experience involves a wide-range of services.

Dr. Rich was wonderful! The purchase contract for my puppy required that I have tests done for hip/elbow dysplacia and thyroid for the OFA database when the puppy had her second birthday. This is often required by responsible breeders so that genetic disorders can be tracked for future breeding decisions regarding a puppy's ...More litter-mates. The breeder, and her veterinarian, advised seeking a local veterinarian who would not anesthetize but would either do the x- awake or with a small amount of sedation (tranquilized but not put out). Having read about the risks of anesthetizing, I agreed. I have two vets I have regularly used in the past - one said they don't do OFA x-rays and the other would only do it with anesthesia so I called 10 vets in the Columbus area and they all said they would anesthetize for the process. I then asked a dog trainer I know locally who breeds her dogs and she said she personally drives her dogs to Ohio to a veterinarian who specializes in OFA x-rays without sedation when she does OFA for her breeding program. However, the dog trainer also said she would ask other local breeders on my behalf. Dr. Rich at was recommended to her several times so she passed the name on to me. Everyone at was pleasant and efficient. Dr talked to me for a few minutes, scanned the dogs micro-chip, verified the paperwork I'd filled out, and then took my dog back for the x-rays while I waited about 20 minutes. Dr did the x-rays with no sedation. Then she went over the views with me and explained what I was seeing. She gave me a disk with the x-rays and took care of the paperwork for sending the required info into OFA. The 10 Columbus area veterinarians I had called quoted prices between $220 to $740 for the x-rays with anesthesia so the $290 charged by was reasonable for the service as well as being the only place that offered the non-anesthesia service I desired (for price comparison: that $740 quote was MedVet which is a hospital rather than a veterinary office). I would strongly recommend Dr. Rich and .

Dr. Rich is fantastic. The prices are a bit higher than other places so I will shop around at times. I found a place in that did a spaying of my Yorkie for almost half of . But, when you animal is sick, GAH is always able to get us in ASAP.
